I'll hold your hand through the wizened wrinkles; even if your beautiful mind will eventually crinkle.
Crinkled & crumpled into creases too deep for sunshine to peek through.
(My fingertips will still slowly but surely fix it.)

Even when the hair tickling my bare shoulders, collarbones & necks on lazy sunday morning is no longer quite the same.

I'll be right here.
Hey hey hey! :')
Whoo. I wrote this after I discovered a strand of white in my hair.
I WAS SO SHOCKED.
I MEAN, I am not even at the age to HAVE white hair.
:')
Anyhoo, how have you been darling readers?

The simplest of my desires,
an ailment for these wounds;
They avoid me like the stars
were just fleeing from the moon.
Time has no mercy,
so precise in his plan,
because now was the then
when then slipped through a strand.
A novel of thoughts,
but no language for the pen.
Sinking skin and brittle bones,
when soul so lonesome spent.
The blood of every battle
spills the same as the last.
Buried with every loss
to relinquish the past.
Eaten by desire,
for a kiss on these wounds.
Hold me like the stars
stay aside the moon.

We study to get good grades,
We get good grades to get into a good college,
We get into a good college to have a good job,
We get a good job to have lots of money,
We get lots of money to make us happy.

So if I'm happy now,
without studying
without getting good grades
without being in a good college
without having a good job
without having lots of money

*Then why must I search for more?
a paradox in life.

I heard your life's been hard,
you're counting the welts on your soul.
You've played all your cards,
working towards no specific goal.

You're texting for hours on your phone,
Yet you still feel so alone.
You can eat at work or school,
But you're never really full.

Well, guess what?
Inspiration's knocking
So don't be door-locking
Here's some light to keep at bay,
the demons that chase you night and day

Let's start.

I believe everything turns out well in the end.
If it's still sour, then it *
isn't the end.

The sky is never the limit, you will reach your dream soon.
If the sky was the limit, why are there
footprints on the moon?

There's always a way to stand out, and not to be just "passable"
Remember, every great achievement was once known as
impossible.

There will come a day when you can't open up your eyes,
*
But what matters is what you do until that day arrives.
Every time I see a depressing quote here, I have two choices.
Feel down, or get everyone up.
I choose the latter.

I Cannot Write

bones
I cannot write
I cannot find
behind the creases
of my mind
the words to fill
another line,
those words wait
out of sight
for now I
cannot write.

His Down's Syndrome makes
His age a tough guess, I'll
Say eight to ten.

Wide eyes on machines,
Ice cream dripping on the
Pavement outside the

Construction site.
I wanna work like this when
I grow up,
he says in

Young enthusiasm to a mother
Whose eyes well up with
Gratitude when I approach

And kneel down in front of
Him. So you want a job,
Buddy?
I ask him with a

Wink. He suddenly remembers
His ice cream and bites into
It shyly. Nods, glancing at the

Tools in my belt, the scratches
On my arms, the brick wall
I've been attacking with a

Wacker jackhammer. Nods
Again. Well, I'll see you in a
Few years,
I say with another

Wink, this time to his mother,
Who'd look her young age if
Her eyes weren't as tired,

But you can start with this
And get some practice.
I hand
Him my Stanley Fat Max

Hammer. His ice cream
Hits the ground as he
Recieves it with both hands,

Looking to his mother for
Confirmation that it's ok.
Oh, it is. She mouths a

Thank you SO much...
They walk away, his chatter
High pitched and fading

Around the corner. And I
Head over to the foreman to
Report that I lost my hammer.

Don't ever employ me.
I can work a good game, but
I'm too soft around little heroes.
