my cat was in the garden when he saw a mouse
he chased up the path it run to my house
chased it round the kitchen all around the floor
the mouse he wanted fun he just wanted more.

he run up the stairs to the very top
mouse he loved the chase and didnt want to stop
cat he  kept on chasing this cheeky little chap
and the little mouse he was going to trap.

but mouse he got away run out through the door
back into the garden free again once more
the poor cat was tired it took his breath away
and vowed to catch the mouse on another day.

my cat was in the garden he brought in a mouse
then he let  it go here inside my house.

he chased it round the kitchen all along the floor
underneath the cupboards and through the kitchen door.

but the mouse was clever and climbed into a hole
he was out of breath the poor little soul.

he waited for the cat to fall fast asleep
then  back into the garden the little mouse did creep

today my cat had kittens there are only three
cuddled up together a lovely as can be
looking for a teet so they can have a feed
for the mothers milk something that they need

with there eyes still closed they still think its night
feeling in the dark to fill there appetite
mother she is lying in the basket too
licking all her kittens just like mothers do

one is very stripey mixed in with a grey
first one too born first one on the way
the other two are black with a touch of white
born very shortly afterwards. sometime in the night

mother she seems fine after all the strain
now her fat has gone shes nice and slim again.

he would rob the rich and give to those ineed
a very friendly cat a thoughtful cat indeed

climbing up the drainpipes he was very fit
with his torch and sack his little burgle kit
getting in through windows that were left ajar
a proper little thief a litttle burgle star

roaming round the house to see what he could find
that would help the poor he was very kind
looking through the draws and the wardrobes to
searched in every room like the burglers do

then he would get his ***** put it in his sack
wiping off his finger prints not leave his track
then off to help the poor the little cat would go
donating all his ***** gave there hearts a glow

like to chase a ball all along the floor
flicks it everywhere stops it with his paw

he tries catching flies on the window sill
always up to something he his never still
then when he gets tired takes a rest and then
wakes again once more  then off he goes again

when his playtimes over sits upon my knee
lays down on my lap to keep me company
as i stroke his fur his eyes begin to close
in to slumberland the little cat he goes

i can here him purring happy as can be
he is my best friend and he belongs to me

there was a little cat a diving cat was he
swimming in the ocean in the deep blue sea
he took a little trip a little holiday
to swim around a reef so very far away
he traveled to Australia to the barrier reef
putting on his air tanks he swam underneath
deep in to the coral ready to explore
he saw lots of things he never saw before
there were lots of fish swimming all around
as tranquil a can be you couldnt hear a sound
there were lots of ***** and some starfish too
some of them were red and some of them were blue
lots of living plants as lovely as can be
putting on a show there beneath the sea
he was so amazed at the beauty he had found
so many different things with views that did astound
cat he had to go swam back to the top
his air was getting low and soon the air would stop
he was really happy with his holiday
underneath the reef so very far away

two little caterpillars sat upon a leaf
one was on the top the other underneath
they walked along the leaf one on either side
with there tiny legs  both of them would slide

they would chew away until the leaf had gone
then find another leaf and simply carry on
they would chew and chew every single day
turn into a butterfly and gently fly away.

there was a caterpillar feeling very strange.
as in to a butterfly he began to change.

first he grew his wings with colors oh so bright.
flapping them together until his wings took flight.
.
now he is very happy and doesent mind the change.
such a lovely buttefly and no longer strange

there was a group of caterpillers they became a band
so they could rock n roll all across the land
they would make a record and sell it out of stock
then everyone would dance to the caterpillar rock.

they  could play for hours putting on a show
filling up the venue  where ever they would go
when ever they were playing.  they would bring a crowd
pleasing all the people made them very proud.

they just loved to rock and play the night away
rocking and a rolling in there caterpillar way

eating all my cabbage with a crunch crunch crunch
then on to the cauliflower for another chew
they are everywhere there are quite a few

when they all have finished.  on there eating spree
my veg patch it is empty nothing left for me
maybe next year  i will build a netted cage
stop the caterpillars from there munch munch stage

they will move along find somewhere else to lunch
find another place where they can munch munch munch

two little caterpillars sat upon a leaf

there was once a catfish with whiskers very long
he was very big and very very strong
he would look for food on the river bed
he could sense it out from whiskers on his head

one day when he was searching looking for a feed
he heard a funny noise coming from the reed
there he saw a frog who looked like he was stuck
so the catfish swam across to have a closer look

the catfish used his whiskers pushed the reed aside
so out from the reed the little frog could slide
frog he thanked the catfish as he swam away
now they are both friends to this very day

cats they can be so loving i have one so i know
i got her as kitten seventeen years ago
she is  my best friend keeps me company
and her loving way she still gives to me

tho she is getting old her loves still there for me

theres a cat next door he comes to visit me
same time every day when its time for tea
i think he smells the food that im about to cook
he sits on my sill takes a little look

i fill  a litte bowl fill it with some meat
then he claws the window asking for his treat

there was a tabby cat as ginger as can be
he was very cheeky a mischevious chap was he
chasing after birds  gave him such a thrill
always on the move never ever still.

oneday on his travels he saw a wheely bin
lifted up the  lid and took a quick peek in.

there he saw a kitten he began to cry
trying to get out but bin was far to high
cat he hung his tail in to pull the kitten free
i will set you free he  said just hang on to me

cat he pulled him out he was free at last
he was very lucky that cat was walking past
cat he was so happy setting kitten free
now there friends forever and will always be

i like cats and dogs they mean the world to me
they give you lots love and there love is free

always there beside  faithful and so kind

someone to rely on they are always there

as i was walking home one night
i saw two eyes shining bright
in the tree  i saw a cat
on a branch he was sat

he sat there and looked at me
his eyes were shining from the tree
it was dark but his eyes were bright
shining through into the night

he was only small in size
reflecting  light from his eyes
i wont forget that little cat
or the tree where he was sat

there is a little cat a cheeky chap is he
he tries to catch the birds high up in the tree
climbing up the branches stalking out his prey
quiet as a mouse as he climbs away

heading for the top where the birds all stay
but the birds all hear him then they fly away
the cat he climbs back down is climbing it is done
though they flew away the cat had so much fun

there was little cat he was just a stray
he never had home just roamed around all day
climbing in to bins looking for a treat
something that he liked something he could eat.

he was very friendly as cute as cute can be
oneday while i was passing cat he followed me
he began to purr and rubbed against my knee
looking for some love and maybe get his tea.

i took him home to my house put him down some meat
and some kitty biscuits for a little treat
i made a little bed somewhere he could sleep
made it from a box very warm and deep.

cat had found a friend and that friend was me
decided i would keep him and have some company.
now the cat was free no longer just a stray
he still with me now to this very day.

leaving all the crumbs lying on the floor

where ever celtic played thats were he would be
with his football top of colors green and white
and his wooly hat that was so very bright
he travelled round the country when they played away
then when celtic won it really made his day
a proper football fan  with football built inside
a dedicated mouse full of celtic pride
