They told me to listen
because they’d already learned
enough from books to know

as they burned my soul
in their book burning glow.

Choices made in ignorance follow us the rest of our lives. It doesn’t matter to others what we knew at the time. Many see people as 2 dimensional on their own 2 dimensional way of thinking. A person can only be their experience and memories, and you should forgive them for that. It usually isn’t their fault.

Seem harsh

But what else
You gonna do?
We don't have that much time
And there's drugs
To push through
Should we have let em eat peanuts
And lose a few?
Or medicate
Remorseless
Chemistry
Anew?

Falling through Jupiter

I have dreamt
But not often
Of falling through the clouds
Of our largest neighbour
In the moment
It's not specific
But it gets it location
When I wake
And then
I'm still tumbling
Will my atoms
Resist the break?

Moaning low
Dimming eyes
Loosening sphincter
Asking to be let go.
