In a Forest

We needed some  change
To choose, wide was the range;
Selected we a little  forest;
Where we would get some  rest.

Peaceful it was; indeed serene.
Beautiful trees and grass, lush green.
For a change, it was so clean.
There I planted many  a bean.

The air was clean and there was cool breeze.
But sad it was to see, so many  cut off trees.
Mom said, "this is very bad  for our Earth;
We are destroying our health and mirth".

Lived we have this year, in anxiety n fear.
This entire year, was often out of gear.

મારી ભૂખ

કૃપા કરી, બસ બેજ રોટલી ખાઉં, એવું જમતિ વેળા આપ મને યાદ.
કરું છુ હું તને વિનંતી; કરતી નથી કોઈ ફરિયાદ.

આં રીતે શરીર મારું રેહસે તંદુરસ્ત ને સ્વસ્થ.
હવે થઇ રહી છું હું, વૃદ્ધ, થોડી વય વ્યસ્ત.

થશે ઓછા ખોરાક થી મને ફાયદા અનેક.
તો આજથી કરાવ મને આં કામ નેક.

સ્વસ્થ થશે તન, ચંચળ રેહશે મન.
ગરીબો ના ભાગે, આવશે વધારે અન્ન.

આં રીતે કરીશ હું ભલાઈ ના કામ.
આં કર્મ થી, જરૂર આવશે સારો અંજામ.

પ્રભુ પ્યારા, વિનંતી મારી કરજે સ્વીકાર.
નિયમિત કસરત અને આહાર થી સુંદર થશે આકાર.

I felt like writing this,after hearing about the killings of six hundred elephants.

O human, so very selfish do not be.
Open your eyes, and God's goodness see.
Cruel n self-centred be not.
In your own web get caught, do not .
Ivory, fetch you may money some;
But a crime it is, to **** helpless animals dumb.
Beware please, not to take this curse
Or y will have to live a life, worse.

તકદીર

તકદીર સાથે કર નહિ તું તકરાર; સમજીને, ચૂપચાપ કબૂલ કરી લે તારી હાર.

માનવ, તું ભલે ચઢે તાર પર કે ઝાડ પર, તકદીર સાથે થાય નહિ તારાથી તકરાર.

સમય તારો હોય જો ખરાબ, તો મુખ ફેરવી લેય પોતાના યાર

વિમુખ થાય તારાથી તારો પ્યાર, યા તો કરે નહિ એc એકરાર.

તકદીર માં તાકાત છે એટલી કે પટકાઈ જાય એક ઉત્તમ ઘોડેસવાર.

અથવા ડૂબી જાય એક અઠ્ઠંગ તરનાર, માટે જ કહે છે, તકદીર સાથે કર નહિ તું તકરાર.

Before ill we speak about another, lets please contemplate;

Words bitter once spoken; a permanent wound create.

Amends made by us thereafter are a total waste;

Does it make any sense to sorry say to a dead man, you killed in haste ???

It's Christmas n to wish you, I am, once again here.
May your birthday, bring in a lot of love, joy n cheer.

Love is like a river, just flowing with water, crystal clear.
That's why, unconditionally I love you my dear.

When I see you, I am always in top gear;
But to be far away; I dread and fear.

Love you unconditionally I do, though you are not my peer.
Love you I do not, just because you are a seer.

Love you why, I know not; whether you are far or near.
To love you, a reason there isn't;  I just love you my dear.

Love lasts life long, true this is; for it has been many a year.

PLANT TREES

Man, oh man, please grow some green;

If not a tree, plant at least a seed or bean.

This will help us keep our planet cool and serene.

In a little space grow a Mango tree, adorn your garden it will, like a queen.

A drumstick tree will ensure good health, if ill you have been

In small spots,  beautiful looking Money plants, I have seen.

To improve our oxygen and reduce pollution, we must be keen.

For this every human, from within, towards GREENERY must lean.

Darling Valentine,

Fell in love with you, the moment saw you I.

years after; till today the reason, I don't know why.

To tell you though, I was always very shy.

A rose you bought me never; asked you for it I never.

But this nostalgic relationship, I couldn't ever sever.  

Deep down from my heart, I will love you forever.

LOVE explain I cannot; however hard  try I may.

Only know this I, that in my heart, forever you will stay.

A poet expresses his views, his feelings, which on him, has had a deep impact.

Tries he, to a message share,  about something important that he really does care.

To  crush those delicate feelings, to be harsh on them; will it be really fair???

It is said that a poet reaches the darkest corner,  where doesn't reach the Sun.

Because of anguish, ire, feelings delicate, to read a poem may not always be fun;

Yet, request you I, to always read a poem with your heart,  not your head

Very sensitive is a poet about his work; for all his delicate feelings into a poem he has fed.

सालों बीते, कितने सावन आए और गए;

To help honest men, is our duty divine.
Once honest people rule, things will be fine.
Help him let us, who hardly sleeps or dines.
Come, unite n him help, who is as precious as a gold mine.
Unfortunately we have only one honest against ninety nine

Died I, most willingly, for my Mother land

Bothers no one weather in water or sand.

Left behind were my beloveds, parents, kids, wife.

No one will ever understand their sorrow n strife.

A soldier for his nation, gives his all.

He fights unto his breath last, n then falls.

People I wish so indifferent n callous were not.

Respect they would every soldier who valiantly fought.

O God in Heaven, this respect, to them, please teach.

For our Army, a prayer, compassion, respect some, I beseech.

I know,  faith, patience,  prayers all give us a helping hand;

But whom do I ask,  about the purpose of our creation

Why birth, why adversities, fights n its long duration

Why do we have to be grilled,  tortured n troubled

Why is  happiness,  peace,  health all wrapped n bubbled

Its common to see the wicked proper n goodness suffering in silence

Why is there between goodness and evil no balance ?

Help me to Your mysterious ways accept  and understand

Lord, please  give me Your kind,  benevolent  healing hand.

I complain shouldn't......

Complain I shouldn't about my hair turning grey n scanty
Oh they were dark brown, glossy with a bounce, at twenty.

I now mix up colours and shades in dim light.
Earlier, very powerful and keen was my sight.

Very powerful and keen was my sense of smell;
Today, though not perfect, it's quite well.

Taste I could, n proudly the ingredients, name.
Today, I still can differentiate but not in the way, same.

Tiredness, fatigue, pain, I knew not, what this was !
Strength from the body, waning gradually is; age is the cause.

Changes these, are part of aging; it's an ongoing process.
Accept this fact, with all my heart, I should; and complain less.

In this world, many, in a worse position than me are.
Thankful to Ahura be I should, for keeping me reasonablly healthy, so far.

A GOOD DEED A DAY KEEPS THE DEVIL AWAY.

One,  at least one good deed, do we must, every day.

With the elderly,  a little while spend,  everyday;

With a child, simply become one, enjoy and play;

May be sing, paint or play in sand or with clay

With hubby/wife  keep suspicion absolutely at bay.

With relatives n friends, in their hour of need, please stay.

A little social work, will enhance your very own day.

And above all,  please don't forget to thank  Ahura n pray.

All of a sudden, felt she thrilled, without any particular reason.

Wondered she, why this sudden feeling of bliss, without any reason!

These days,  parties there were plenty; it was the usual  wedding season;

But why this beautiful out of the world feeling all of a sudden, sans any reason!

Then her heart,  a beat skipped and her pulse raced, as she saw him;

Oh ! Perhaps it could be just someone similiar; it possibly couldn't be him !

Thought she,  perhaps  the atmosphere is romantic; the dance floor alluring with lights dim;

But told her,  her heart it is no one but him; it is very much him !

Aww, so very many years had passed ! aged he did look; but was almost the same.

Stop herself she couldn't,  n towards him flew! everything seemed the same !

Breathless ! touching him lightly, in a voice quivering, she said a hello lame!

Looking up, stared he at her face  sallow; lighted his eyes,  the spark was the same !

Their eyes met n volumes spoke; no words spoken were; but tears streamed in pain !

Simply unaware of their surroundings, lost they were ! down memory lane !

Breaking the spell he offered his hand, n smiled slowly; see she could on his face, immense pain.

Took his hand she did; n they danced, just like before; again slipping down memory lane.

Her head, she rested on his chest, hearing his beats; n after years, felt she comfort deep

Years had passed,  but love never dies; buried it was always in their chests, ribs n hearts deep.

Oh darling  where were you all these years ! Why Didn't you my love,  your promise keep  ?

Speak nothing just now, alive I want to feel; just stare into my eyes deep !

Forgetting everything n everybody around them, lost they were in their own world

This joy immense, lessened her wrinkles, as she around him entwined n curled.

Two lost lovers, two people but one soul, reunited after ages; today found their lost world.

Nature, Her blessings showered at the elderly couple, as transformed they, into another world.

But totally unaware I am, whether to you they ever do reach .

If to you they do not reach, then wonder I, where is the hitch.

સાનિધ્ય

કુદરત ના સાનિધ્ય માં, ઝાડના છાંયડે, બે પળ બેસવા દે મને;

તું પણ બેસી ને જો બે પળ અહીં,  પરમ શાંતિ મળશે તને.

એક ઝાડ આપે છાયો અને શીતળ ઠંડક; મટાડે આપણો થાક.

આપે એ પ્રાણ જેટલો કીમતી પ્રાણવાયુ; કરતો ના તું, એને કાપવાનો વાંક.

કોયલ ટહુકે, પક્ષીઓ કરે કલરવ એની ડાળીઓ પર, ગાય મીઠા ગીત.

યાદ છે તને, કદમ ના ઝાડ હેઠે, પાંગરી હતી, રાધા કૃષ્ણની પ્રીત.

વાવ તું ઝાડ, એક, બે કે ત્રણ; કાશ હું વાવી શકું એક આખું વન.

કોશિશ પૂરી કરે ભગવાન, માનવ જો બનાવી લેય  એનું મન.

ગડમથલ

જીવન ની  ગુંચવણ નથી સંભાળી શક્તિ હું,  ઓ દિનાનાથ;

હિમ્મત આપ, આપ તારો પ્રેમાળ  હાથ,  અને તારો  સાથ.

નાતવાન થઈ ગયું  છે શરીર, મજબુતીથી  પકડજે  મારો નબળો હાથ;

એમ પકડજે, જેમ પકડીયો હતો કૃષ્ણ એ  પાર્થ નો હાથ.

જીવન માં ગડમથલ જવાનું  લેતી નથી નામ, ભિષણ છે એની બાથ;

આવે છે આં જીવન માં સંકટ અણે કેટલી એ ઘાત

ખમવા પડે છે ન જાણે કેટલા ય તોફાન અણે જાત જાત ના આઘાત

ગુંચવણ ઉકેલ અમારી

ગુંચવાઇ ગઈ છે જિંદગી એવી; માનો ગુંચ પડી હોય લટો માં ગેહરિ

કેવુ સુંદર હતું જીવન;  હતું ઍ ખુશાલ, બિન્દાસ્ત અને લેહરિ .

તબાહ થઈ ગઈ જિંદગી, માનો લટો નહિ, સાપોના ગુંચડાં હોય  જેહરિ.

દાતા, સુજાડ કોઇ ઉપાય, આપજે એક કાંસકો જાદુઇ સરસ;

શાંતિથી કાઢે જે ગુંચ, તો પસાર થાય સુખથી, બાકીના શેષ વર્ષ.

બહારમાં ખીલે  ફુલો અસંખ્ય, સાવનમાં વર્ષાથી  મટે તરસ.

ऐसा क्यों हुआ

बचपन मेरा, था खुशियों से भरपूर
मानो दुख तो था मुझ से, कोसो दूर
पर किस्मत ने किया मज़ाक एक क्रूर
अब हो गई है मेरी खुशियां मुझसे कोसों दूर ।

अब सोचने के लिए हो गया हूं मै मजबूर;
मुझे मेरी खुशियों का, न घमंड था न गुरूर
पता नहीं, ऐसे क्यू हुआ, मैं तो कभी न था मग्रुर ।
किस्मत को शायद मेरी खुशियां नहीं थी मंजूर ।

रिश्ते

रिश्ते हसाते भी  है और रुलाते भी है बार बार
पर अब तो रिश्ते ही बदलने लगे हैं लगातार।
पैसे हो तो मनुष्य बन जाता है गले का हार; देख लिया, चारों ओर है व्यापार।
ऐ मालिक, देखना, इन रिश्तों पे से, उठ न जाए, इस जिवका ऐतबार।

इनसान की हैसियत देखके रिश्ते बदलते हैं अपना रंग
पैसा और पावर हो तो चलते हैं सब उस इंसान के संग संग।
पैसा कम होते ही, रिश्तेदार बदलने लगते हैं अपना रंग;
अपने हो जाते है पराए, यह देखते हो गई मै दंग।

अपने कौन और कौन पराये, यह वक्त बता जाता है पलमे हमें ।
दिल में तो क्या, घर में भी नहीं आने देते हैं अब हजूर तुम्हे।
यह रंग बदलती दुनिया के, रंग समझ न आए हमें।
जब अपनों ने ही किया पराया, तो अब हम क्या कहे  तुम्हें ?

HER PLIGHT

Poor soul, felt I, really sorry to see her glum plight

For years she has been trying to make situations light ;

For every little thing,  puts up her husband a fight;

Seriously,  he needs to hold his tongue really tight.

Many times, it lands her in a situation awkward  or tight .

Now in her life, sees she nothing beautiful or bright

Says she sadly, " there is no hope; not a ray of  light "

Under some pretext or the other he fights day n night.

Fighting with her on Valentine's Day was the height.

It's so difficult to see her sorrowful face, her plight.

Lord Kind, please o please, for her, make things right

Scared of  you  tiny creature, is the entire human race

Fear death they if find they,  your slightest trace

Brought you have this planet to an almost standstill

Buckled their knees they have; surrendered, because you ****.

Shivers this race, when sneezes someone  n you,  your infection release.

What is Nature trying to us teach, ponder upon this please.

THIS DIWALI

Let us be true children of the soil n Mother India;
Let us,  like in  ancient times,  use  mud  "diyas".
Many from this pandemic have suffered directly or indirectly,  let us help Nature n our own  artisans by using these  Mud  "diyas".
Chinese products may be cheaper, but they use OUR MONEY AGAINST US . Pleeeeeeease don't let this happen. Use our own INDIAN, home made products and celebrate this wonderful festival of lights.
Let us light someone's life. By doing this,  many poor people will benefit.
LET'S DO OUR DUTY TOWARDS MOTHER INDIA  AND  MOTHER EARTH.

आपको भी पता न चला, लेता हूं मै आपका ही नाम ।

लिख लेता हूं कभी, समुंदर की रेत पर यह नाम

पर समुंदर का पानी, उसे मिटाने का करता है काम

फिर भी, बुझा लेता हूं इस तरह, मैं अपने अंदर की आग

और रखता हूं ध्यान, आप के पाक दामन पे लग न जाए कोई दाग

बस, खिला लेता हूं खुशी की कलिया और फूल, बैगर कोई बाग ।

तस्वीर पे आप की, लगा देता हूं रंग, आता है जब फाग

मस्तिष्क केहता है दिल को, यह सपना है, इससे तु जाग

कहता है, समझ सच्चाई को; बस यही है तेरा भाग

नहीं तो तू, इस इश्क़ में हो जाएगा बदनाम और बरबाद ।

पर दिल चाहता है, मै संजो के रखु तेरा नाम, तेरी याद;

होथो पे सदा रहे तेरा ही नाम; और हो न कोई विवाद

ગુરુ પૂર્ણિમા

મારા બધા ગુરૂજીઓ ને મારા માનભર્યા પ્રણામ.

નિત્ય પ્રેમભાવ થી લઉં છું હું, તમારું બધાનું માન ભર્યું નામ.

કરું છું પ્રેમાંજલી, શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્પણ, જેમને આપ્યો મને જનમ.

મારો બદમાશ બકરો

એક છે મારો નાનો નટખટ બદમાશ બકરો.

જરા બી પહેરવા ગમે નહીં એને ડ્રેસ જે હોય કક્રો.

અને યાદ રાખે નહી એ લેસન નો કોઈ બી ફકરો.

ને ગૂંચવાઈ જાય જો બાદ કરવો પડે એકડો

બદમાશ બકરા ને ગમે ખાવા માચ્છી પણ ખાય નહિ કદી કેકડો

ગમે નહીં એને જોવા બી ગળોડી, વાંદા કે દેડકો.

મમ્મી, ડેડી, મા, દે અને ફ્રેયું ની એ બહુ લાડકી

ખાય પેટ ભરીને મીઠાસ અને થોડી ખીરા કાકડી.

ગમે એને હરવા ફરવા, અને પેહરવા ઓઢવા; લાગે એ ફાંકડી.

બધિ ચીજો માં પોતાનુ ડાહ્પન  દેખાડવાની, મુશ્કીલ કરવા, કોઇ  સરળ વાત

દોઢ ડાહ્યાને  ચેન નહિ પડે , જ્યાં સુધી બતાવે નહિ એ, એની અસલ  જાત.

ભગવાન જાણે, શું મળે એને, ઊંડી  કે પોહ્ળી કરવા હર તિરાડ, હર  ફાટ.

નાની નાની વાતો નું કરે વતેસર, સગા સંબંધીઓ ને રંજાડિ, ભીડે બધાની સાથે બાથ.

પરમેશ્વર પ્યારા, શિદ પડે છે માનવને આવી આદત, આં ટેવથી  દુર રેહવા, આપજે મને સાથ.

REALISATION

When truth strikes, it often shatters n deeply hurts us.

Our eyes moist become; n people may think it's fuss.

Or from a shock some may suffer, unable to reconcile

Before they can digest n accept, it takes a while.

Stabbed is our heart brutally  n deeply pains our mind;

When discover we, it's our own, whom later, guilty we find.

The mind almost accepts this fact; but the heart reluctant is.

Why is that your own try to hurt you;   why is this on an increase?

Answers the mind, " money, power and social status".

To relationships sever or reduce; different are the apparatus.

Think I, people today suffer from  diseases like indifference n hatered

Often it's our very own, who are shunned, disrespected or betrayed.

Earlier warmth there was in a family, along with togetherness.

Today this is taken over by indifference, ego n utter selfishness.

The earlier we realize this, the better it is for us all;

Into the trap of wicked Ahreman-devil, let's not as a prey fall.

निशानी

जब गया तूं, कभी भी न लौटने के लिए, तो मोहन, एक  निशानी तो  छोड़ जाता !

नैन बिछाये बैठे रहे, मेरा प्यार, शायद तुझे, इस ओर  खिंचके लाता  

न कोई निशानी छोडी, जिसे हम दिलसे लगाये रखते; बस याद में तेरी रोते रहे

पर तूं तो लौटा ही नहीं, और हम आश लगाये बैठे रहे, बस  बैठे ही रहे

तूं कभी वापस न आया; मौसम बदले, सालों बीते, पर तूं लौट के न आया ।

जीना चाहते न थे, पर जीना पडा; तो तेरे मोर पंखको हमने सिने से लगाया ।

वही तुझे बहुत प्यारा था, तो बनाके उसे  तेरी निशानी,  हम वही उठा लाये

चाहते थे आँसू बहाना पर वोह भी नहीं किया; कही जमुनजी में, बहाड़ न आ जाये!

क्यूँ छोड़ के यह प्यार भरा संसार, बन बैठा तूं द्वार्काधीश, दुर जाके मुझसे ?

पर मोहन मेरे, इस एक पंख के सहारे, यह तेरी राधिका रह नहीं पाती है दुर तुझसे ।
