Immensely satisfying n ecstatic is the joy of grand parenthood

Exchange this pure joy, this happiness with no one, I would.

Wish  every grand parent,  like me, enjoy this could.

This joy for  the elderly n kids, is soul satisfying emotional food

A  request to parents all;  do give grandparents,  this opportunity good.

A child small, in the family,  is for us,  Ahura's  gift best.

This helps us elderly, to bear the burden of old age; to pass life's test.

Their chattering,  joyful squeals helps our aching bodies to rejuvenate n rest

To a child become once  again,  playing with kids, is by itself, a big fest.

Remember,  grandparents are a part important,  in a family; not merely guests.

Best is this combination for both; please this fact, always remember.

Grandparents provide the love n warmth,  like glowing embers.

Kids from grandparents learn, n strong roots develop; along with pamper(ing)

SET A NEW TREND

Fashion trends many set, but care I don't, to wear torn jeans.
It is sowing virtue in myself; one at a time, just a bean.
Setting such  habits n trends, to improve myself, is what I mean.

Work hard, thoughtfully,   I will; but not in a mad haste.
Electricity n water use I definitely will;  but  never , it waste
Before I fill my plate with food; it I will first taste.

Towards people, specially children n elders, I will be kind
Instead of dividing people, them I will bind.
Telling them not to blindly follow trends; they must use their mind.

To be caring n kind, I will set a trend.
To help the old and the feeble at the. Road's bend.
To help a student poor, with her studies; n to school her send.

Oh the list actually long and eñdless is.
It will add up n always in number increase.
forgot I to mention, that I will certainly grow trees.

Like I would, to educate my maid's child, like a teacher- parent.
A trend setter I am, but of course, a little different;
Setting new trends socially, in my own small way, I meant.

અભિલાષા

કાગ ડોળે રાહ નિહારું છું, આંખો મિચાય એ પહેલાં તને મળવાની છે અભિલાષા

શાંતિ થી, તારી  બાંહોમાં પ્રાણ ત્યાગવાની રાખું છું હું , એક  અંતિમ  આશા.

એ વેળાએ, તારી આંખો થી નિકળતી અશ્રુધારામાં વહી જવાની છે અભિલાષા.

ગંગા જળ જેટલાં પુનિત, પાવન હશે એ અશ્રુ; મૃદુલ પ્રેમ અમી વરસાવતી હોય છે, આંખોની ભાષા.

પ્રીત તો બસ થઈ જાય છે, અણદિઠી ડોર બસ બંધાઇ જાય છે, આંખોની અનોખી છે ભાષા.

પ્રીત માં, આપ લે હોતી નથી, તો પણ જરુર આવજે, રાખું છું હું, તુઝ્કન આં આશા.

बिना नशे भी, छा जाती है खुमारी;
लग जाती हैं यह,  नशीली बीमारी ।

देख लो इसे, समझो इसे, आंखो की जुबानी ;
हमने तो इसे है सुनी, देखी और मानी ।

During our autumn years, on leaves dry we tread.

Worry we tremendously, about the impending fate.
Though know we, for each one of us, fixed is a date.

Vulnerable we become, in this autumn season.
Think our near n dear ones involved will be, in treason.
Worry we, without  facts or any important reason.
Worry we unnecessarily endlessly, whatever be the season.

बस एक झलक पाते ही, आपके ख़यालो में हो गए मशरूफ;

सपनों की दुनिया में खो गए; और यहां से शुरू हुई तकलीफ़

MY SQUITTY

Awww, so tiny you were

Almost bald, with hardly any fur.

Frightened you were, shivering on the ramp

Scared I was, somebody on you would stamp.

Awaited we for your mother to come along

Awaited we till office closure; really long !!

To protect you; home in a cage, I brought you.

Oh you tiny one, you escaped from under the door too.

On an impulse quick I caught you n gone was my fright;

Worried we were, for you, how to things set right.

In a cushioned basket small, we settled you down.

Named you we SQUITTY, and redefining a proper noun

Soon you moved all over the house, all around,

Scared we were,. so away we kept you from the ground

You hid under Mom's pillow and crawlled all over

On my hand you would sit; and around Mum hover

Enjoyed we your holding n  drinking milk from a dropper;

like a baby, holding his milk bottle, comfortable in a romper.

Oh those were such beautiful days, it's memories I cherish.

After you were gone no other pet we kept; your memory we do ravish.

In our hearts, for ever fondly you dwell n lay.

In Heaven protected by angels, may you happily stay.

Live we in a rented home, our body, it we call.

Our soul, into our body, God does stall.

Released our soul is, when our body does fall.

This departure or transition, death, we call.

When our body, our home, so lovingly we nurture;

Why can't look after our soul we; n it's future?

Our soul, a diamond is; our most important n real future.

Decorating body parts is like buying expensive
furniture.

Tenancy rights, try to hold we should never.

Think of ourselves we must as souls divine, not bodies clever.

Know we must that our soul from our body, can anytime sever.

Merge it must with the Almighty, for ever and ever.

છોટીથી ડરીને, મૂકી એક સ્ટૂલ, મેં મારા પાદુકા છે બચાવીયા

નાનકડા આ ટેરરિસ્ટને, એ બહુ છે ભાવીયા; એને અનેક છે ચાવીયા

પણ આ નાનકડા જીવે અમને બ્રાંડી ના ઘેરા ગમથી છે ઉગારિયા.

So pleads a young maiden, to her lover boy.
All she seeks from him are moments of true joy.

"May I request you for a favour, to lessen my strife.

I will thereafter most unwillingly bid you a good bye.
Treasure every moment of this day I will, till I die.
Precious will that day be, when we can sing, dance n play.
Through out my life, cherish I will, this most wonderful day.
Dreamt I have about this day, n for it, yearned since years.

Many lives precious,  from us you have snatched

બસ પહોચે તુઝણે મારી દુઆઑ, તો મને બધું મળી જાશે

પ્રીત થઈ એમા મારો શું વાંક, ઍ તો છે, દિલ નો કસુર

પ્રીત તો કરે છે હર કોઇ; હોય એ  માનવ, દેવતા કે  અસુર.

મારી પ્રીત માંગે નહી હીરા-મોતી, બસ માંગે થોડો પ્યાર.

મળે જો ઍ પ્રીત, તો થાય પાર મારાથી, આં સંસાર.

એક મીઠો ઇકરાર, પ્યાર નો ઇઝહાર કરાવે મને સાગર પાર

આપ મને તારી બાંહો નો સહારો, મળી જશે મને આખો સંસાર.

યાદ

એને વિચાર્યું,
" આજે ફરી મને આવી એની યાદ;

કેટલી કરી યાચના, કેટલા આપ્યા મે એને સાદ;

વિચારું છું શા કારણે કર્યું  મે જીવન બરબાદ!

મન અને દિલે કર્યા અનેક તર્ક, ઘણા વાદવિવાદ;

દિલ શા કારણે હર હમેશા જીત્યું, અને હું હારી, થયો બરબાદ !

આં તે કેવો પ્યાર; ઈચ્છું છું કે એ રહે સદા આબાદ;

ભલે થાઉં હું ઉદાસ જીવન ભર, કે થાઉં બરબાદ.

દિલ થી, અંતર આત્મા થી આવ્યો એક સાદ;

"અરે ગાંડા, તેં તો કર્યો છે પ્યાર, એ વાત ને આપ દાદ;

એને ક્યાં કર્યો છે ઈઝહાર, પછી વરી કેવી ફરિયાદ !"

Deep is the Sea, uneven is the ship.
Scared I am, to turtle and flip.
But lure me those pearls, deep within.
Between fear n faith there is a curtain thin.

Says the mind," beware, the sea is deep".
But my heart, ready is, to take the leap.
The leap of faith; God protect me will;
However difficult may be the path, uphill.

Close, very very close they were.
Spoke everyone about him and her.
Eagerly awaited his letters, steady was the flow.
His loving letters, on her face, brought a glow
Then, busy got they; now the flow was slow.
Then it slowly reached an all time low.
For her throbbing heart, this came as a blow.
She couldn't figure out a reason; she didn't know.
Withering was the tree, lovingly she did sow.
Sad n forlorn she sits; what happened; she doesn't know.
Even today she hopes, resume will the flow.

POWER OF THE PRESS

Power of the press enormous is, normally beyond one's imagination

But used it must be with care utmost,  with proper  discrimination.

Gullible readers,  led should not be towards a wrong thought

Said it  is,  that a poet reaches where the Sun easily cannot

Responsibilities,  therefore are heavy on the shoulders of an editor

Listen he must to his conscience; not stories misleading, churn or stir.

To people mislead is a crime grave; perhaps wealthy make you, it may;

But remember dear editors, your responsibility is to lead people to the right way.

MEN IN UNIFORM

Do feel his exasperation  n pain

Out he is in heat, cold or rain;

Chasing or protecting men, be it on road or a  lane.

An honest man, hardly  can money gain;

Many dedicated,  honest ones are injured, a few slain .

Cooperate,  understand let us,  their  suffering n pain.

This cooperation  should be our intention main.

HEAL

Life is full of  many a precipitous cliff, valley and hill;

Its not easy,  one just can't take a chill pill.

But You lord,  our sorrows please heal.

Though we all know the fact that time is a constant wheel;

At times it is spinning n at times  it seems to stand still;

Lord kind help us in these rough times, to wisely deal.

Many a time, frustrated,  angry,  sad and miserable we feel,

Some, in desperation, even wish to themself ****;

At times such,  pleeeeeeease increase the power of our will.

A prayer small, a plea from us please listen to; help us heal.

RUIN

O man did the Lord create you, to His planet, this Earth ruin ?

Beautiful places lush green, transferred you have into concrete jungles.

Lakes you destroy, rivers, seas, oceans you pollute.

What have you made a paradise like Kashmir into ?

A living hell for beauty n peace- lovers it has now become.

Man, even your own body you disease with bad food, smoke n drugs.

Your tongue sharper than a sword, another's peace destroys.

Your very own mind poison you, with thoughts ugly and harmful.

Why are you out, to this beautiful world, our Earth ruin ?

Lord,

Know this I, and believe it firmly too.

You are always right; nothing wrong You would do.

But questions few, I would like to ask You.

when trees

People very few love or enjoy poetry

It's really not everyone's cup of tea;

Yet if you dive in,  wonderful though deep is the sea.

There are leaves few on this tree,

Yet its fruits are juicy n sweet; which bring glee.

Opens a treasury endless,  once you find the right key.

Hold my hand O Lord, to create poetry beautiful,  help me.

ENTREAT YOU, I DO

Lord, There is too much of violence n havoc in our world;

Why are You sitting n watching this quietly, all curled ?

Please help this miserable, suffering world.

All around, everywhere, people affected, cry and wail;

May peace, tranquility and lots of joy on this Earth prevail.

Entreat I, let ships of peace, prosperity and happiness sail.

Bless us with thoughts, words and deeds good.

So that improve our"karma" immensely would.

And eventually, the results of this show would.
