Their all they gave to our Nation, meaningful n wonderful is their story.

Bow down I, to both these honest people n for India, blessings seek

Also about them and their courageous deeds, to our children we must speak.

Switching off all gadgets immediately after use, we very easily could

Using fuel wisely, planning trips well; save a lot of money, easily would.

Due to water scarcity, women go through trouble plenty; help them we could;

By planting trees, by rain harvest, achieve a lot we could

By canal n artificial lake constructions  possible become, this would.

In our own small way, switch off our gadgets,  lights immediately we should

Repair leaking taps n close all taps promptly after use, we should.

Reusing discarded water from ACs, ROs, washing machines save water could.

Seawater in coastal areas, for flushing toilets, be used easily could

If individual every, diligently does this, plenty of resources save we would.

એ દિવસે અમાવસ ન હતી પણ અચાનક ચાંદ અદ્રશ્ય થઇ ગયો,

અરેરે, એ એકદમ ઘનઘોર વાદળોમાં ન જાણે ક્યાં ખોવાઈ ગયો.

આમ તો અમાવસ એક દિવસ સુધી રહે, પણ મારો ચાંદ તો ખોવાઈજ ગયો

રાત અંધારી, રાહ અણજાણ, સવાર પડશે કે નહીં, એટલું બી બતાવી ન ગયો

એ તો જતાં જતાં, મારું સ્વસ્થ, શાંત જીવન સાઉ અસ્તવ્યસ્ત કરતો ગયો

કહ્યું મને ઘર છોડીને ક્યાંય જતી ના, તો તું, ક્યાં ચાલી ગયો?

અચાનક, અમાસ વગર, મારો ચાંદ ઘનઘોર ઘટાઓ માં ખોવાઈ ગયો

Each time, traveled we on return tickets, this time decided you, to travel alone, one way;

To some destination unknown, you wanted to travel alone and there stay.

I had been to Air India, where I had to submit your certificate; it was a painful day

Every one remembered and missed you; n I couldn't keep my tears at bay

Know we all, life temporary is n destroyed is this body of clay;

Why then is it so very difficult to accept this fact that someday, to rest we all lay.

Your journey on your one-way ticket complete is, whilst I, my turn await, waiting for that day.

Small differences, selfishness n ego, our joint family destroyed.
This family joint, was our strength real, our value that our parents enjoyed.

Marriages mixed, our Parsipanu destroyed, and our religion endangered is.
Today, threatened is our very existence, chances have decrease(d).
False believes, that I am my own master;
The yearning to prosper individually, caused has, this disaster.

And all this, done is, under the pretext of modern becoming.

શા કાજ મારી નજર શોધે છે તને; શા માટે ચાહે છે એ તારી ઉપસ્થિતિ, માંગે છે એ તારો સંગાથ ?

હસતા, ગાતા, ઝઘડતા, એક બીજાને લડતા; શુ તને યાદ આવતી નથી એ બધી વાત ?

Jealousy, ego, suspicion, hatred,  within us is often bottled up n by us grown

Joy ours was short-lived, as soon after, our Gandhiji was shot;

Chaos and confusion ruled; and we our character lost slowly but certainly

Hope things for the better change; strengthen our National spirit n character

Fuzzy Darling,

When daughters are small, you give them your all

Each moment of the day, you are always at their beck n call

Or running behind, to them protect from harm or a fall

They are those cute lil toys, your very own, walkie talkie dolls

Who in our lives a purpose, joy n enthusiasm infuse n
install;

But in the blink of an eye, they grow up, to become pretty, slim n tall

Sometimes during their teens, due to a problem, they may create a wall

But work parents must immediately, to see it crumble n fall.

Once big, daughters study n some even reach the hall (of fame)

Daughters with their parents a solid unbreakable bond install.

Lucky are parents, who daughters have; they  love their parents n them enthrall

as age catches up,
in our sunset years, they look after us n on us call.

FRUSTRATION

Decided I have, now onwards, at peace n to happy remain

Even at the cost of remaining ignorant and sometimes, a wee bit insane.

Politics n news dishearten one's heart n mind, away from these I will remain

Negativity, fights, ego clashes, jealousy, misunderstandings are causes main.

Everything disturbs me pollution, environment, draught or too much rain;

Rapes, injustice, chopping trees, accidents be they on  road, in air or train.

Leaking taps, wastage of water, withering plants get me down, it does pain;

Now I decided have to say, "Lord it is Your wish, I won't my happiness drain".

Thought I, my writings n  practices would things for the better change; but in wane

People do not wish to accept good; so now I won't hurt my heart n brain.

A healthy concoction to live; is a balance between our body and mind.

Of course physical, emotional, mental all together, combined.

A dash of prayer with Humata, Hukt, Huvareshta will us beautifully bind.

But today, let us a healthy concoction of our very own tea make

With ginger, clove, lemongrass, mint, light black tea make; then some lemon take;

With a spoonful of juice, add honey Beelicious, not the ones artificial or fake.

Concoction this, our immunity strengthen will, so covid we can fight

In the beautiful blue skies I used to independently fly;

For me to travel all around; limitless was the sky.

Then suddenly, into a cage I was put in, by a wicked man.

You humans, this dastardly act, must immediately ban.

To make money quick, he clipped off my beautiful wings

Then proudly showed me around n says hear how she sings.

Oh man, I ask you, how would feel you, if put in a jail

I am sure you would put up a fight or painfully cry and wail.

Imprison us do not, just for a quick buck; instead us protect.

Trees are our homes, do not them chop; keep them intact.

Let us with joy soar in the open skies n on trees nest.

Our creator has made us for the skies, n He undoubtedly is the best.

Be it Teacher's Day or Guru Purnima, accept my salutations please

Day by day, as older I get, my respect for seers, only does increase

For you all are that huge tree, that gives us shade n cold refreshing breeze.

Every parent and all our teachers, us initially teach n painstakingly mould.

If need be, for our own good, they may, us gently correct or even scold.

As parents n grandparents, our responsibility increases ten fold.

So let us into them all good things instill, n a good character build.

First of all, they have to good humans be, whatever may be their work-field.

Parents, grandparents teachers, Gurus it is we, who have their fate  sealed.

We build must a Nation, with values very high, and a character very strong.

It is our divine duty, that they don't go astray; not to let things slip or go wrong.

मौत धीरे धीरे पास आ रही थी, मानो जान हाथोंसे छूट रही थी

प्रकृति ने हस कर कहा, यही उसकी रीत, एकदम सही थी;

भला, नदी कब सगरसे निकालके  पहाड़ की तरफ बही थी !

प्रकृतिने कभी भी, युगोसे, ऐसी कहानी कही नहीं थी ;

बचपन गया, जवानी ढली, वृद्धावस्थामे जान हाथोंसे छूट रही थी;

मानो, बुढापा कह रहा हो, रेत हाथोंसे फिसलती नज़र आ रही थी ।

यही है प्रकृति का नियम, यही जीवनकी रीत, सही थी।

अब तो दिख रहा है, मौत पास आ रही थी, और जान दूर जा रही थी।

ઓ તાપી,

કિનારે તારે, હતું મારુ અતિ સુંદર Cooper Mansion;

જ્યાં ખુલ્લી ચોખી હવા, મસ્તીથી લહેરાતી હતી.

જ્યાં તારી ઉપરથી વહેતો ઠંડો પવન, મન મસ્તીશકને આપતો શાંતિ

અહીં, સદા મારા રેડિયોગ્રામમાં થી, સુંદર સુર રેલાતા હતા

સાથે મોગરાનો પમરાટ, ખુશનુમાથી મનને કરતો હતો ખુશીયોથી તર

હતું એ મારું ઘર, એક પ્રેમ મંદિર, સુહામનું, પ્યારું મનઝર

તારે કિનારે, મારા વરંડામાં બેસી, ગાયાં મેં, હઝારો સુરીલા ગીત;

વિસરી શકું કેમ એ સોહામણો સમય, તારું અને ઘરનું સ્મરણ વસે છે જીગરમાં મારા હરદમ.

Spenta Armaiti bless us, your children, egoistic n arrogant

Agree I, some are basically good, but perhaps ignorant

Whatever be the reason, poor Mother Earth has to bear the brunt.

Geush Urvan has to suffer this arrogance, ego and ignorance

O Aspandamard Ameshaspand, come please to our help, at once.

Once again, bless n purify this devastated Earth; blessing Her with abundance.

Your land is excavated, exploited by us n your waters we badly pollute

This human race, with its motives mean n selfish, just wants to resources loot

Bless us on this day auspicious; with wisdom profound n absolute.

JOURNEY

A journey unknown, is this life; please keep me prepared for the strife

Walk one has to blindfolded, on the edge of a sharp sword or knife

Each step, each moment, everyday, always, there is a lesson new

Scares me always the unknown, but help me with the initial steps few.

Unpleasant things, situations, people, cross often our life's path

Help me O Ahura to face these gratefully; like cleansing after a bath.

This journey I know, very rough n tough is, help me to take it in my stride.

Through this journey, may I always with the rules of Humata, Hukt, Huvareshta abide.

AWAKEN OUR RAVAANS

Eyes these, refuse to see facts; weak n poor is our sight.

Ears these, listen do not to the warning, crystal clear n right.

Tongue this, ever-ready is, to venom spill, argue n fight.

O Ahura  Mazda, upon us silly lot, infuse true religious insight.

Help us to see the truth, flash a torch, throw Your divine light.

Help us, o help us please, to see things clear and bright.

The community in doldrums is; n ego gained has, great height.

You, O Mazda Ahura, with your flames bright, show us the path right.

Awaken our "Ravaans", O Ahura- Mazda, with your divine light.

Our Behaviour

Oh Ahura !!!
what's drastically wrong with us ??? Instead of appreciating, we criticize

Instead of seeing the beauty of someone's thoughts, we see the pocket's size

Someone's rise, their achievements, happiness, in us jealousy arises

With such a mindset weak and low, how do you ever expect to Heaven rise???

Try n rise higher than your ownself; try to increase your own abilities; watch then, how you rise.

O Armaiti divine, in Your safe hands, You, this world lovingly hold.

Protecting us from all extremes, be it torrential rain, heat or bitter cold.

Please listen to my prayers, and plea; my hands, unto You, I reverently fold

Know I, mankind has become callous, selfish, jealous, most cruel n cold;

displayed this is, very obviously in their attitude brazen, so bold.

Generously give us You, water, food, crude oil, iron, minerals, metals other like gold.

Ungrateful we are to  You, our conscience is Dead; to the satan, it we have sold.

Several times through Your actions mild or wild, this to us, You have told;

Even with Your actions, You punish us severely or sometimes gently scold.

Forgive us, n on this day auspicious, I beg You, to now keep us lovingly, in Your fold.

OVERCOME

These days, often feel I, tired, weary and actually weak

Sometimes my heart aches and many times my bones creak.

Irritability, impatience get the better of me these days

To skip activities routine, find I excuses, means n ways

Know I well, old I am becoming, slowly but surely

But O Ahura, help me to these overcome; I know You will surely;

Help me please, to all these difficulties in my stride take

Grow old gracefully let me; n away keep things artificial or fake.

Help me to overcome these ageing problems; grant me good health.

The interest rates decreasing are, n prices escalating; grant me wealth.

ઈમાન

પૈસાથી થઇ જાય છે ભલ ભલાનું ઈમાન ડામાડોળ

બદલી નાખે લોકો પોતાના જ બોલેલા બોલ

બદલાઈ જાય છે લોકો, પહેરી લઈ એક વરુની ખોળ.

અને પોતાનું કારનામું છુપાવવા ખોલે છે એક બીજાની પોલ

ઇમાનદારીનું, સચ્ચાંઈનું, ઓછું થઈ રહ્યું છે આજે જગમાં મોલ

ઓ ખુદા, ધરા આખી ભરાઈ ગઈ છે પાપથી; તું કંઈક તો બોલ

કર મોજેજો એવો કે અમે થઈએ સદગુણી, પાળીએ તારો પડ્યો બોલ.

Can someone answer her please.....

A Girl child's question..  WHERE DO I BELONG?

Fathers, temporarily their daughters keep ; they really to their husbands home belong.

A second-citizen she is, who with her family of birth, won't be staying too long.

But alas it is she who dearly loves them, having emotional attachments strong.

Strangely after marriage, husbands call her paternal home as her home.

Making sure, claims she does not any rights, on his home.

Confused totally now she is, where does she belong ; which is her real home.

After years many of toil, thinks she, she has now settled in her own abode
When suddenly daughters in law, and her own sons her wounds erode ;

They wish to leave her in a home for the aged ; may be  not really on the road!!!

BREED RIGHT

Instead of breeding children, into them, hatred we breed

Instead of unity n integrity, of discord sow we, many a seed

Imagine, seriously think, where will all this, us n them lead (to)

Instead of following the footsteps of ancestors, who fire with respect did feed

We into gen next, bad examples set, isn't this shameful indeed!

Every Parsi, rich n poor, unite should; because useless is a single bead

Form let us, a STRING of PEARLS, n towards prosperity, our children lead.

START WINDING UP

Time to return home, said the little voice within, start winding up.

Oh thought I, why am I so late ! stop I must the overflowing cup

So there we go ! said I, to myself, "let's seriously start winding up".

But easy it wasn't; I loved all the things that came popping up!

Which ones do I get rid of? Oh ! felt I now, like a silly puzzled pup.

This is from my college days, n this one, on a trip, I had picked up.

Ah !  and this one, my wonderful, honeymoon memories brings up

Decided I to hang on for a while; I just now can't anything easily give up

It suddenly felt silly, that all life, collected I articles cute, only to wind up !

Then I requested my little voice, let me happy be, I need to cheer up !

Why worry now; when I die, all this I will automatically n most willingly give up

So now, for the moment, postponed I have, to things wind up;

Live I will, a life full of memories fond n good; enjoy it all; n not wind up.

Ready I am for departure any minute, need there is not, at this moment, to wind up.

People don't normally care about who you actually are

They check how useful in their lives, to them, you are

To people most, your money, chair and position matter;

If useful to them you are, invitations to you, they scatter.

In your good books to be, try they will, their very best;

Putting you upon a pedestal high, up on a high crest.

Once their job is done, away they move from you; far away

It is entirely commercial; motive based, how long in their life, you stay.

Often after retirement, useless you are to them; merely garbage;

Insult you they may, or sarcastic be; or even show their outrage.

Outcasted you are, or royally ignored; this may hurt you no end

Remember dear readers, you will such  people meet, at every bend.

મારી મા નું આંચલ

કેવી મીઠી નીંદર આવતી હતી મને, ઓ મા, તારા ખોળે, તારા આંચલમાં

દુનિયાની મને કોઈ પરવાહ કે ફિકર ન હતી, તારા પ્રેમાળ આંચલમાં

તારો સુરીલો કંઠ સુવડાવતો હતો મને, ગાયી લોરી, મીઠી મમતા હતી એ કંઠમાં

મારુ નામ પુકારતી, ત્યારે ટહુકો હતો કોયલ જેવો મીઠો, તારા સુરીલા કંઠમાં

ખવડાવતી પ્રેમથી, તારા હાથનો સ્વાદ હજી હું વાગોલું છું મનમાં મારા

હૂંફ હતી તારા હાથની બેશુમાર; દિવસ રાત આર્શીવાદ આપતા એ, માથે મારા

આંચલ તારું, લાગે વહાલું મને, પ્રેમથી ભરપૂર, તારો સુવાસ છુપાયો છે એમાં

ઘરની હર નાની મોટી ચીજ યાદ અપાવે તારી, જાણે વસી હોય તું એમાં.

Of no one's misery, be ever I should, a cause.

May I, about this deeply think, taking a pause.

Lord kind, happiness unto others, through me spread.

At least an infectious smile I can give, if I offer cannot bread.

Remember this fact I must all the time, all the way;

That a deed good, with both receiver n doer always does stay.

If cause I misery to another, I too won't be able to keep it at bay.

Sometimes, somewhere I will, it's consequences have to pay.

My actions good, tiny can be, but positive they must stay.

Pain someone's lessen must; each word, that I say.

Grant unto me a boon,o Ahura, soothing should be every word, I say.

As per Karma, help me, to the universe, to my debt repay.
