EASY WAY OUT

Indeed easy it is, for us, to take the easy way out;

Right it is not, to take this easy route; don't you ever this doubt.

Easy it is to slip down in these times bad, specially during a crisis

Even more so, in today's world, filled with so many ugly vices.

Where many flourish, even when they evil & the devil follow

When justice doesn't prevail; & injustice with salt we have to swallow;

Slip then people down; because easy it is, to that easy way take.

O Ahura, hellp us to the correct path take & our way to Heaven make.

Our India has roads and railways for miles n miles

Through grasslands, plateus, river banks, mountains n isles

Seeds if we plant; n trees grow to avenues form, on roads all main.

If corporates all, big and small, trees do plant n maintain;

An orchard huge, our country can become; hunger surely vanish will.

Then, miles of boulevards n avenues have we can; fruits will all over spill.

Railway lines for miles, can local trees grow, curry leaves, figs, drumsticks, sugar cane.

School children n unemployed youth can them water, to some incentives gain.

Corporates all, Tata, Godrej, Wadia can advertise their name, under "maintained by"

Imagine luscious mangoes, chickoos, guavas, oranges; needn't we then buy

Flowers, fruits, vegetables export we can; also wood we can,  have in ample

Can some corporate come forward, select an area; & at least lay out a sample.

Imagine this beautiful Motherland of ours; loaded with fruit laden trees;

I am a dreamer, but if turns this to reality; we can have oxygen, food, shade n cool breeze.

રિમઝીમ રિમઝીમ પડતી ફુહાર, તન-મનમાં આગ લગાડે, તરસાવે છે મને સાવન

કોયલના મધુર ગીત, એની કૂક, હૃદય માં મારા, જગાડે એક મીઠી હુક

માનો કહેતી હોય, ઝૂલો ઝૂલવા આવ જલ્દી, બીજું બધું, તું પડતું મુક

પ્રીતમ મારો આવતો નથી, તરસી ગયાં છે નૈન, બની ગયું છે આજે પાછું દિલ બેચેન.

સોહામણી આં ઋતુમાં, આં મસ્ત માહોલમાં , કોઈ ચોરી ગયું મારું ચૈન.

પિયા વિના , એના વિયોગમાં વરસે છે વર્ષા સંગ, આં આંખોથી આંસુ

તારા વિના ન સુર સૂઝે, ન રાગ; બોલ પ્રીતમ આપણે સાવનમાં કેમ ગાશું

આવી જા, આમ ન તરસાવ મને, કહે રાધિકા કાનાહને, ઓ પ્રીતમ પ્યારા,

આવીજા વૃંદાવન પાછો, યાદ કર ગ્વાલ-ગોપીઓને, યાદ કર એ પનઘટ, ઓ કાન્હાઈ મારા.

આ હા હા, આવી છે વસંત, લાવી છે સાથે, ફૂલોથી લદાયલા ઝાડપાન

માનો, મુરઝાઈ ગયેલી વડ વેલીઓ માં પુરાઈ ગયો હોય નવો પ્રાણ.

સૂર્ય પ્રકાશમાન છે, અને નીલ ગગન ચમકે છે; સ્વચ્છ છે આસમાન

હવામાં ખુશનુમા ફેલાઈ છે, ફૂલોની મહેક છે, પંખીઓ ની ચહેકમાં છે ગીત-ગાન

કળી ફૂલ બનવા તત્પર છે, કમળ માં આવશે ચાંદના ખીલવા સાથે જ જાન

ચાંદના મોહમાં, તત્પર છે ચકોર ખુશી ખુશી ન્યોછાવર કરવા પોતાના પ્રાણ.

વસંત લાવે દિલોમાં ખુશાલી ની હિલોલ; ચાલો કરીયે એનું સ્વાગત, સન્માન.

That day, three hundred and twenty nine precious, hopeful, innocent lives we lost

Passengers and crew all; an aircraft entire; unaccountable, was the cost

O Ahura bless those souls and their families to this irreparable loss bear.

Even today, sad I feel when visualize I, those crying relatives; their hope mixed with that scare.

What a drastic, horrible result it was, due to some people who were grossly mislead.

Happens this often, when illogical, lies, fear and hatred to weak minded people is fed.

Those who do these crimes heinous, prepared must be, for consequences dire

Burn have to in hell, all those people who misuse and play with ammunition and fire.

The theory of KARMA,  understand must, these misled individuals; use they must their mind.

Aware must be all those leaders, who inculcate such crimes n vulnerable poor find.

Ahura, bless every individual with Beh-man, the good mind, so all things, we do right.

Help the misled ones with a good, kind, compassionate mind, with Your divine light.

They help to soothe n heal, many a contused or festering scar.

The effects of love are immeasurable, there is no boundary or bar

Vibrations of love travel far n wide, faster than an aircraft or car.

For good things make us feel positive n happy, whereas bad things make us sad.

Keep us away from company bad or people who are depressed and sad.

How very commercial has become this world, changed have roles

Advertisement for foods are preferred over food for our souls

The community has lost its values high, its real "aatash", its fire

And sadly Bawal is preferred over Sandal wood for Padshah's fire

Lower values when n if promoted over higher ones, worries cause.

Please think about this; before you go ahead, please do pause.

Feed the fire of thought, let us; the holy Padshahs, some Sandal need

We should not, all the time, them, only " kathi" (bawal) feed.

Food to grow is necessary, but important is also, food for our brain n heart

Let us promote our higher selves, feeding the values high, of our curriculum should be a part.

A lot depends on our nature, our behaviour.

At this moment forget about projects big, just do your bit.

Plant seeds, grow trees; so that in their shade you can sit.

Fresh water preserve each one must; try n practise rain harvest

Building lakes artificial to collect water, would be an act wise; the best.

Leaking taps need to be fixed; do close them immediately after use

Water from RO, A/C plants, washed vegetables n grains, pl. reuse.

Also see we must that water from irrigation canals, reaches every field.

If we all do our bit, Nature help us will, to reserves build.

પછી તો બની ગયા આપણે પાક્કા અંગ્રેજ, અપનાવી એ નવી ભાષા

ભલે અપનાવી, પણ શા માટે ત્યાગવી જોઈએ આપરે આપરી ગુજરાતી ભાષા ?

માતૃભાષા જોડી રાખે છે આપણને, આપના  પોતાના જડો સાથે

માતૃભાષા જોડી રાખે છે આપણને, આપણા સંસ્કારો સાથે

માતૃભાષા ની એક ખુમારી છે, જે સદા ચાલે છે આપણી
સાથે

કાશ આં વૃત્તિ બદલી શકાય, તો જીવનમાં પાછો આવી શકે પ્યાર

પાછા આવે સુખ, શાંતિ; લાગે જીવન, એક મહેકતો ફૂલોનો હાર

યા ખુદા,

વર્ષોથી મીઠી નીંદર આવી નથી, આજે મારે માટે, તું હાલરડું ગા એક

ઊંઘ એ સૌની જરૂરત છે, તડફદૂ છું રોજ રાતે; કોરી જાય છે રાતો અનેક

જ્યારે સૂતી હતી ચાદર તાણી, પળભર માં આવી જતી હતી નીંદ ઊંડી, ગહેરી

ત્યારે કુંભકરણ કહેતા લોક મને લાડથી; સ્વભાવ હતો મારો મસ્ત, લહેરી.

આજે તો તું આવી, હાલરડું ગા, તો આવે ફરી એકવાર નીંદર મીઠી, મધ જેવી;

હવે તો હું સાચેજ ભૂલવા લાગી છું,  ગહેરી નીંદ હોય છે કેવી

એકવાર ફરી,  મધ મીઠું હાલરડું સાંભળી, ભર ઊંઘે, ઘસઘસાટ સુવું છે મને

When did I last laugh heartily ?

I don't really remember, he thought to himself.

It's been a while, "I must make an attempt to do so".

So out he went, to find a reason to laugh at.

Searched he ardently, but he felt sad n  like crying;

Saw he trouble, poverty, helplessness, all around.

Came back he, thinking, what is the purpose of life ?

But even after contemplation, found he, no answer.

Now bothered he wasn't to laugh; he wanted to, this reason seek.

So again he went; saw he pain n suffering again .

Said he, "God, I know you won't share Your secrets;  but please keep me sane".

Your divine intervention, Your mercy we seek O Lord;

Living like this we humans can no longer afford.

With covid n storms, in trouble deep is the entire race

In Your loving and caring hands, we rest our case.

Forgive us, help us to recover, n on our feet stand.

Lord kind, seek we Your support, Your helping hand.

Our ego You crushed, the world is again at Your feet.

Today we see humans crying in pain; their chest they beat.

When suffer we an awful physical or emoticonal blow,

When we are at an ebb in life, feeling sad, depressed and low;

આમ તો હતી તું નાજુક, નમણી પણ છાંયડો આપતી વડલાનો

हर मानव, डर के जी रहा है; न जाने कब आये उसको या उसके अपनोको मोत

डॉक्टर, नर्स, वार्ड बॉय की जान को रहता है सतत मोत का खतरा, फैली है एक दहशत

न जाने कब आ जाये मोत का फरिश्ता, लगाने उन्हें गले; यह मौतके खेलमे, होती है चित्त या पट

ऐ मालिक मेरे, याचना करू मैं तुझसे, यह दुनियां है तेरी, अब तू ही उसे बचा सकता है

A DANCING SPRING

Jumping like a spring, was this spring, n around it, created it, a permanent spring, green.

This little dancing brook, made the atmosphere around it, magical n yet so serene

Created it a musical spell, with sounds of rolling pebbles n its water so cool, clear n clean

What a wonderful way to relax here it is; no need there was, for any tannin or caffeine.

Those cold water droplets spraying on my face; staying here, happiness I glean

With its splashing water, soaking wet were my clothes, my T-shirt n my jeans

Learnt I from this little dancing spring, inspite of a life rough, how to joy n freshness glean.

અહીં, સદા શાંતિ, ખુશાલી, પ્રગતિ, આબાદી બની રહે

જ્યાં તાપી, નર્મદા, સાબરમતી, માહી જેવી નદીઓ વહે

જ્યાં ઇરાનશાહ, દ્વારકાધીશ, શિવજી, મહાવીર, સ્વામિનારાયણ વસે

ગાંધીજીનું ગુજરાત, વલ્લભભાઈનું પણ; નમુ અહીં આવતા, મલક મલક હસે.

Oh my heart,

EASTER

Celebrates Easter, all around, the entire Christian world, on this auspicious day.

Kiddos enjoy the Easter baskets, eggs n Bunnies , in every corner curled, happy n gay!!!

For us it is a very very special day, it's memory with us will always, forever stay.

An icy cold day at Niagara Falls it was, in 1984; when we couldn't keep the cold at bay;

I impulsively requested a lift and met Leena and Grandma on this very special day.

Took us she around the falls, almost into Canada n to Grandma see, on the way.

Dropping us at our motel, after a sumptuous Italian meal, at a posh restaurant, she went away;  

Only to surprise us with a big Easter Bunny n basket, n gifts many; as in our room we lay.

At the desk, cancelled she the taxi booked; n back came early morning,  bright n gay

She first home drove us and with gifts umpteen loaded us; Santa on an Easter Monday !!!

At Buffalo airport, dropped us she when; overwhelmed we were and didn't even know, what to say

We thought never would we meet them ; never would we be able to come back, to see them some day !!!

But a relationship strong grew, letters n gifts lovingly exchanged we; visited them we did, one day.

Lovingly, a good morning n night I wish her, every morning n night, even today;

May in Heaven happy they remain; our dearest Grandma, Leena n Arlene I pray.

MY WAR HERO

A man of courage and wit, forthright, fearless, indeed very brave

Tackle n handle easily he could, situations important n very grave.

His subordinates many, adored him; because, to pressure he did not cave

This Hero, towards the road to victory against Pakistan, India did pave

A soldier to the core, to fight Her enemies, was always at the fore

Undaunted he stood upright even when politicians tried to settle a score

Their shameful behavior he tolerated; for he was a soldier to the core.

When APJ visited him at the hospital, and helped solve the salary dispute

Sam regretted, he couldn't, the President of India salute

Charmed he many, including APJ, with his  behavior peculiar n  astute

માઁ, ભરાઈ જાય છે હૈયુ મારુ, આવે છે જ્યારે તારી યાદ;

જેમ બેબી બોલાવતી તું મને, તેવો જ પાછો, આપને એ સાદ.

એટલી જલદી તને બોલાવી લેવાની, રહેશે અહુરા સામે ફરિયાદ.

પણ પ્રેમ માત પિતાનો લખલૂંટ પામવા માટે, આપું છું હું, અહુરા ને દાદ

કદી ન તેં ધમકાવી હતી, શાંતિથી સમજાવતી હતી, એ છે યાદ

નિખાલસ પ્રેમ આપવા માટે માનુ છું હું તારો ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર

ડેડ અને તેં આપીયો હતો હર ચીજ માં અમને, બેહદ સહારો અને આધાર

આજે ત્રીસ વર્ષ વીતી ગયાં, તારા વિયોગમાં, છતાં વહે છે, અશ્રુ ની ધાર

જ્યારે અશ્રુ ભરી આંખોથી તને આપી હતી વિદાય, વેદના થઈ હતી અપાર

યાદ છે એ દિવસ, જ્યારે  ડેડ એ કહ્યું હતું, "આજથી હું તમારો ડેડ અને મૌમ, તમારો આધાર."

દુઆ માંગુ છું હાથ ઉઠાવી, રાખે તમને બંન્નેને દાદાર એમની બાંહોમાં સદા.

અદેખાઈ ની આગ જ્યારે લાગે, ભસ્મીભૂત થઇ જાય વન લીલું; બચે નહીં એક બી વૃક્ષ ઘટાદાર

જંગલની આગ અને અદેખાઈ ની આગ બન્ને હોય ભયાનક ; અદેખું માનવ સ્વીકારતું નથી હાર.

અદેખાઈ ની આગ, એક પૂરો સાગર બી ન બુઝવી શકે; આં આગ ઘડી ભરમાં લઈ લે છે એક ભીષણ આકાર

પળ ભરમાં સળગી જાય છે, રાખ થઇ જાય છે, હસતો રમતો સુખી સંસાર.

અદેખાઈ ની આગ છે આંધળી, કરે નષ્ટ એ પોતાને, પોતાનાને અને પારકાને; જોય ન એ, આર કે પાર

અદેખું માનવ, ખોઈ બેસે વિવેક બુદ્ધિ, ; બીજાને આપે છે પીડા અસહય અને અપાર

અને જો અદેખાઈ ની સાથે મળે વહેમ, તો તો ફના થઈ જાય કોઈ નિર્દોષ નો સંસાર

યાદ રાખવું જોઈએ હર માનવે , હર પળ, નોતરે નહીં એ વિનાશ; હોય એ નર કે નાર.

નહીં તો આં આગ નોતરે છે સત્યાનાશ, મચાવે છે જીવનમાં હાહાકાર

Labour of my love, a precious pearl is every poem that I write,

Some poems happy may be, some sad, some pensive, some actually light

Eternal love, eternally famous lovers, or on a romantic moonlight

On environment, Nature, on topics social or  on women's plight

Also on soldiers, Armed forces, martyers n leaders of might

Parents, grandparents, relatives, friends who make my life happy n bright

Imagination wild that takes me on a lengthy , uninterrupted flight

Even the excruciating pain, the patient sometimes doesn't mind.

A doctor's treatment, effective is, when with physical therapy, emotional is combined

Also in this team work, when the patient's relative, d doc includes n binds.

Ketanbhai, indeed lucky is the patient, if a doctor like you, he finds.

Fondly remember I will, you celebrating my Zoi's 10th b'day; when the clock backward winds.

When a woman, is physically beaten or abused, she really  feels let down. 


Harsh words wound her heart n soul beyond repair; that's when she really feels let down. 


When her own, ignore or ridicule her, feels she very hurt; she really feels let down. 


When her intelligence,  skill, capability are ignored becauseofgender; she really feels let down. 


When male siblings are given undue importance, just becauseofgender; she really feels let down. 


After being a loving caring daughter n sister,  when there is discrimination; she really feels let down. 


When her husband,  on whom she emotionally depends,  doesn't support her, she really feels let down. 


When her own kids are rude with her or ignore her; she really feels let down. 


PLEASE LOVE YOUR MOTHER, DAUGHTERS, SISTERS, WIFE, AUNTS; DON'T EVER LET THEM DOWN.

Tiny, cute, petite,  a fair beauty with  curly hair she was;


Simple, unassuming,  self-sacrificing,  a "karma Yogi" she was. 


Honest, dedicated, loving and caring,  she was. 


A sincere teacher,  extremely knowledgeable she was. 


Almost a mother to her  Grandma,  Mum, niece n nephew she was;


Later on my  darling mother, friend, philosopher n guide she was. 


If every mother is  sweet; to me, sheer nectar she was.


An epitome of love,  A "DEVI", AN ANGEL, she was. 


Mum, When it's time to reunite,  PLEASE COME,  TO ME  RECEIVE

Wondered I always,  how did you such inhumanly hectic schedules manage!


Your dedication, your  expertise, grit, were uncopararable, beyond my imagination !


Hardly ever could you,  a family function attend or go for a  movie or for a  vacation. 


Endlessly you worked, long hours, deliveries,  surgeries, OPDs, lectures,  conferences !


Patients came from far and wide, with  notes from  their Docs. or with references .


Grabbing a meal in your car, when being driven from hospital one, to another


In spite of all that pressure, your confident, dimpled smile was an aspect other.


A book I could write, if I, details mention about you n your work, that would be, my real wealth. 


But I end, with loads of love, warm hugs and all good wishes, specially good health.

ઘડપણ

ઘડપણ સિખવે છે માનવને, ઘણું બધું, જે સિખવતિ નથી એને જવાની;

કારણ, જવાની તો હોય છે તોફાની, મસ્તાની અને સાચું કહું તો, થોડી  દિવાનિ

આં ઘડપણની પીડા, કમજોરી, બેબસિ, તે અને  મે, ઘરડી  થઈને જ જાણી .

ઘડપણમાં, નાતવાન હાલતમાં લાગે છે આધિનતાનો, એક ભયાનક આભાસ

બે-ચાર ડગલાં ભરીએ, ત્યાં તો વધી જાય છે હૃદયના ધપકારા, ચઢી જાય છે શ્વાશ

કમજોર તન, કમજોર મનની સાથે ડગમગી જાય છે ઘણું બધું, ખાસ કરી, આત્મવિશ્વાસ.

ક્ષિન થઈ જાય છે જીવન ડોરી, માનવ થઈ જાય છે નિર્બળ, છોડી દે છે આશાની ડોર

આં ઘડપણ વીતે શાંતિથી , પ્રેમથી, રહે સ્વાસ્થ્ય બરકરાર, ઘટી જાય નહિ બધુ તન મન નું જોર

છોકરાઓ આપે પ્રેમ અને આદર, રાખે કાળજી, બસ નાચતો રહે મન-મોર.

THANK YOU O MAZDA

Wish I do not, to eat delicacies, on a gold or  silver platter;

It will perhaps make me egoistic,  proud or at least, make me fatter

Thank you I most sincerely  O Mazda,  for the rice, dough n batter.

Happy I am indeed with the goodies granted, n of course my bread, jam n butter.

Foodies we are, n granted us You have aplenty; nothing there  is to  complaine or mutter.

A sincere request I make to people like me; waste food do not, let it not go into a gutter.

Food, water n clean air, O Ahura, are Your precious gifts unto us mankind

Eat, enjoy and a little share we must, with others; this always must be on our mind.

Learn we  must, to inculcate n incorporate Your attributes; n to be grateful n kind.

A wee bit of effort on our part can save a lot of water n food,  which we willingly must.

Wish I could afford to refrigerators install, where people, the extra food could deposit;

May I kindly request RESTAURANT n HOTEL OWNERS to help out n do their bit.

The needy could use it, to their hunger eliminate; fill up their burning empty pit.

ભુખ

હોય છે માનવીને જાત જાત, અને  ભાત ભાતની ભુખ; ઘણી વિશેષ અથવા વિચિત્ર પણ હોય છે અમુક

હર એક પ્રાણીને હોય છે કોઇ નેે  કોઇ ભુખ; સૌથી વધુ જોવા મળે  છે, પેટનો ખાડો પૂરવાની ભુખ

પણ અમુક લોકોને હોય છે ઠૂસી ઠૂસી ને ખાવાની ટેવ, થોડાથી પેટ ભરાય નહિ, જોઇએ અસંખ્ય બુક.

દૌલતની ભુખને લીધે તો લડી પડે છે ભાઈ બહેન, બંધુ-સખા; બદલાઇ જાય છે સંબંધો, એવી હોય છે ઝેરિલિ એ ફુંક.

શૌરતની બી  હોય છે ભુખ ઘણાને , બનવું છે કોઇ ને જગમાં ઉત્તમ અને શ્રેષ્ઠ; બીજાને કહેવું છે, " તું મારી સામે ઝુક "

કોઇ પ્રેમીઓ ને છે પ્રેમ ની ભુખ પ્યાસ, પ્રીતમના  પ્યાર ની હૂંક, લાગે એમને મીઠી, જાને કોયલની હોય એ  કુંક

સૌથી હાનિકારક છે સત્તાની, ખૂરશીની ભુખ, આં પ્રાપ્ત કરવા  માસુમોના લોહી રેડાવે છે લોકો અમુક.

કોઇ એક વિરલા ને લાગે છે ભક્તિની ભુખ, પ્રભુ પ્રેમમાં પાગલ થઈ, મલિયું હતું કબીરજી,   મીરાબાઇ ને એ સુખ.

હે નાથ, મનમાં મારા સદૈવ ઉઠતી રહે હરિ નામની લહેર, માંગુ છું શાંતિ અને આત્માનુ સુખ

O YE RICHIE RICH, ALL  MINISTERS,  MP, MLA, BEAUROCRATS, BUSINESS TYCOONS, BUILDERS, TO EVER CITIZEN RICH OR POOR.....

A humble request to every wealthy citizen I make; pl share with our INDIA, a little wealth n a few hours.

Here is a very very sincere appeal to use at least 10pc of your wealth for this country of ours

Neglect this please do not,  put this will, our INDIA at the top, grow if we fruits, veggies n flowers;

You have more than you can ever hold; be a donor and  lovingly open your  treasury door

Not a soul then hungry or thirsty will go, definitely bless you they will, from the core.

If you Heaven wish to  attain, you will necessarily have to open a good deed store

God has given you aplenty,  share for this country of ours,10 percent if not twenty.

Advertise you can your products, as you in rows three, plant fruit n veg. trees plenty.

Give back to the Nation we must all, in way some; you can easily when you have wealth aplenty.

Local, easily growing  fruit, vegetable and flower trees if we have on every Indian road;

Bananas, coconut,  guava,  chickoo trees, with that you put up you can your advertisment board;

Drumsticks, jackfruit, mangoes, curry leaves even the poorest of poor, then will be able to afford.

A green INDIA, a Rich YOU, satisfied citizens, it will be a dream come true!

Elders weak, nor will a hungry child for food will have to ever crave or about food rue

Let the rich n the "not so rich" join in for physical manual work, as an assisting crew.

MAY EVERY NOOK N CORNER,  ALL BUILDINGS,  PARKS, ALL  ROADS, EVERY LANE BE GREEN,  CLEAN N SERENE.
