बरसो बाद, आया मेरे पिया का, आज पैग़ाम ।

छलक रहा है खुशियों से आज मेरा जाम ।

पाव जमीं पे टिकते नहीं, अब क्या होगा अंजाम ।

Love I my Bharat Mata, my revered country.
Respect and salute I, every soldier n sentry;
Who to Her enemies, day n night, bar an entry.

Expect we very many things, from our Country;
Instead, we should help Her, by becoming a voluntary sentry.
Guarding Her in our small way, locally, without being in any ministry.

Stop chopping and plant a tree or more to keep Her green.
Waste not water, litter or pollute do not, and keep Her clean.
Fight against each other on matters petty, do not. Keep Her serene.

Learn every citizen must, to give the other, mutual respect.
Let us not every other person, unnecessarily suspect.
Remember each and every Indian must, this important aspect.

MY KITE

A girl small, requests her uncle for some "manja" and a kite.
Then goes up to the terrace quietly, choosing a lonely site.
Writing something on the kite, when away from others sight.

She then tries to fly it high up to heaven, in a hurry;  with a push light.
The kite finally soars up, Heavenward; after some struggle n fight.
Suddenly her family, after a long time, see on her face a smile bright.

The kite now, far away is, and zooming to a height;
When suddenly it is cut off and is soon out of everyone's sight.
When her they approach to console, see they, a smile bright.

Surprised they are n dumb founded, to see her dancing with all her might.
Ask her they, why happy she is about this; on seeing this plight.
Replies the cute little girl, my kite has, my mother reached; n will soon be in her sight.

I have sent my love n asked her to return; with ink blue on this kite white.
Soon, o very soon, the kite will reach Heaven, n will be within my mum's sight.
With tears they hugged her; knew they, nothing could be done, about the orphan's plight.

AN ADDRESS TO EVERY PARSI

Don't forget the insults our ancestors had to swallow.
That's why, tradition we need to very well follow.

If we wish to flourish n  survive,
Their ideology, we will have to revive.

Marry early, a Humdin we must n build a family tree.
Leaving aside luxuries, children we should have three.

मन माने ना, पर दिल मचाए शोर, कहे वह जोर-जोर से,
होती है नाज़ुक, लेकिन होती नहीं कमजोर ,
प्रीत की यह डोर ।

सालों नहीं,  जन्मो जन्म की लंबी होती है यह प्रीत की डोर ।
प्रीत कभी मरती नहीं, होती नहीं वह कमजोर, पर नाजुक होती है प्रीत की डोर ।

प्रीत मागे प्रियतम से प्यार,
भले मिले ना मिले उसे संसार ।
नाजुक सा यह रिश्ता, चाहे न ज्यादा, बस मांगे प्रीतम का प्यार ।

प्रीत की रीत निराली ओ मनवा प्रीत की रीत निराली;

इस प्रीत के खातिर पी गई मीरा, हस्ते हुए, जहर की प्याली।

इस प्रीत के खातिर प्रेम से सींचे बाग को, थका हुआ माली।

इसी प्रीत ने बनाई कृष्ण राधा की जोड़ी भी गोरी और काली।

उमर प्रीत में प्रीतम की  बड़ी, और प्रियतमा की उम्र बाली।

इसी लिए प्रीत में झुक जाए, फूलों से लदी हुई  नाजुक डाली ।

खुदा की प्रीत में, बेफिक्र हो के सूफी गाये, प्रेम से भरी कव्वाली ।

एक मासूम सी कली

मुर्झा रही है एक नन्हीं सी नाजुक सी, खुशबुदार कली;
खिझा के रूखेपन से, बागबान  की बेरुखी से, वोह जली ।

निष्ठुर तूफ़ान आंधि ने झुकाया उसे बेरहमी से;
कुचला उसे, उसके अपनो ने, बड़ी बेशर्मी से

खिल न सकी वोह, खिलखिलाती थी जो, हर घड़ी ।
समय से पहले मुरझाई,  फूल न बन पाई वोह, हो के बड़ी ।


मुर्झा गई एक मासूम सी, नन्ही सी प्यारी कली बिचारी ।
वक़्त के हाथो, ठोकर खाकर, बेमौत, जिंदा जली ।

वतन हमारा

हमारे घर से फेंक दिया बाहर हमें;
सोचो जरा, हम कैसे माफ करें तुम्हे ।

खुद बन बैठे मेजबान; और फिरते हैं हम बनके बेघर, आवारा,
छोड़ कर वह जन्नत, था जो हमे, हमारे जान जीतना प्यारा ।

आप खुश हो के मना रहे हो, आपकी जीत;
और बच्चे हमारे, अपनी संस्कृति से है वंचित ।

जन्नत जैसा घर था हमारा, नैसर्गिक और बहुत प्यारा ।
आज तरस रहे हैं हम, लौटने के लिए वहां, दो बारा ।

हमारी स्थिति पे रो रहे हैं हम, पर आति नहीं तुम्हे दया ।
धरती हमारी छीनके, अब बनाओगे तुम यहां तुम्हारा आशिया ।

Come forward to preserve our dear religion n it's tenets.
Work hard to it revive; n protect it's valuable assets.

Faith in you, we have; achieve you can, if you determine.

તરસી રહ્યા છે કર્ણપત મારા, સાંભળવા પ્યારના એ મીઠા બોલ.
કોયલ જેમ કુકે, એમ મારા દિલમાં, તું પણ મિસરી ઘોળ.

સાંભળી જે, પાગલ થઇ, ડોલું હું ખુશી થી.
શું થાય, પ્યાર કરવાની ભુલ થઈ ગઈ, આં ઋષી થી.

બોલે નહિ તો, આંખો થી પીવડાવી દે, પ્યાર ના થોડા જામ.
વિચારીશ નહિ તું, શું આવશે આનો અંજામ .

Someone asked me, "does love die" ?
No I said never, with a sigh!
A true lover, never bids a good bye.
Love is forever, never to die.
It lives on n on, beyond life; I cry!
Love doesn't die; there is no reason why.

Learn to relax we must all, including me.

Relax for a moment, before accepting the strife;
Know we must, tensions are very much a part of life.
Relax, breathe deeply each time, before you worry;
Don't always be anxious or always in a hurry.
Money important is, but not more than your health.
Health and peace of mind are one's real wealth.
Need we to relax deeply; learn how to do so, we must all.

हो एक छोटा सा; पर मेरा अपना घर;
हो वह, बेहती नदी के किनारे पर ।

पेड़ पौधों के बिचमे, फूलों से महकता हो मेरा आंगन;
रंग बे रंगी फूलों से भरा हो मेरा सुहाना प्रांगण ।

पूर्णिमा का चांद खिला हो, तारों की हो बरात;
प्रीतम का हो साथ, तो और भी हसीन हो जाए रात ।

शांति हो, सुकून हो, हो दुनिया का सारा सुख;

Xmas means joy, hope n of course Santa clause ! Everyone sends him a wish list; so do I. Here is my list of wishes ...........

                       THIS XMAS

Dear Santa, from your bag of goodies; unto us babies give;

for we lazy indifferent Bawas, do not wish, to them conceive.

Also unto us, love n faith for Ahura n Zarthushtra bestow,

as that too, in this community of ours, is really very low.

Santa you are benevolent, indeed sweet and very kind,

as for these odd requests from me; please do not mind.

“please, our entire community, with love n unity do bind”

as my pleas to them are in vain; any solution I cannot find.

Loved you I, when you were my Bombay.
Loved I, every moment of that stay.
Today, it doesn't my own feel.
Why have things changed; it's now difficult to deal !
Wish I that beautiful Bombay of yore.
I loved it to the core.

ऐसा क्यों हुआ

बचपन मेरा, था खुशियों से भरपूर
मानो दुख तो था मुझ से, कोसो दूर
पर किस्मत ने किया मज़ाक एक क्रूर
अब हो गई है मेरी खुशियां मुझसे कोसों दूर ।

अब सोचने के लिए हो गया हूं मै मजबूर;
मुझे मेरी खुशियों का, न घमंड था न गुरूर
पता नहीं, ऐसे क्यू हुआ, मैं तो कभी न था मग्रुर ।
किस्मत को शायद मेरी खुशियां नहीं थी मंजूर ।

EVERY CHRISTMAS

Every year, come Christmas and Santa I wish to become.
And to cute little children, distribute gifts some.
Hope I, many more people in my endeavour would come.

If rich I would be, even the old a Xmas gift would get.
There are so many elders who need this; many whom I've met.
Who, for their children n grandchildren often desperately fret.

The Sleeping Santa in us, if we awoken, and put into action;
Wonderful, truly beautiful n magnificent would be the reaction.
Can we all, such like-minded people form such a faction ?

Christmas then really will be Merry. And the following New Year, happy will be.

Aaje chhe Mah Amerdad, Amerdad roj,
Kar door,  o Ameshaspund, maro dil no boj.
Dhara ne lili karva, kariye ame nitya khoj.
Lilotri vadhari, bun tu amaara par dilsoz.
Dhara ne banavi lilichhum, khushali failav roj -roj.
Manu tumaro aabhar jivan bhur, hur roj.

Christmas n New Year parties will soon start.
How I wish, of them we would be an integral part.
All I wish is, with you, I could cosily dance.
But destiny perhaps didn't give me a chance!
Joy immense it would be,  to be held close to your heart.
Heart beats synchronize would n of you, I would be a part.
For that special Xmas season, I have been waiting eagerly.
This endless long wait, seems to have been an eternity.
Darling, when will you come and offer me a dance ?
For that last waltz to last forever, will you give me a chance ?
