આજે છું હું શહેરમાં તારા, આહોભાગ જગ્યા અમારા.

કણ કણમાં તારો હતો અહીં વાસ,
લીધા મેં આં હવામાં ઊંડા ઊંડા શ્વાસ;

મહેકી ઉઠયું તનમન મારું, ઇત્ર છે આં ખાસ ;
મહેકતા હતાં હવામાં પુષ્પો અને ઘાસ.

આં સુંદર વાતાવરણમાં થઈ હાશ;
ફરી જાગી ઉઠી ચિનગારી; જાગી પ્રીતની આશ.

આજે તો રાધાને તારી, સંભળાય છે મીઠા સુર; ગાય છે વગડાનો હર વાંસ.

તકદીર સાથે કર નહિ તું તકરાર; સમજીને, ચૂપચાપ કબૂલ કરી લે તારી હાર.

માનવ, તું ભલે ચઢે તાર પર કે ઝાડ પર, તકદીર સાથે થાય નહિ તારાથી તકરાર.

સમય તારો હોય જો ખરાબ, તો મુખ ફેરવી લેય પોતાના યાર

વિમુખ થાય તારાથી તારો પ્યાર, યા તો કરે નહિ એc એકરાર.

તકદીર માં તાકાત છે એટલી કે પટકાઈ જાય એક ઉત્તમ ઘોડેસવાર.

અથવા ડૂબી જાય એક અઠ્ઠંગ તરનાર, માટે જ કહે છે, તકદીર સાથે કર નહિ તું તકરાર.

Levels of oxygen in the atmosphere are decreasing;

Carbon dioxide, and other pollutants obviously increasing.

Trees being chopped off, its numbers are decreasing

Heat and pollution as a result, naturally is increasing.

Sweet water levels, ground water is drastically decreasing

Sea and ocean levels because of melting glaciers is increasing.

Our awareness, the will to grow trees is sadly decreasing;

Lord kind, why is man's indifference to these important life threatening situations increasing ???

ભલ ભલા ઉચ્ચ કલાકારો આવ્યા અને ગયા, યાદ રાખજે......

સુંદરીઓ અને અપ્સરાઓ એ સુંદરતાનું કર્યું અભિમાન, માટીની કાયા માટીમાં મળી ગઈ; યાદ રાખજે.....

વૈજ્ઞાનિકો એ કરી મોટી શોધ, એ પણ ગયા, યાદ રાખજે....

THE WONDERFUL COUPLE

To get just a glimpse of him, anything she would do;

His work place, was  a divine temple for her  too.

But so sacrificing was her love, she never said, I love you.

Years passed this way, they worked dedicatedly for scores over two;

Though rarely she thought, I wish he would say, " I love you"

Also sometimes about her future she would worry and rue!!

And I, looking at their dedication, thought will they ever say, "I do" ?

Today they are both elderly, bent over, yet to work they continue.

Stuck they have dedicatedly to their proffesion like glue.

To cure thousands, even now they steadfastedly continue;

But they haven't yet said those magical words; n may not so do

All I can do is pray for them, saying,"May God bless you two".

A kind act each day, will really take us a long way.

Just go ahead and do it; you don't have to think or say.

Help someone at home, with a face smiling, make their day.

At school, college, work support someone; make their day.

Help a poor man with a vocation, it will make their life, not just a day.

Buy a balloon from the pavement n gift it to a child; make their day.

Life has many odds, many difficulties, a helping hand will make someone's day.

In turn, your Karma n the kind Lord Ahura Mazda will make your day.

ઊજાડ નહિ મને

કહે ધરા માનવને,
" શા કારણે આપ્યો સહયોગ તે દાનવને ".

"શા કારણે તું કરે છે મને પરેશાન, આપુ છું હું ખોબા ભરીને હર માનવને"

નદી તળાવ આપ્યા પ્યાસ બુઝાવવા; સૂકા કરી નાખ્યા, તારી ગંદી હરકતો થી

વન વગડા, બાગ બગીચા આપ્યા સુખથી મહાલવા;
કાપી નાખ્યાં, બેદિલી થી.

પહાડો સુંદર અને શાનદાર આપ્યા નદીઓ ના સ્ત્રોત બનાવી;

કાપી, તોડી, સુરંગ ફોડી, પ્રડ્યુષણથી સર્વનાશ કર્યો, વગર વિચાર્યે.

લાકડા મેળવવા કાપ્યા વૃક્ષ આડેધડ; તેં તો લીલાછમ વનને બનાવ્યા ધકધગતા રણ.

કહું છું તને હું, હજી પણ સુધરી જા; વૃક્ષોનું ફરી કર આરોપણ, હવે તો અજ્ઞાન માં થી જાગ.

ઉજાડ નહિ મારું અનુપમ સ્વરૂપ; મારી ખળ ખળતી નદીઓ, પહાડો, બગીચાઓ, અને બાગ.

વાંચી ને વિચારજો

વર્ષો પહેલાં નો છે આં, આઝાદી પૂર્વે નો એક કિસ્સો.

ચાલતી હતી  આઝાદીની ચળવળ હતો લોકોમાં ઘણો જુસ્સો.

અંગ્રેજો તરફ હતો ભારતવાસીઓ ને બેહિસાબ ગુસ્સો.

એક નવપરિણીત જોડું કરતું હતું જાસૂસી નું કામ.

એટલામાં વર પકડાઈ ગયો; થયું નામ એનું બદનામ

બહુ ભયાનક આવવાનો હતો એ બિચારાં નો અંજામ.

નવોઢાની એક તરફ હતો એનો જુવાન પતિ બીજી બાજુ હતો દેશ

પોતે જવાની માં વિધવા થવું કે સ્વતંત્ર બનાવવો દેશને !!

યાદ કર્યું એને રાજપૂતો નો મહાન ત્યાગ પોતાના દેશ માટે.

એ વીરાંગનાએ પતિને કહ્યું પ્રેમથી, આપણે કરીએ કાઈક નવું.

આપણે, માતાને બચાવવા, કેસરિયા, જોહર કરી કુરબાન થઈ જવું.

"હસતાં હસતાં આપીયે કુરબાની બંન્ને, તમને આપશે ફાંસી, પછી મારે ઝેર પી સૂઈ જવું."

અનેક કુબનીઓ આપ્યા પછી મળી છે આં આઝાદી

તો હવે કેમ થઈ રહી છે ચારો તરફ મારામારી ને બરબાદી ??

ચાલો સંપીને બનાવીએ નવું ભારત, તો જ આવશે ખરી આબાદી.

MY SQUITTY

Awww, so tiny you were

Almost bald, with hardly any fur.

Frightened you were, shivering on the ramp

Scared I was, somebody on you would stamp.

Awaited we for your mother to come along

Awaited we till office closure; really long !!

To protect you; home in a cage, I brought you.

Oh you tiny one, you escaped from under the door too.

On an impulse quick I caught you n gone was my fright;

Worried we were, for you, how to things set right.

In a cushioned basket small, we settled you down.

Named you we SQUITTY, and redefining a proper noun

Soon you moved all over the house, all around,

Scared we were,. so away we kept you from the ground

You hid under Mom's pillow and crawlled all over

On my hand you would sit; and around Mum hover

Enjoyed we your holding n  drinking milk from a dropper;

like a baby, holding his milk bottle, comfortable in a romper.

Oh those were such beautiful days, it's memories I cherish.

After you were gone no other pet we kept; your memory we do ravish.

In our hearts, for ever fondly you dwell n lay.

In Heaven protected by angels, may you happily stay.

પધારો પિયા

સૂકી ધરા જોઈ આકાશને, કરે પુકાર દર્દનાક

ગર્મી ના પારા ચઢી રહ્યા છે; તાપમાન છે ખતરનાક.

સૂર્યના તાપ માં ભસ્મ થઈ રહી છું, ભયાનક છે આગ

મુરઝાઇ રહ્યાં છે મારા ખેતરો, વાડીઓ ને બાગ

બળી રહી છું હું; ગરમી પડી રહી છે સખત

પધારો પિયા, બનાવો નવોઢા મને, ફરી એક વખત.

લીલી ચુંદડી, ફૂલોવાલી પેહરી, લેહરાવું છે એક વખત ફરી

વીજળી અને ગર્જના આપશે સંકેત; હું એનાથી કદી નથી ડરી.

બસ પ્યાસ મારી બુઝાવી, કરો મને હરીભરી, ખુશ્બુદાર.

આનંદ, ફેલાય; નદી નાળા છલકાય મારા, આરપાર.

કોયલ મીઠું મીઠું ટહુકે, મોર થનગની, ઝૂમીને નાચે

હર કોઈ, માનવ, પશુ, પંખીડા, વૃક્ષ, સુખમાં રાચે.

SOW HUMATA

The soul so battered is, by its deeds n misdeeds;

it's the wicked mind that sows thorny seeds,

happily then, it water n fertilizers, to it feeds;

dangerously, poisonous thoughts, are like weeds.

With constant Humata, Hukht, Huvareshta we must string  beads

seeing that our mind n heart, to our conscience heeds.

pay full attention we must, to our spiritual needs

after all, to Ahura Mazda, it is our Humata that leads.

ધરતી કરે પુકાર

ધરતી બિચારી રાડો પાડીને કરે છે પુકાર,

ઉપકાર નો બદલો, કદી ના હોય અપકાર

સુધાર જલ્દી થી તારી રીતભાત, તારા સંસ્કાર.

ઓ માનવ કર એટલો મુજ પર ઉપકાર

આટલું બધું તું આપ  ન મને કષ્ટ

આં ઘા ખમી ખમી ને થઈ ગઈ છું હું ત્રસ્ત

શીદ કરે છે તું આં સ્વર્ગ જેવી ધરા ને નષ્ટ

મારા ઝાડ પાન, પર્વત નદીઓ ને કરે છે ભ્રષ્ટ.

આમ દુઃખી અને કદરૂપી કર ન મને સાવ

લીલોત્રી તારે માટે છે જરૂરી, ઝાડ પાન વાવ

ઝાડ હશે તો જ તું વરસાદ ને કહી શકશે, "આવ"

ઝાડ આપે તને પ્રાણવાયુ, છાયડો, ખોરાક; એમને આપ ન ઘાવ.

ઓ માનવ સંભાળ મને, તો જ પામશે તું જીવન

ઉજાડશે આમ તું વૃક્ષ તો વધશે તાપ અને ધરા બનશે રણ

વૃક્ષ રોપણ કરી, રણ ને પરિવર્તિત કરી, બનાવ વન

તો સફળ થશે તારું અને તારા બાળકો નું જીવન.

મારું ખાંડનું પોટલું

નાજુક એ એટલી, કે જાને હોય ઇંડાનું કોટલું;

ખાત્તી બટ તો એટલી કે જાને હોય કેરી નું ગોટલું

ખેંચી આવે એકદમ ચૂપચાપ થઈને, કોઈનું ચોટલું.

પણ છે એ મીઠ્ઠી મધુરી, ખાંડ નું એક મોટું પોટલું.

જ્યારે ગુસ્સો આવે ત્યારે લાગે એકદમ કડવું કારેલુ.

અથવા તો આતશ જેમ તપે એ, માનો લાકડું હોય બારેલું.

પણ મધ કરતાં એ મીઠ્ઠી હશે, એવું નહિ મે ધારેલું.

જીવ જાન અમારો, વસે એનામાં, છે મે પોટલાનેં દિલમાં મારા ઉતારેલું.

યાદ

એને વિચાર્યું,
" આજે ફરી મને આવી એની યાદ;

કેટલી કરી યાચના, કેટલા આપ્યા મે એને સાદ;

વિચારું છું શા કારણે કર્યું  મે જીવન બરબાદ!

મન અને દિલે કર્યા અનેક તર્ક, ઘણા વાદવિવાદ;

દિલ શા કારણે હર હમેશા જીત્યું, અને હું હારી, થયો બરબાદ !

આં તે કેવો પ્યાર; ઈચ્છું છું કે એ રહે સદા આબાદ;

ભલે થાઉં હું ઉદાસ જીવન ભર, કે થાઉં બરબાદ.

દિલ થી, અંતર આત્મા થી આવ્યો એક સાદ;

"અરે ગાંડા, તેં તો કર્યો છે પ્યાર, એ વાત ને આપ દાદ;

એને ક્યાં કર્યો છે ઈઝહાર, પછી વરી કેવી ફરિયાદ !"

बरखा आइ, तो आए तुम मुझे याद;

पर किसको करू मैं फरियाद ?

राधा या मीरा होता तो रो के करता याद

पर मुझे तो कहते है, "कृष्ण है हरजाई; कोई न दे दाद"

मेरा दर्द, मेरी तड़प समझे न कोई; पर मै नहीं हूं फौलाद

मुझे भी राधा की आती है बहुत याद;

पर किसे कहूं; कौन सुनेगा मेरी फरियाद ???

COOL CUCUMBER

Wish I could always cool as a cucumber remain

From irritation and anger, I wish to totally abstain

Yet like some people, I don't wish to this, just feign;

I honestly wish to from irritation and anger refrain.

Thank Ahura, blessed I am with a nature fairly good !

Wonder I, otherwise with a temper short, what happen would !

May people never be able to provoke me; decide firmly I should;

Otherwise misguide n mislead me anyone easily could.

If I had a temper nasty, people at me, badwords could have hurled;

Or from authorities, nasty actions could have unfurled.

Lord keep me cool as a cucumber, in this chaotic  world.

So that embrace me You could, with Your arms curled.

સાનિધ્ય

કુદરત ના સાનિધ્ય માં, ઝાડના છાંયડે, બે પળ બેસવા દે મને;

તું પણ બેસી ને જો બે પળ અહીં,  પરમ શાંતિ મળશે તને.

એક ઝાડ આપે છાયો અને શીતળ ઠંડક; મટાડે આપણો થાક.

આપે એ પ્રાણ જેટલો કીમતી પ્રાણવાયુ; કરતો ના તું, એને કાપવાનો વાંક.

કોયલ ટહુકે, પક્ષીઓ કરે કલરવ એની ડાળીઓ પર, ગાય મીઠા ગીત.

યાદ છે તને, કદમ ના ઝાડ હેઠે, પાંગરી હતી, રાધા કૃષ્ણની પ્રીત.

વાવ તું ઝાડ, એક, બે કે ત્રણ; કાશ હું વાવી શકું એક આખું વન.

કોશિશ પૂરી કરે ભગવાન, માનવ જો બનાવી લેય  એનું મન.

દિલને ખૂણે

આપજે મને એક નાની જગા, તારા દિલના એક ખૂણે.

ખુશ થઈશ પામી આં જગા મહામૂલી; દુઆ આપીશ તને.

બસ એક વાર કહી દે, કે તે આપી એ નાનકડી જગા મને;

રહીશ હું ત્યાં ખુશખુશાલ, પ્રેમથી, એ આંગણે તારે.

આં વ્યવસાયથી ભરેલી કૃત્રિમતા થી ભરપુર દુનિયા સાથે કઈ લેવાદેવા નથી મારે.

ખુશ થઈશ હું, જો રેવા મળશે તારા દિલના ખૂણે; બીજું કંઈ ના જોઈએ મારે.

Little things some, matter very much.

Most likely, to return it, people are bound.

A sweet little word, helps tremendously, a soul weary.
Makes a tired or a sad person, feel a bit cheery.

A whistle or a song, soothes an aching heart.
Music, of Nature, of environment, is an important part.

A thank you, with a smile, makes the giver, really good feel.
A gesture kind, for life,  stay with you can, in our memory, it we seal.

A genuine sorry, can a broken relationship, to an extent mend.
With an apology, vibes of sincere feelings you can send.

સપના

ખુલી આંખોએ જોવાય નહિ સપના, આં તું ક્યારે સમજશે ?

આવું કરશે તો વિખૂટા પડી એ તારી આંખો સામેથી ઓઝલ થશે.

સમજ જરા, સપના જોવા માટે માનવ ને જોઈએ,  મીઠી નીંદર.

પણ તું તો શાંતિપ્રિય શશી ને બદલે માંગે તપતો રવિન્દર .

યાદ હશે તને, નીંદર ન આવે તો સપના ક્યાંથી આવે;

એટલે જ, ભર દિવસે, મારી ખુલી આંખો સપના સજાવે.

દ્વન્દ્વ

ફરી એક વખત, બોલ્યું મારું મન, " તે આં શું કર્યું યાર ?

શા માટે કરીએ જાય છે તું , એક પડછાયા ને પ્યાર ?

આમ એકધારી, ક્યાં સુધી અને કેટલી જોશે તું એની વાર ?

વર્ષો વિત્યા તો પણ મળ્યો નથી તને હજી, એક સુખી સંસાર.

અને વળી હજી પણ દેખાતા નથી સુખ ના કોઈ બી આસાર.

કહ્યું હતું મે તને અનેક વાર, કર નહિ તું એક પડછાયાને પ્યાર "

દિલે આપ્યો જવાબ, "વાત તારી બધીજ છે સાચી, માનું છું હું હાર"

"પણ તારા જેવી વિચારશક્તિ નથી મુજમાં, એટલે ખાઈ જાઉં છું માર.

હું તો બસ દિલ આપ્યા પછી, કરિયેજ જાઉં છું પ્યાર"

દુનિયાદારી ની સમજ તારામાં છે, હું તો હજી પણ કરું છું આં રીતેજ પ્યાર".

બોલ્યું મન, " આં બધાં લોકો પાસેથી, તું પણ સિખ થોડો ઘણો વ્યાપાર, વ્યવહાર."

મળ્યો જવાબ દિલ નો, " મને તો બસ આવડે છે કરતાં પ્યાર, સંભાળીલે તું જ, આં સંસાર.

દ્વન્દ્વ કરવું નથી મને કોઈ, હું તો બસ કરિયેજ જાઉં છું પ્યાર, બસ પ્યાર જ પ્યાર".

PROTECT OUR SELF-RESPECT

The elderly, certainly a decent amount of money need;

to themselves, properly medicate, clothe n feed.

By all means, a right they have, to a comfortable life lead.

They shouldn't be paying income tax again indeed.

The GOI to this important matter should heed n concede.

They should, these old laws urgently demolish and ****.

Already slogged n paid their tax, the elderly have indeed;

Why then should they be burdened; to change, I request plead.

With self-respect, don't they have a right, to a good life lead ?

અનમોલ મોતી

ઓ ખુદા પ્યારા,

એક એક મોતી પિરોવી, બનાવી છે આં ગીતો ની માળા

અર્પણ કરું છું હું તને એ, ઘણા પ્રેમથી, મારા વાહલાં

મન ના મોતી પિરોવિયા છે મે, પ્રેમ થી છે જે ભરપુર;

કવિતા લખતાં ભરાય મારું હૈયું, પ્રેમથી થાય એ ઉર પુર.

એક એક શબ્દ ગાઈ, પ્રેમ થી કરું છું તુજને આં અર્પણ.

આપજે આશિષ એવા, કે જગ વાંચી, ઝાંકે ભીતર, જુવે દર્પણ;

કરે એ લોક આત્મ દર્શન; પછી તુજકને હું બીજું માંગુ શું ભલા !

આં શબ્દો ને ઢાળી ને ગીતોમાં, રિઝાઉં તુજને; અર્પણ કરું તુજને એ સઘળાં.

જમાના ને પસંદ એ આવે કે નહિ, ભલે એમને હોય ના આં મોતીઓ નું મોળ;

પણ સ્વિકરજે તું, આં મોતી મારા અનમોલ; જમાનો કરી શકે ન એમનો તોળ.

An Ode to Emperor Kanishka that crashed on 23 June 1985....

So many  innocent lives and a majestic Aircraft was gone

Though life for others, after a while moved on;

But their dear ones miss them even today;

For them, very sad we feel; but all we can do is only pray.

O killers, answer you will have to, the Lord some day;

Go up there when you, to Him what will  you say ?

Remember KARMA LEAVES NO ONE; hence it won't leave you.

That day, indeed very late it will be, for you to rue.

You will have to pay for your cowardly act; when you, to live cease.

May the Lord bless those that left, with eternal progress n  peace.

ARE WE REALLY CIVILIZED ?

Ask ourselves this we must; are we really civilized ?

The harm we are causing to Nature;
have we this ever realized ?

Pollute we, almost all of Mother Nature's valuable elements;

Ignoring Her wellness n brutally hurting Her sentiments.

Her flora, fauna, rivers, Seas we trouble n torture.

Her mountains we trample upon; in short we destroy Nature.

Even now, do you think we are truly civilized; do you agree with me ?

Let me please know if eye to eye with me you too see.

મન

આં મન તો બધું જ જાણે, પણ કોઈ નું કહ્યું ન માને

પ્રીત રચે એ, પણ દુઃખ સહે બિચારું દિલ, જાણે અંજાને

ચંચળ છે એ બહુ, થઈ જાય એ બસ એક પળ માં પરાયું.

ઉડે અને ઉછળે એ, જાણે હોય વાદળ કે પછી વહેતો વાયુ.

પળ માં પરાયું થઈ, કરે એ બિચારા દિલ ને બહુ પરેશાન.

આંધીમાં એ દીપક પ્રગટાવવા જાય, બિચારા દિલ ને રાખી અંજાન.

પ્રીતમ ને જોઈ થઈ જાય એ સાઉ બાવરું, બચકાની કરે હરકત

પળ ભર માં એ જીવન ભર ની તકલીફ વોહરી લેય; આમાં નથી બે મત.

કરું શું હું આં ચંચળ મન નું; કોઈ તો બતાવો ઉપાય

કોઈ મને આપે સલાહ, કે સંજોગો માં આવા, સુખ શાંતિ કેવી રીતે સ્થપાય ?

MUSIC

MUSIC has always been my first Love, my passion .

To sing old lilting melodies is almost an obsession;

Sing I, those haunting melodies; which are evergreen in fashion.

Soft music grants me peace, sometimes it arouses compassion.

If the words, sorrow portray, I feel sad or doleful .

Also words, yearning for a lover, makes me feel soulful.

But those peppy dance numbers, do make me swing.

Them a  little loudly, rythmetically, I am prompted to sing.

Lord kind, help me sing with all my heart and soul;

May its effect also touch every listener's heart n soul.

कभी फुलोंकी सेज बन जाती है जिंदगी;

कभी कांटो का बिस्तर हो जाती है यही जिंदगी ।

कभी खुशी है; तो कभी दुख है जिंदगी ।

हसाती है यह कभी तो कभी रुलाती है जिंदगी ।

कुछ भी हो, बहुत ही अजीब है यह जिंदगी

अंत तक समझ नहीं सकते है हम, आखिर क्या चीज़ है यह जिंदगी

A...Can places close to Sea, have desalinated water in swimming pools ? This way thousands of gallons of sweet water can be saved.

B... Water from washing machines can be used to flush toilets.

C... Water from RO n AC plants,  can be reused to mop floors, water plants etc.

D... Water collected after washing vegetables and fruits can be used to water plants.

E... Rain water can be harvested n stopped from going into gutters.

Every little drop when saved n collected will become very useful.

अगन- यह आग

ठंडी बारिश की बूंदे; ठंडक न पहुंचाए; जगाए तन में आग

और शीतल चांदनी लगाए तन पे, चन्द्रमा वाला दाग ।

राह देखते देखते कली मुरझा रही है, उदास है सारा बाग

वो ऐसे ही मुरझाई थी, जब होली में आए न थे पिया, बीत गया था फाग

पिया का न कोई संदेश, न ठिकाना; भले का- का करता रहे काग

उसकी खुशियों का गला घोट रहा है नसीब; बन के एक जहरीला नाग ।

थक गए है नैना, राह निहारते, बढ़ती जा रही है अगन, कैसे बुझेगी यह आग ?

अमावस की रात

बड़ी लम्बी और भयानक थी वोह अमावस की रात

दर्दनाक कहानी लिख गई है यह कातिल  काली रात ;

यह रात,  जिसकी है एक दर्दभरी कहानी, एक दुखद बात ।

सुंदर गुड़िया जैसी थी वो, हसीन और चुलबुली; जी आइसकी है यह बात।

बड़े अरमानों से मैया बाबा ने पीले किए थे उसके कोमल हाथ

गई वो ससुराल साथ लेके अपने हसीन सपने और जज़्बात

पर सास ने सताया, ननंद और देवर ने गुजारे अत्याचार, मार के लात

आंखो में थे सपने जिसके, वोह साजन था एक राक्षस; किए अनेक प्रत्याघात ।

यह सब देख कर, दुख झेल कर लगा उसे बड़ा आघात

थी जो एक राजकुंवरी जैसी, बना दिया उसे एक दासी; किस्मत ने दी ऐसी मात

जब झेल न सकी वोह अत्याचार; तब लगी भागने एक रात

पीछे भागते आए ससुरालवाले; सन्नाटा छाया था गंगाजी के घाट

धकेल दिया गंगाजी में, उस बिचारी को; किस्मत ने दी उसे मात ।

आज न थे चांद, न सितारे; भयानक काला था आज गंगा घाट

चीखी, चिल्लाई, पर सुनी नहीं किसी ने आवाज़ उस रात

डूब गई वो, बेह गई वो, तिनका भी न आया उसके हाथ

आज भी सुनाई देती है चिखे उसकी, जब जब होती है अमावस की रात ।

એક નાનકડો વિચાર

અહમ ને છોડવાનો, કર તું , એક સુંદર વિચાર

બદલ તારા અહમ થી ભરેલા આચાર વિચાર

અહમ ને લીધે માનવ કાઢે નિર્દોષ લોકો પર ખાર

વિચિત્ર વર્તન કરી, બગાડે કોઈક નિર્દોષ નો સંસાર

અહમ બગાડે સંબંધો, દોસ્તી, ફેલાવે અંધકાર

છોડ તું અહમ ભરેલા તારા વિચાર, સુખી થશે આખો સંસાર.

અંતર આત્મા નું સાગર મંથન કરી, જાત ને તું સુધાર

સારા આચાર વિચાર થી જ સુખી થાય સૈાનો સંસાર.

HEAT

Heat constantly , year after year, is increasing;

The great glaciers are slowly but steadily melting;

And ocean levels are certainly n constantly rising.

And we callous human beings are, our Earth polluting.

Stop urgently we must, being careless and mean.

Immediately let us rise to the situation n grow GREEN.

Immediately clear the Earth of pollutants n it clean.

Will you all take an oath with me, to keep our Earth serene.

" I hereby promise to keep our Earth clean, Green n Serene".

ख्वाहिशें

ख्वाहिशें मरती नहीं, न तो भुलाई जाती है ;

यह तो बस यादे बन के, हमें अक्सर सताती है ;

कभी कभी तो यह, हमें बहुत रुलाती भी है ।

खाहिशे मेरी, थी बहुत छोटी, फिर भी न मिली,

तब किसी ने कहा," प्रीत प्रेम है दोनों ही किम्मती ;

ये आसानी से मिलते नहीं, गलतफहमी है यह तेरी "

"आज के दौर में सच्ची प्रीत, सच्चा प्यार मिलता नही ।

वफा, दोस्ती, ईमानदारी की करना नहीं तु अपेक्षा"

तब लगा, यह "लोन" के ज़माने में गाडियां, घर मिल भी जाए;

पर मुफ्त में भगवान ने जो दी है भावनाए, वोह आजकल मिलती नहीं ।

मैंने पूछा, "तो क्या इंसान ख्वाहिशें रखनी छोड़ दें ?"

तब कहा उन्होंने, "बालक दिमाग से काम लो, दिलवालों की दुनिया अब रही नहीं"

ख्वाहिशें मेरी, मेरे मन में ही रह गई, जमाना जीत गया, मै हार गई ।

भरम

बस एक झलक पाते ही, आपके ख़यालो में हो गए मशरूफ;

सपनों की दुनिया में खो गए; और यहां से शुरू हुई तकलीफ़

देखा जो आपको, अपने ही दिल के हाथो, हो गए मजबूर

इश्क़ के हाथो बिक गए;  आप के नाम से जुड़ कर, होना था मशहूर ।

पर आंख खुली तो समझ में आया, यह था एक जूठ, एक भरम

समझाया अपने आप को,  शायद ऐसे अच्छे नहीं थे हमारे करम

इसी लिए बन के हम आंधी और तूफान से अनजान;

बिना समझे, जला दिया एक दीया आंधी में; जगा लिया दिल में तूफान

जीवन भर डोलेगी नैया, मिलेगा नहीं कभी साहिल

डूब जाएगी यह कश्ती, गहरी है झील; मिलेगी नहीं कभिभी मंज़िल ।
