ગુંચવાઇ ગઈ છે જિંદગી એવી; માનો ગુંચ પડી હોય લટો માં ગેહરિ

કેવુ સુંદર હતું જીવન;  હતું ઍ ખુશાલ, બિન્દાસ્ત અને લેહરિ .

તબાહ થઈ ગઈ જિંદગી, માનો લટો નહિ, સાપોના ગુંચડાં હોય  જેહરિ.

દાતા, સુજાડ કોઇ ઉપાય, આપજે એક કાંસકો જાદુઇ સરસ;

શાંતિથી કાઢે જે ગુંચ, તો પસાર થાય સુખથી, બાકીના શેષ વર્ષ.

બહારમાં ખીલે  ફુલો અસંખ્ય, સાવનમાં વર્ષાથી  મટે તરસ.

આજ  રોજે દુખમાં  ગરક થયો હશે આખો  સંસાર;

ઓ વક્ષુરે  વક્ષુરાન, કરીયે અમે માનથી આજે જ નહી, સદા તને પ્યાર

પુર સનમાનથી અને ખરા મનથી  કરીયે તને યાદ.

કરુ છું હૂં, તને દિલોજાન થી એક  વિનંતી, સમજ જે મારી ફરિયાદ,

સંકટમાં છે  ધરમ તારો, કર તુ કાઈ મોજેજો આજ

મોકલ હવે  જલદી સોશ્યોસ ને, કરજે  જલદી આં કાજ.

વિનંતી મારી, ઓ  વક્ષુરે વક્ષુરાન, કરજે સ્વીકાર;

છે આજે પારસીઓ ની નૈયાં ડામાડોળ, કરવ્જે એને પાર.

Huge n grand it was, under those beautiful heavenly open  skies

On the banks of river Tapi, in  Mughlisera, Surat it now dilapidated lies ;

Known better it is as "Angrj ni kothi"; the East India factory; were its old ties!!

A  compound huge, with a garden; estimate you just can't,  its price !!!

How I wish,  it was actually mine, loved I every bit of it; specially its location n size.

Always admire I would,  those marvellous Sunsets n watch enamored the magical  moon rise.

Listen I often did,  to beautiful lilting songs of yore; on a stereo of high quality n price

Enjoyed I the breeze cool, blowing over the river,  as  I ate food, specially my Mom's Biryani rice.

And  most  of all, I enjoyed the glow on my Mom's face, whenever with my visit, I her surprised!!!

Oh wonderful were those days I spent with my beloveds, no one can ever quote their price

Miss I its beauty  n grandeur,  lures me that balcony even today; hope like Phoenix it will again arise.

May this dream come true,  may that happiness from nowhere again arise.

એમને બી કરવા ગમે છે મસ્તી તોફાન અને લાડ

આમ તો સાયક્લોન માં ઝાડો નષ્ટ થઈ જશે; ધરાને  આમ ન ઉજાડ

હે  માનવ, તુ પણ જલદી જાત જાતના ઝાડ ઉગાડ

કન્હાં, કોરોના અને  સાયક્લોન ને  જલદ માં જલદ ભગાડ

Happy become,  search for reasons small;

Make someone smile,  help one or some friend, call.

Support or lift someone who has just had a fall.

Happiness comes to us, when happy others we make

For an elder or a child,  a cake you can  bake

Or if very busy,  you may buy them a cup cake

Reasons there are plenty,  open your eyes please.

Growing a plant or tree, will ensure shade n breeze

A song or two sing;  your's n others tension it will release.

Search for reasons,  be happy  n make others  happy .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY  SHASHNU

When I was a teenager, just a young girl;

Into my hands one  day, a cute little bundle did curl.

Into our lives this baby came; as if a splendid whirl;

Attracting us tremendously; all of us around her, would furl.

Rocking her in a bedsheet; or from our hand her hurl;

To me  she was like my first-born, this baby girl.

She  was  a darling,  to play with,  sheer joy;

For all five of us, she  was a walkie-talkie doll, our toy.

Started we speaking her baby-language, which we did actually enjoy.

Playing silly games with her,  we thoroughly did enjoy;

But to feed her we had to actually plan and ploy.

putting her off to sleep on our rocking chair, singing to her, was real joy.

Sharon,  darling  we wish you a very happy year,  not just a day.

May  God bless you n may you always happy stay ;

May  troubles,  illness  n worries from  you stay away .

May I be able to take you in my arms,  soon one day;

And for this day of reunion happy, to the  kind  Lord, I  pray.

FAMILY DAY

Oh how I miss those days, so beautiful,  so  memorable !

Everyone so  closely knit was,  loving,  caring,  adorable

Everything n everyone, all  relationships were so  informal.

Life now is so formal, almost painful, just about tolerable

People today are more independent,  monetarily stable.

To live in luxury and style, with facilities many, they are able.

Without their own dear ones they are actually more comfortable.

Sadly, these days, family values are fading off, almost saleable

Lord,  give us  back those wonderful days, so beautiful  and memorable.

क्या होगी फिर से एकबार जिवन मे आपसे  मुलाकात ?

अनकही, अनसुनी वो प्यार से भरपुर बात;

जो कह नही सका आपको, वही प्यार की बात

आँखे कहती थी  मेरे  दिल मे छुपे जज़्बात

पर  आपने अनसुनी कर दी मेरे दिल की बात !

पल दो पल की थी वो मुलाकात; अब है लम्बी जुदाई की रात

आज कल, रात भले हो लम्बी और गमगीन; अमावस्य की;

पर तारें अब भी, आज भी,  चमकते है इसी गगन मे ।

गम न कर ए दिल,  कल होगी एकबार फिर से चांद रात

देख  तारें दूर रह कर भी करते है एक दूजेसे प्यारी प्यारी बात  

तू भी फोन उठा कर, कर ले, अपनो से थोड़ी सी बात

अब तो  वक्त है तेरे पास, कर ले बिछ्डों से अपने मन की बात

कोई तो अधुरी रह गई होगी तेरी, तेरे अपनो से बात;

कर ले वह आज पूरी, न जाने फीर वक्त मिले न मिले,

खत्म कर दे  दिल की दूरी, तु भी जरा चैन से जी ले ।

जल्द बीत जाए यह लम्बी अमावस की काली  रात;

यह इश्क़, इस प्रित को क्या नाम दू ;  कोई जरा मुझे  बताये;

यही  इश्क़  जो मुझे दिन रात तडपाए , बेन्तहा  सताये !

नज़र मिलते ही  दिल पराया हो गया, यह क्या हो गया ?

धडकता है सिने में मेरे, पर उसके लिये; मेरा ही दिल मुझे धोका दे गया ।

उड़ गई नीन्द रातों की, हाये अचानक मुझे यह क्या हो गया ;

नीन्द न आये  फिर भी  आँखे  तरस्ती है दर्शन को; बुलाती हू सपनो मे;

अब आँखे मेरी, देखती है  सपने तेरे, अरे  मुझे यह क्या हो गया !

नस  नस में तू ही है समाया, फिर भी, आखिर तो, तू है पराया ।

राणा  यह समझे  ना, मिरा क्यू भई  बांवरि, यह प्रित को क्या नाम दूँ ?

पराया है तू, तो क्यू लागे अपना सा, मोहन मेरे, इस प्रित को मै क्या नाम दू?

ओ  चांद

शिकायत करती हूँ मै  तुझसे कई बार ;

क्या देता है तू उन्हे मेरा भेजा हुआ प्यार ?

क्या पहुचाता है मेरा संदेश तू उनको, मै यह जानू ना।

दिल की बाते दिल में छुपा के बैठी हूँ मै;

उन्के प्यार में खो गया है दिल मेरा, मुझे है ले डुबा;

सिर्फ तू ही जानता है, जो  कहती नही यह जुबां ।

क्या सुनाता है तू उन्हे मेरी फरियाद ?

क्या वो भी करते है मुझे कभी कभी  याद ?

इतना जरा बता जा, बादलों में छुप जाने से पहले

जब वो लौटे, तो आना तू , लेकर संदेश उन्ह्से पहले ।

Any grave illness,  acute or chronic is like a curse,

That's when we know the importance of a nurse.

She is the one who helps us to this situation reverse;

Be it problems of heart,  brain, kidneys,  back or liver n bile.  

It is a straining job to do so,  yet she does it with a smile

That's the reason you recover enough to walk a mile.

She is like a daughter,  sister, mother to those who are ill;

Giving medical treatment, be they, injections or many a pill

Overworked she is, tired n exasperated with this drill;

And yet does this she willingly, with a smile,  for years,  everyday.

Thank her with all our heart and at least a flower please offer today

Accept our gratitude dear Florence  Nightingale; for your health we pray.

સાસુ નહિ માતા  

મેહરુ મમ્મા અમારા, હતાં બહુ  માયાળુ અને  પ્યારા.

પ્રેમથી બાહોમાં લઈ કહ્યું હતું કે, "સ્વાગત છે તારું   ઘરમાં મારા"

કહ્યું હતું, "સાસુ ના  કહેતી કદી; હું  સાસુ નહિ, મમ્મા છું હું તારી".

એમને વાત આં, કાયમ રાખી એમની; મા  દીકરી નિ ટીમ હતી અમારી.

એ દીનાઝ, ખુરશીદ  અને વિસપી ના પ્રેમાળ મમ્મા  હતાં, સુંદર હતી સૂરત;  

નોબલ હતાં, પ્રેમાળ હતાં, હતાં ઍ મમતા ની  મુરત ;

એટલેજ હતી લાગણી મારી કુણી, અને હતું મને એમના માટે અપાર માન.

દાદાર ની પ્રેમાળ બાંહો મા રહેજો સદા; ખુબ પ્રગતિ કરે તમારુ રવાન.

GROW OLD GRACEFULLY

Youth and beauty for ever, do not stay

With age,  changes our body n mind, in many  a way.

Our face, wrinkles shows, and gone is that youthful glow.

Wanes our energy and movements become slow.

The shiny black,  brown, golden locks, now grey have turned.

Happily one can now tell, "this  silver I have proudly earned "

Bones creak,  brittle become they  and joints often hurt

Because of forgetfulness,  young ones are often curt;

Sadly, some youngsters even treat elders like dirt;

Because spill things we often n stain our dresses or  shirts.

But become not depressed n sad, or towards life turn cold;

Let's keep our body n mind agile  n active; gracefully, lets grow old.

एक परिंदे को बचाने लड़ गया था तू अपने भाई से,

जीत लिया था दिल सबका अपनी दया और  भलाई से

MANGO

Salute you I do; "O Shenshah o ke  Shenshah";

Mango, king of all fruits, tastiest is,  hence a Shenshah;

Delicious, sweet, mouthwatering, like sheer nectar you taste.

There is hardly a part of you that is utilized not, or is a waste.

The pulp of course is undoubtedly the best, as compared to the rest .

Wonderful are your  jams, sweets, candies; n "aam ras" definitely is the best.

In season this,  not to be able to eat you, feels like a grave grave sin.

The seed, beneath the cover hard, is excellent medicine;

O Mango,  your skin, cows, goats, buffaloes happily devour.

Eating you whilst still green is real fun, with salt n chillies...tangy n sour;

Mouthwatering is that taste; "baafla" also very healthy is.

Will you folks collect mango seeds n sow them pleeeeeeease.

दर्शन को तरसते हैं तेरे पिया, मेरे यह बावरे नैन

छिन लिया है मोहन तुने, मेरे दिल का चैन ;

बता मुझे, धुन्द्ने तुझे, बिरहन मै, कहां  जाऊ

बंध करू इन्हे, तो दर्शन की झलक पाऊ ;

खोलूं नैन तो, हो जाए तू ओज़ल;

बिरहमें तेरे, थक गई हूँ, सांसे भी है बोझल

तेरे बिरह में असवन बहाये, मेरे यह बावरे नैन;

बांसुरीया तेरी, सुना कर मीठी ताने, कर जाती हैं जिया बेचैन

तरसाना, तड्पाना इतना, ठीक नही है प्रितम मेरे ,

शाम सवेरे, नित्य तरसु  मैं, दर्शन को तेरे

नज़र फेर कर, मुझे ठुकरा कर, क्या मिलेगा तुझे ;

बस माँगू इतना, दर्शन दिखला जा मोहन मुझे ।

SAYETH THE EARTH

Sayeth the Earth,  burning I am in this scorching heat.

Like you,  in a shaded cover,  I cannot retreat.

Hence request you I,  very earnestly,  with kindness,  me treat.

To plant trees, that will help you and me,  I again repeat.

Stop digging me for minerals, oil, diamonds,  coal n peat;

To become prosperous, powerful n wealthy do not me, ill treat

Get up n out this Monsoon, for your own self,  come n Nature meet.

There  are millions starving for them n yourself grow useful trees.

On  the contrary,  you chop them off n their numbers decrease.

Remember you are alive, you get OXYGEN because of my trees.

It  is these trees that hold rainwater,  protect floods n give you breeze.

If comes down the temperature,  glaciers can again freeze.

It's an obligation  n divine duty of yours to trees increase.

It's my sincere heartfelt request,  GROW TREES PLEASE.

તુજમાં વસે રામ, કૃષ્ણ, ગૉડ, અલ્લાહ,અહુરા, હર ભગવાન

તુજમાં વસે પાવન પ્રેમ; તુજ માં વસે તારા ભક્તો નિ જાન;

કરે ભક્તિ તારી સકળ વિશ્વ, હઝારો, લાખો ઇન્સાન.

સદગુરૂ તું સાચો, માર્ગ ચીંધે ભક્ત ભુલ્યાનો; કે ભક્ત જયારે હોય હેરાન

મદદ  કરવા, આવી પુગે બની એક અનોખો અણધાર્યો  મેહમાન

શીખવે તું શ્રૃદ્ધા અને સબુરી, હર જીવ ને આપવા, પ્રેમ અને  સનમાન

આપજે અમને આશિષ તારા, બનીએ અમે પણ, એક નેક ઇન્સાન

સુખ ના સાથી હોય  ઘણા, દુખ ના ભાગ્ય જ હોય છે કોઇ

દૌલત અને  શોહરત હોય ત્યાં દૌડ મુકે હર કોઇ

ખુરસી ની બોલ બાલા પણ જાણે છે હર કોઇ.

ગરીબ ના નસીબ ગરીબ, આવે ન ભાઈ ભણ્ડુઓ બી  કરીબ

ગરીબી છે એક શ્રાપ સમાન, ભાગે દુર, આવે ન કોઇ  કરીબ

એમાં જો આવે માંદગી તો તો  જીવતા જીવત માર્યો જાય ગરીબ

ખોટાં છે, પણ આં જ પ્રચલિત છે; દુનિયનો માનો છે આં દસ્તુર  

પોતાના ગરીબ ભાઈ, બહેન ને કરે પરાયા, પોતાનાથી કરે દુર.

પૈસાના પુજારીઓ, ખુરસી ના ભક્તો, પત્થર હૈયાંના છે, સાચેજ ક્રુર.

હૈયું રાખજે તારુ કોમળ, કરતો ના  તુ નફરત, ભલે માનવી હોય ગરીબ

બોલજે બોલ પ્રેમાળ, ભગવાને આપી છે આં માટે જ તને જીભ

હોય છે ગરીબને બી  તારા જેવુંજ  દિલ, ભલે હોય એ ગરીબ.

न जाने कब आप बन गये जिवन मेरा, धीरे धीरे, चुपके चुपके

जिन्दगीमें मेरी आये बहार बनके, दिल में समा गये, बन के मेरे, चुपके चुपके

न  जाने कब, तन मन पे एक नशा बनके छा गए आप, चुपके चुपके

और फिर, हम अपना दिल ही खो बैठे, न जाने कब यह हुआ, चुपके चुपके ।

जागते  सोते, धीरेसे मेरे ख्वाबो  खयालो में छा गए, चुपके चुपके

जिवन बन गये, मुझमे समा गये, दिल की धड़कन बन गये, बडे ही चुपके चुपके

क्या कहूँ इसे? आपका मेरे सांसोमे समाना यूह चुपके चुपके !!!

Small may be your home,  but keep your heart big;

Scanty may your hair be,  your own don't mind seeing you without a wig.

Keep people dear  to you, close to your heart;

Where there's love,  adjust one can living in a small corner or part.

Love,  care and trust important are in relationship any.

A millionaire may not be a good host;  have he may, rooms n servants many.

Better is a host, with a house small, but a heart large n attitude caring.

Remember where there's love and care,  there's automatically sharing.

Each and every living being needs it indeed !!!

Belong you may to any age, strength or creed.

In children, with education, kindness n love pl breed;

Because love,  kindness n compassion are important deeds.

With relatives n friends, in their hour of need, please stay.

A little social work, will enhance your very own day.

थी वो अति कोमल, जैसे नाम था वैसे ही था हृदय भी कोमल

हसती थी, खिललाती थी, जैसे सुबाह की हो कोमल धूप ।

मात पिता की थी वो लाडलि, भाई बहनो की थी वो दुलारि;

उसकी सहेलियां उसे चिढा कर बुलाते थे नाजुक नार

शादी के बाद बदल गया सब कुछ;  ससुरालमें उसपर छुटतेथे तीर अपार;

ससुराल आते ही, रहने लगी वो बुझी बुझी, उदास और बेकरार

कोमल दिल, कोमल काया, और मन भी था अति कोमल जो हो जाता था घायल ।

वाग बाण सुनकर, कोमल के  कोमल हृदय पे लगते थे घाव, जैसे तिक्क्षण तीर  ।

लगती थी नाज़ुक जिगर पे ठेस, पर चुप चाप सेहति रही वो पीड़ ।

मानों कोई नहीं था उसका  भले थी आजू-बाजू स्नेही जनों की भीड़

टुटे सपने, टूटी पायल, कोमल होती रही वाग बाणो से घायल

कब तक जारी रहेगा यह सिल सिला, कब तक ! कब तक ! कब तक !

खुद ही बडबडायि, जब तक है श्वाष तब तक, तब तक, तब तक !

ઓ નાનકડી ખિસકોલી

જોઇ તારી ક્રીડા, લાગે છે મને બહુ ખુશાલિ

તું કેટલી ચંચલ છે ઓ નાની ખિસકોલી.

તારી  દૌડમ દૌડ જોઇ  જાગે મનમાં ઉત્સાહ

તારી કુદાકુદ જોઇ બાળકો કરે વાહ વાહ;

જયારે તુ કુદે ડાળી ડાળી અને પાળી પાળી.  

રામજી ની તું છે અતિ પ્રિય, બહુ વાહલી.

ઓ નાનકડી, કરજે તું, મારું એક મોટું કામ

APPEAL

Lord,  these humans,  with their modernization almost my fate did seal;

That's why to You,  I had to sincerely pray and desperately appeal.

Now fate theirs is threatened, and to You they nervously appeal;

Worried they are about their lives; they have themselves sealed.

Flora and fauna today on rejuvenating, with happiness and laughter, peal.

I am now rejuvenating, thank  You Lord, for listening to my appeal

Sorry for them I do feel; but their indiscriminate actions have their fate sealed.

Lord, as You are helping me, them forgive n help them also to heal.

જીવનમાં  આપણા,સુખ દુખનિ તો નિત્ય  રહેશે આવન જાવન

પણ સુખ દુખ માં કરે મદદ એને વંદન, એ છે પાવન

બીજાના સુખ માં થાય જે ખુશ અને સુખી,

રહે એના હોઠો પર સ્મિત, જેમ કે, એક  સૂર્યમુખી

ઇન્સાન એજ, જે પરદુખ માં પણ થાય દુખી.

માનવ સાચ્ચો એજ જે  હોય એકમુખી,

જે વિચારે એજ બોલે અને કરે, એને કેહવાય સાચો માનવ.

હર માનવ માં હોય છે અંશ; છે ઍ થોડો ઇશ્વર, થોડો દાનવ.

હાથમાં છે બધું  તારા; બનવું છે કોણ તને ?

હું તો છું બસ એક સામાન્ય માનવ, બનવું નથી બીજું કોઈ મને .

જ્યરે જ્યરે યાદ આવે મને, ખોળો પ્રેમાળ તારો;

ચૂમી લૌઉ છું હું, આદર અને  પ્રેમપૂર્વક, સાડલો તારો

જ્યરે પણ  મન થાય છે વિવ્હળ અને  બેચેન મારું;

પ્રેમપૂર્વક ગળે  લગાડી લૌઉ છું હું, આંચળ તારું

પહેલાં તો આવતી  હતી  ઍમાથી  મહેક, ખુશ્બુ તારી;

જે તારી જેમ ઓઝળ થઈ ગઈ; બસ હવે છે તન્હાઈ મારી.

તારું આંચળ હવે રહ્યું નહિ તો ચૂમીને સાડલો તારો, જાણે  સ્પર્શ કરું છું હું  તને  

જ્યરે ઉદાસી ઘેરી લે છે મને, તો આવી રીતે યાદ કરી લૌઉ છું હૂં તને.

થોડા સમય માટે, થોડી ક્ષણો માટે એહસાસ ભોગવી લૌઉ છું હું તારો.

ખુદને, આં વ્યાકુળ દિલને, ભ્રમ માં બાંધી લૌઉ છું હું; તને અને  મને.

મને વિરહમાં છોડી, સિધર્યો તું દ્વારિકા

પછી શું  તને ક્યારેય ન યાદ આવી તારી રાધિકા ?

ઉદાસ હતી આંખો, નિસ્તેજ ચેહરો, અને ગાલ હતા ફિકા

પણ દ્વારિકા માં હતાં રુક્મનિજી અને બહુ બધી  સેવિકા ;

સાચું કહજે, શું  તને કદી  આવી ન મારી યાદ?

તેં તો સાંભળી નહી ગોપ ગોપીઓ નિ બી  ફરિયાદ

વૃન્દાવન તારા મોહમાં, થઈ રહ્યું છે બરબાદ

ક્યારે પધારિશ કાન્હા એને પાછુ કરવાને  આબાદ ?

LAST PRAYER N WISHES

A prayer most common is, "keep me able and always agile;

Even as I die, may I always wear a smile.

Healthy may I remain physically,  mentally n spiritually".

This, between Ahura n me, may please be agreed upon mutually.

As I  in my last moments,  on my dear one's lap lay;

May the  sweet n holy "kalaams of Ashemvahu" I hear n say.

Foul smells don't wish we; may there be scent of sandalwood, roses  n lavender.

May there be a good time, roj  n date on the calendar.

May I please avail the benefit of after death prayers,  specially sarosh three

As and when comes the transition,  may all my dear ones be around me.

As  said is in gujarati,  "મને ફુલ નિ માફક ઊંચકી લેજે "; may this be done.

If happens all this,  " oh death , over you,  out right I have won".

Religion you may not understand; to you it may be Latin or Greek;

But your  conscience answers you,  when to it you speak;

And with all your heart, its advise, you sincerely seek.
