Hello poetry iis mentioned and Thanked in the acknowledgment  area of my poetry book.
The chance I took in bringing my work to the public came because I Write here.
I will continue to do so.
I will support this site just as soon as we support Paws for Purple Hearts which is a service dog organization.
My book tells people to heal the heart and mind.
Please be patient but know I  am a poet here and I care.
There are people who one here to read and don’t write.
They are equally as important as my fellow poets.
I write grants too and if asked will help.

It is not about the check you write
If you can do that, it is wonderful
It is about about taking the time to make a difference
Sometimes it is a kind word, a listening ear, even a smile.
That is all it takes but what that does changes the world
It needs changing and we cannot do this alone
Choose what matters to you or find out what is out there
What or whom needs help and giving
Not just today because social media says so
Not because celebrities remind you to do so
The gift gives back to you
Helping and giving when you can
A loved one nicknamed me the Poor Philanthropist
Funny, I feel richer than most for reasons most people won't accept or understand

He touched my heart and lifted my spirit.
With all the wrong in this world, this young man is doing it right.
A hero that teaches us lessons too young for his tears but with an older spirit.
My wish is that Brittle bone disease leaves this planet.

More gentle than a summer breeze

tears that seem to come whenever they like
starting gently and then flooding the world that needs laughter
happy or sad they are wet and turning faces red
let go or let in what was and what is
swim in it, float in but never drown in it
maybe that is why crying is better in the shower
the tears rise and fall
then they join the oceans
maybe that is why beach walking year round is so therapeutic

Fragments
Words that are with us like ghosts that haunt annually
The moment comes and you grasp it like
a spirit walking threw a wall in uour soul

Labels are not necessary
Making a point is
Quality will always reign supreme
Quantity does not always cut it
Unless counting is your thing
Simplicity has its place
Utilize that one
Mistakes get you on the road to improvement
Acquiring things lises its luster quickly

Caught that smile in a crowd
The one that froze me in time
You did not notice
Doubt you even cared
The echo of you saying Another time and place
came roaring back like a roller coaster in reverse
We were very young

Being up and down without balance makes little sense
Letting go of yesterday and what no longer works does
Some people get left behind for your own good and theirs
It is a learning process
Nothing is as easy as it looks no matter how masterfully created
That said the creativity must be honed,revamped
,polished for the next go round

This is not about politics

We have become a country of divided we stand
Divided we fall
The Civil War was long ago

Never knew awful to be like that
Cruel,chilly,and miserable
Lonely and dismal
Sirens came and went
EMS did their utmost
You just left without a regret
The hospital was waiting
Another moment for Heaven to wait
A new Angel with fluffy wings

Pulling away was needed because it was only a hug
what you needed another would have to provide
Not that kind of woman
Not what you made her out to be
She tried to tell you
Even wiped your tears
Held you until you stopped shaking

Vent if you will
Let somebody know that before you utter words you can't take back
It is a lot more than only words to some
Apologies seem difficult for you
Try harder
The energy in your field is so negative that it chokes souls
In one ear and out the other only goes so far in this case
Can't listen any longer
This time you may lose me and not even sure how many times that has been uttered
Toxic Tizzy or Tom there may no longer be any more moments for you to ruin the air around others

Nothing more or less
You don’t have to act it or become it
Just live it fully and impact fully
Let nobody tell you how it is done

Giving up is not an option

That said move on and go for it

Believe in what you say
Put it into action
Hit the pause button
Better still the delete button for those voices in your head
Fake it until you are sure
Take that file of smiles out if its hiding place in your drawer
Slap one on for good measure
Remember to be true to yourself even if you are not ready
You can never be sure but you can look the part

He watched something right before his eyes
Hard not to notice
Harder still to forget
He cant let go until it lets him
He has to put it to rest
Be rid if it no matter how horrible it is
Some get it embedded like DNA being used for the wrong reasons
There is nothing right about this or any other trauma
There are second chances to let yourself put it behind you
It takes time and great care to do so
If you need help just reach out for it

Go through it and be done
