Growing older, with memories on my mind.
Wishing I could have had more time to share,
With the women I have loved.

And my love life is so unjust.

There are too many books on love.

Surely I deserve a little piece of happiness too.

Rain fall, close the doors,
Keep us safe inside with the warmth.

Not many people can truly explain what they feel inside their head.


Curvaceous and ****;
Still I need to find out what hides beneath the skin.
On the outside everybody can see the beauty that I see,
But I want to know every part of you, completely.

My favourite dream.


Even in a daze, I can still picture your face;
Every day, I know I am moving the right way.
Without a doubt, I will never just walk away;
You make my Monday blues, turn into lazy Sunday’s.


Wish to see me and I will be there at your side;
Pray for me, when I have lost my way, from time to time.
When the sun is gone, I will kiss you goodnight;
You are my love, you are my muse and you are my morning sunshine.


If we are using bitter words, we will never advance;
I will speak a beautiful truth to you, if you give me the chance.

I can hear a lyre,
Singing behind the fire.
Liar, liar, pants on fire;
The Devil is a guitar hero and he lives down in the mire.


Music tells you what to think
And allows you to think for yourself at the same time.
Music allows me to say what I mean,
So this is why I write words that rhyme.


It's like splitting an atom;
What's yours becomes mine and I hope I blow a mind.
I had better write a song before the thought is gone,
Before I bid you goodbye with a peace sign.


As flames dance up and down in the mist,
A thought sparks into life.
Who is the demon?  The man or the myth?
Dancing in the bushes; dancing in the night.


Bushido fighter, samurai;
As time goes by I hear a tune.
Like a sword swiping through a jungle vine,
The words sink into my soul and wash away my pain and I am anew.

Fuse two hearts, create love;
Build yourselves a brighter future by speaking from your soul.
Eloquence is unnecessary; speak from the heart and it will be good.
This is your last chance, the last dance; do not just let them go.


Offer a sacrificial heart to the God’s of Love
And anything could happen.
Risk it all for the thrill of what could be and you could find someone.
We are all searching for happiness
And we all need a little bit of passion;
Take a chance before you don’t have another, soon they will be gone.


You are not alone in your desire to have them love you;
There are a billion possibilities,
So maybe you will not make a connection;
But if you do, then you will forever be linked and in tune.
So show your thoughts, in the only way you can;
Put into practice your desire and create it from your own notion.


Imagine what could become
And not what could go wrong.

Or they could leave you just feeling numb,
But to feel something other than regret,

Love is a lie


Love is a creation used to excuse a person’s mistakes.
Words of love are falsely used in a deceitful way.
You allow them to lie to you because of love again.
Love is a way out of a dead end broken truth.
Love has us all under its spell…today’s love is just like yesterday.


We are all entrapped by a word without meaning.
We are all the same and we are all blind to rational thinking.
We are all condemned to keep on believing.
Love is our punishment and love stops us leaving.


Love is a drug that can never keep us fully satisfied.
It feeds on us, it drains us and it makes us cry.
It leaves us in pieces every time we see love walking away
And the very next page of this book of love, life and lies,
We are back on our knee’s begging to be loved again.


Love can ruin the happiest of days.
Love cannot be trusted; love is a cage around our brain.
Love is a sentence, a memory; it comes and it goes.
Love is misery, love is sadness.
Love is all that I want and still not one part of it do I know.

Your faults are my own


We point the finger at others and know all their faults;
Yet we lack the foresight to see, that their faults are our own.
The bad things we see in them are our own negative points;
We tell them how to change their lives,
But we take help from no-one.


You do this wrong, you do that wrong.
Do we say it to them or us?
We hate the way they have no faith in us;
Yet we ourselves are unable to trust.
The things they do wrong,
Are only seen because we too are faulty;
We condemn their mistakes, yet we are equally guilty.


We should look deep in the mirror,
At the reflections of our being,
We tell them to open their eyes;
But it's us who are incapable of seeing.
We are faithless and anxious and we think we know it all;
Then we expect them to have faith, never give up and trust us.


Who are you to judge me,
When all your bad points are a hindrance?
The things that stop you being all you can be,
Will always leave you without guidance.
We are all equally trapped, asking for help, yet never listening;
So for once in your life, hear as you speak,
See what you are saying.


The advice we give them, is just what we have been told;
But because we are telling them, our warm words become cold.
Our intentions are good, but our way with words lets us down;
We expect them to heed our words, whilst we still act the clown.
Our advice falls on deaf ears,
Because we don't practice what we preach.
We have knowledge gained through experience;
But we have no God given right to teach.


So hear your own teachings, use actions not words;
Give them proof it can be done differently,
Show them only they can change their world.
To change the way that they feel
And the thoughts that they think;
Give up your own addictions first
And walk away from that drink.
You simply can't get them to change their life,
If all you do is argue and fight.
So pick up the pen and lay down the knife.

You see I’ve been smoking this stuff, all my adult life;
My memories useless.  What were we talking about?

Oh you’ll always be Mommies little baby to me.
Yeah but Mom, I’m older now and what will I tell my kids?
When they come ask Daddy, what were you like in the Naughties?


When you were our age, what games did you play?
What music did you listen to and who was your favorite?
What music did you love?  And was there anything you hated?
Because I’d like to be an angry teenager and become an anarchist!


Because it’s clear you don’t care
About me, because you can’t remember.
When is my birthday Mom?  
Er…  I know it’s in November.

Split Personalities Inside My Head


All the voices in my head,
Have now become my only friends.
The only ones who seem to care;
The only ones who knew me back then.


Lost alone with me, myself and I.
Hello, Bonjour, Guten tag and Hi.
They’re there for me when things aren't alright;
They’re there for me when I feel on cloud 9.


Technically mad, but never bored;
By all of them I am adored.
My head is full with the old and young;
They’re my friends, my family, my only loved ones.


They’re all so different, yet they’re all the same.
They’re all made up; they’re a part of my brain.
But they act so real, in the way I behave;
I live four different lives every day.


One is good and one is bad
And one I believe is a woman


And the final voice inside head,
Is the only one who speaks reason.
The only one who speaks the truth to me;
The only one who I can believe.


You see this final voice inside my head, I know is the real me.

Scared to be loved.


In your mirror I cannot see a place for me.
Inside your aura, I do not feel safe.
At your side I only feel that I need to leave,
Because I know one day you will go away.


Beneath your wings I am still getting burned.
I am suffocating in your arms, let me breathe.
With you at my side I should have been able to turn,
But my life is heading straight into a catastrophe.


As the buildings collapse and crash down all around us,
I am left to reflect on the end of our love.
As the hope disappears, I am only left alone with my empty wishes.

I can only be a plaster when you are in need of stitches.
Something permanent to heal what we are losing.

Milk the applause, savour the day;

Another band falls off the conveyor belt;
It’s time for you to be replaced, by another covers band.


Another wanna-bee, another piece of human trash;
Who simply follows the money.
In search of their star, in the music hall of fame.
Do you seriously think, you can last the pace?
And make another album that sells like your first?
You naïve fool, that’s what they call consumerism
And you’re definitely not, a new sensation.


You’re just another advertisement;
For their hit T.V. show, with the losers and the freaks.
Don’t you realize you’re only a star of car crash T.V.?

People these days, their words don’t mean a thing

Self-gratification, no matter what the price.


Beautiful people?  Not on the inside.
Only ugly to look at, are the ones in which you should confide.
Because vanity and self-interest,
Mean no-one can be your confidant.


Everything is for sale!  In fact we’re giving it away!
Gossip amongst friends, is today’s cheapest sale.
They told me not to tell, but I can’t keep this a secret.
When I tell you two this, you’re never going to believe it!


Well why would we want to tell anyone something so juicy?
Ok, but if they ask, you never heard it from me.

Parenthood.


My intimate incubator, for the forthcoming foetus;
Are you too, truly feeling this dream?
I’ll become a father and you a mom.
It’s really going to happen soon.


So let’s both cut down on the drinking and stop the drugs.
Find a new way of life and overcome,
Our addictions to the illusions.
This could be a whole new beginning.


Girls just want to have fun, but I have found a woman.
I have someone who wants the commitment
And feels truly safe in,
The knowledge I’m here for her, ‘til death do us part.
This woman is the only one, allowed to get near my heart.


Once upon a time, we were so young and carefree;
She loved to feel the breeze, between her knees.
The passionate rush she got, from ******* a stranger,
Has now passed thankfully; she has no need for another,
Because I am her only lover
And she’s my baby’s mother.


But I can still remember when we first met.
I asked how far are you willing to take this?
What can I not do and is the list only short?
What’s the magic word that says you’ve had too much?
What is the cutoff point?
And do you like to take risks?


We made passionate love, morning, noon and night;
Now we still make passionate love,
But have more than adolescent desire.
We have an understanding, of each other’s bodies;
We have the knowledge, to leave each other satisfied.


For we’ve both been there, for each other,
When we were suffering insufferable pain.
We had both reached the stage in our lives,
When we believed, we would never love again.
We both believed, we couldn’t be happy.
We both had the same desire; to one day have a family.


It was hard for us, to be truly open
And to truly love again after our hearts had been broken.
But we shall overcome, the hurt and the pain;
To rise up each morning, ready to face a new day.
For now we are parents, our world has changed;
Now our love can be shared, with our offspring,
Until the end of our days.

New world story


In this new world a story was told;
The story spoke of love and life and times to come and go.
It broke apart any thoughts of always being alone,
Because the idea of a new love was enough to repair my broken soul.


It’s a lover’s world and she smiles endlessly,
Because inside she knows all things in this world belong to her.
It’s not a man’s world anymore, the new world changes continuously;
I am ok living in her world, because I know her worth.


Piece by piece we used to seek a new solution,
But with time came the realization that things would work out ok.
Day by day we learn and gain new intuition,
As another nightfall becomes morning,
The sunshine lights up her face.


Through rose tinted glasses I have learned to change my ways;
No more living in bad memories of forgotten days.
I will seek her love for the rest of my life
And every nighttime shall end with a lovers embrace.

What can I say about the sponge to my head?
Well she is beautiful, even if she will not wear a dress;
That is he Emmeline Pankhurst right I guess,
But like I’ve always said,
Jess would look good in something silky and red.


She is not sure who she is going to be, yet,
But mark my words she is someone I will never forget.
You just need to talk to her and languish in her words.
When she leaves with my heart, she takes with her my breath.


Anything I can do, she can do also.
Our thoughts are mutual in so many degrees.
When she reappears, I am alive!  Wow!
It’s the glint in her eye, the way of her smile,
The way she spins me 360.
It’s the smoothness with which she glides through my mind.
It’s the ever-loving beauty I find when I hold her inside.


If I had to choose a word to describe only her,
I would need quite a few, because others are unworthy of my allure.
She is my black hole, she draws me towards,
And for her I would stand before any harmful sword.
With her I am in a meadow, dew washing away my sins;
With her Heavenly words, I am mesmerized and wallowing.
She is one I would never betray,
But she is also the only one with whom my true feelings I cannot say.


If I trained her to do my job in my stead,
She could do it so easily, for she is the best yet.
Many have come before her, but what she does she does with aplomb.
The way she stole my heart, blew me away like a bomb.
Nothing remained but my amazed face.
There is something perfect about her that I just cannot place.


She doesn’t yet know exactly what she does want,
But if she wanted I would like her to become my one.
I want to make her happy, because with only her I think I could.
There is a little romance inside my heart and with her it could be good.
The thought of holding her hand makes me smile.
I wish my feelings for her I didn’t have to deny,
But if I spoke my truth she would run a mile,
Because let’s face it, I’m just another guy.


I remember her hands, the way they change from day to day.
Once black nails to get my attention, quickly followed by blue.
The last time I saw this beaut,
I guess her fingers were painted ****,
But I cannot say **** without showing my truth to you.
Her smile does something to me; she is my joker,
The magic card, my face made for poker,
Will one day find its voice and speak…
Only joking, I cannot say what I desire,
So we will never be.

Deathbed


When we are old and youth is in their hands,
I will be with you; heed my plans,
For I have waited for a lifetime,
To sit with you inside the sunshine.


I have since long ago dreamed of your love.
My wife of all time, my future and past,
My present and my bride in the above.
The two of us shall be sat on the swinging bench,
As our children play with their children,
While others sing.
The music and laughter will be with me,
After I am taken away into the everlasting.


I have long since dreamed of a life-time love,
Yet too long has love been waiting to hug.
The love of my life, the twine that binds,
My hand in your hand throughout my life.
As I say my final goodbyes,
There is water in your eyes,
But do not cry, I had a life,
And as my daughters stand hand in hand with their husbands and wives,
And their children smile and wave me goodbye,
I wipe the tears from their eyes with a smile.


I tell them each I love you too,
Each and every one of you,
More than you will ever know;
But now is the time that I must go.


Upon this deathbed I lay with the love of my life.
Her head upon my chest, never ready to say goodbye.
I whisper you gave me all I could ever want,
So lift your head up and look into my eyes,
Before long I will be gone.

Bamboo shoots


I am at peace in a land of dreams.
The creatures of nightmare may scream,
But I am serene in my bamboo garden.
Waterfalls, wooden instruments, whistle their winding calls
And all attune are the birds of Eden.


I have never found love in this place of pure Earth,
And rockeries, but no broccoli please.
I only need pretty flowers to see,
For I am no vegetarian.
I am finding it hard to care again,
But here I sit with the peace within,
My garden.


The bonsai trees and fallen leaves,
And little streams which flows like dreams,
Forever winding in any direction
And at the end their resurrection.
Another dream is reborn once more,
To take me away to another world
And all is well as I stare into the bottom of an empty well.
Waiting for water,
Waiting for another story,
There is always more to tell to her,
But she is not here to know of her glory.


So I will speak, for I must…

I will tell in the hope that one day,

Where I once was blind, I now can see
And maybe you should pity me.
For a youth I am no longer,
For a man I have become.


Now I am much wiser and stronger than you could realize;
For I am now deafened,
To the distractions which keep you blind.
For my eyes have been opened
And fulfillment I can now find.


I was once like you, at the end of my childhood,
But now I have matured into adulthood
And no longer like a child, can I act.
I must act my age and become a wise man.


For the things a child craves,
Are merely trinkets dangled before us.
Now I see your gold and diamonds,
Are simply copper underneath.


And the things you lust after,
Are merely the first stepping stone;
Whilst I seek the waters edge and a release I have chosen.
For the choices I have made, have lead me to the other side,

Desperately clinging onto your stone.


But there I have been and through time found my feet;

Broken heart’s litter loveless streets;
The disheveled people are the only people left to meet.

By adultery, lies and hate.

Sell your tanks to the Salvation Army.
Jesus saves, but only on Sundays;
So bring us back redemption and a whole new saviour.


Kiss the light and ask it why,
It shimmers so, on her skin.
See the light that shines so bright,
Whenever I read Within.


My Wife I hope she will become;
For transparent to my eyes, she is now.
Unable to grasp her hand; what have I done?
My love is with her always, but she is gone away with the clouds.


My sunshine, my bright light, my guiding star,
Has disappeared and left me alone in the world and her heart has been taken so far.
I’m in love with you my dark light nightmare.

I’ve Seen The Future



I've known the truth, since the day my eyes were opened,
That this world is amazing, yet equally frightening.
Since I saw Michael Jackson, dancing on The Soul Train TV Show.
Since I saw E.T. die, because he couldn't phone home.
Since I saw Neil Armstrong, land on the moon.
Since I saw Uri Geller getting paid, to simply bend spoons.
The truth will set you free.  Your ignorance will blind you.
If you’re lost in the darkness, his light will guide you.



All my young life, I believed what I was shown,
Until my life scarred me and now I know.
This whole thing is an illusion, were just part of the plan;
But even if that’s true, I'm still a man,
Who can see such beauty, in such bitter sadness,
Who can't be happy, even when surrounded by happiness.
Experience teaches us things, we don't want to know;
But if you learn from your mistakes, you will know it's time to go.


My friend died of a heart attack,
Is there no way I can bring him back?
I want to learn immortality, so I don't end up like that;
But I don't want to live forever, for Heaven sounds quite a laugh.


It was written in a book, two thousand years ago.
The prophets spoke of things to come
And Jesus was the star of the show.
He sacrificed himself, to free us all from damnation;
But now were condemned to end the world.
There is gonna be a termination.


Einstein lead us to the bomb, that condemned all human beings;
For power leads you to be evil, there can be no happy ending.
The end of the world is nigh, they've been saying for years;

America is the same as Britain:

I think we should actually listen to The United Nations,
If we really want peace in our time.
Do what thou wilst, for we are clearly ignorant,
To anything except The Law of Lies.


The laws of life?  
The Law of the Jungle is our only Bible in this time.
It’s a shame we didn’t think of the cost,
Before we committed the crime.


Our life time is just the same as the others:

Then make yourself happy, by making them happy
And leave the pain to someone else.


The United Nations are the good guys;
They will save our world.
The USA and the UK
Cannot even see past their own borders.
If every other nation in the world joined the UN.
Would Britain and the USA say you’re all wrong…again?

I’ve never been one to believe in myself;

I’ve just sat around and lived in Hell;
Now it’s time I made it matter and did something else.

Because I have apathy for everything and I embrace the pain.

She eats away at me; I need myself to be,

Left for dead, going rotten.


Hell is all I have ever known and all I feel with you;
Break my mind to pass the time, because I have become unglued.

The Super Heroes of Rock!


There’s a little person named Gem, with a banjo in his hands;
But he’s too drunk to play.
There’s a guy with one arm and he’s slamming the drums
And I think his name is Dave.
Jenny plays the Bass, with a rash on her face
And she’s going to die today.


The lead guitarist (Jimmy) has no legs,
But he always tries his best.
But his lack of fingers and thumbs,
Is starting to become a pain
And the fact I can’t sing!
Well it doesn’t mean a thing,
Because we’re not even getting paid to play.
No we’re not, getting paid to play.


Because we’re the Super Heroes of Rock!
And we came to save the day.

When Kurt decided today was the day
And put a bullet hole in place of his face,

Future


Sentimental memories;
Dreams of yesterday.
Wishing for a better opportunity,
To somehow change our ways.


This is our life, our time, our day;
Seize it with both hands,
Because today will soon become a by-gone age
And you will not be given a second chance.


I recall the future, because history repeats itself;
We sit on our own hands and we have no soul left to sell.
Forward into the future, your destination is unknown;
Who are we that we could make a difference, when we are all alone?


The present does not exist, because now is always then;
The present has already gone to become the past.
Inside a split second, we are taken into the future once again
And everything we think we had, I guess we never had.

Who are you to think you can see further than they claim to?
A post-apocalyptic nuclear future;

Expectations


Struggling to be myself,
When they expect me to be something else.
I don’t want to change, find a new story to tell.
I could love you if you would just let me be myself.


Cannabis has killed my mind and my dreams;
I smoked it so that I could see,
But because I smoked it I have lost my every hope
And any memory of any of my dreams.


I find it hard to comprehend, all the stupid things I have ever said.
I try to cover up the dirt stains I have left, but they can still be seen.
Still they expect me to get up and out of bed;
Why should I try, when trying never did anything for me?


Old memories still linger in my eyes;
I can see them now, I can see that life.
I can see it all just floating away in a puff of smoke;
Ah the good old days sure were good, but I had to let them go.


I still have the same indifference, but something shifted.
Reality drifted and I was falling, when I should have been lifted.
Great expectations and hopes for a future,
Left to go to pieces; apathy left me laying in a stupor.


Now real life kicks in, the ash in tossed into the bin;
It’s the same old me on a different day,
But I don’t know where to begin.
I could tell you of now or of when I was a kid,
But they never expected anything from me then,
So why should I care about something that I never did?


No expectations, just instructions;
Self-destruction was my only way to function.
Brain malfunction, funny to me now;
I lost my way without direction,
But in my future I want to take a bow.


So I fall in line, I have done my time;
I have followed their rules and still this home is not mine.
Everybody expects me to try my best,
But I expect nothing more, than the least I have to give, my friends.
