Thrall


The cup has arrived, take my blood.
Fill it up with the good stuff.
Drink the wine, while I unwind these chains.
I have been trapped too long in this self-made cage.


Tear at the bones with perfect teeth.
Ground to a point; been grinding for weeks,
To get the right blade to cut my food with.
This hole I exist in just leaves me livid.


I want to scream in the middle of day-dreams,
But people will see me and never know,
That the empire is crumbling; all around me is dust.
I have given up on this castle of rust.


The armour no longer protects my soul.
The happiness is gone and I am feeling old
And demoralized, the eternal night,
Beckons me to join it, but I am made of pure light.


The claws had dragged me under their spell,
But now the spell is broken, so let me leave this Hell
And find my own way, a better way;
All else only fades away.

How I tamed the tiger


How I tamed the tiger that burns inside of me.
It was not a conscience quest to change,
Life just ripped it out for all to see.
I have only emptiness inside my chest
And all that is left to wait for is death.
This is my only recognizable form,
For human being has never been my norm.


I just don’t understand people.
I only know of loss and evil.
Those who claim to love, but don’t.
I could fall in love, but only if I helped them cheat and ignored my soul;
So I won’t.


Alone I remain, wishing for flames,
To once more spark inside my heart,
But the ignition switch is broken, like my art.
All is dark where light should be;
There is a tiny light which exists inside of me.


I cannot laugh at comedy, because I am so tragic.
I no longer believe in cupid’s magic.
I only believe in the inevitability of the end;
Happiness stolen by ex-girlfriends.
Take one soul, have an affair,
Repeat process without a care.

Love is stood over there,
And I am silent, unmoving, uncaring, and she is unaware.

Find happiness


There are so many things that are not as they should be,
That sometimes people think that everything is wrong.
I can only speak for myself, but I do still believe,
There is hope in many places, in many people, in many songs.


If you do have faith, then that is your choice.
I am faithful when I am in love.
I write for myself to give myself a voice.
My silence means I am busy working, writing my books.


A paragraph here, a couplet or two there.
There are so many words to be found everywhere,
That poetry has become like air.
It floats through the soul, never growing old,
And like life, it passes onto another.
It goes where it goes.
If it means nothing to you,
Perhaps you should choose some other wordsmith.
Another poet; another writer;
Or just say nothing, read nothing, do nothing.
Whatever makes you sing your own song is worth it.


Read the contents of the label if you do not speak the language.
Head to Milan or Naples, and absorb the culture,
Before going to Rome with your kids.
Feel free to roam before you see the Cascata,
Wherever they may flow.


Travel Europe before heading home,
And if you are still not settled when you return,
Pack your bags again and go all around the world,
In a one person boat, all alone.
Do whatever you need to do to find your inner peace.
You will find love wherever you may be,
If your heart is open to seeing new things.


If you are closed to human contact,
Then you will forever be taking a step back
And no forward thinking, future thinking thinker,
Will ever be attracted to that;
But if solitude is your desire,
Then stay alone, although the mountains will seem much higher.


If you are truly happy, you realise fortune is temporary.
I know I dream of one day raising a family.
We all have our dreams;
We all have needful things.
We wish for change,
But those who live in the moment, it seems,
Are eternally living their perfect day.


Life is not perfect and never will be,
But even if it is great and can only get worse,
At least it is not my misery.
You still have to work to improve it.
Alive in this state of man-made bliss,
Is a footstep away from catastrophe,
So do not wait for life to come and find you.
Find your own way to be happy.

Poetry is dead


We’ve had a good life together, but all things end.
I know I couldn’t be, but I tried to be your friend.
All the thoughts that I had in my mixed up head,
They are yours to keep now.  Poetry is dead.


Nothing left for you to criticize.
Watch me smile as you question my lies.
Give it time and the fire inside will die.
The light is fading, more and more, all the while.


Passion is gone, because love is a bore.
I believed more than you ever did, but no more.
The time has come, this love is done.
I can no longer run and catch the sun in my ***** hands anymore;
Because I am so bored and high flying birds do nothing but fall.


Standing before a ten foot brick wall,
With no will left to break through an imaginary door.
It does not exist, because I am not a kid;
I do not write it, so it does not exist.
I no longer open my mind to doors.
You walk through me like I used to matter, once.


Red light, stop sign, dead end view.
Words are done, give me a gun,
Are you sure this love is bullet proof?
What does a green and black cat in a dream mean?
I was at work at the electrical shop and all the while I was sleeping.
We were having a meeting and the cat sat on my lap
And while they talked and talked, the cat was suddenly gone,
And that was that…

Let it out to live


Head like a star sign, just tell it like it is.
Fancy persuasion; I am not one being you can convince.
I rule my own world, tiger by my side.
I will remain loved, even after the day that I die.
So let it be, let it be me, let it live, or say goodbye.


Morning sunbeam came and kissed me on the lips.
Still waiting for Sunday, for a better state of bliss.
I couldn’t help all the tears I made you cry.
You chose to be near me, so do not hate me for my lies.


Writing influence; fluent in the nonsensical.
I only tell you parts of my story to make sense of the magical.
I have pulled the trigger, not you’re stuck inside my head.
I give you my words and in return I take a breath.


Why rip me apart when I am already broken?
Care for me if you can, I cannot, but I am softly spoken.
Whisper me your secrets through a tin and a string.
This is the only way to make sure nobody is listening in.


Send me a love letter you copied off the internet.
Post me a picture of you and me in the ****, showing only the heads.
Question your answer to everything that you choose.
Life is your mystery, so it is best to keep away from me,
Otherwise I might fall in love with you
And then each of us would lose.

Contradictions hypocrite


There’s a ******* hole where my heart should be
And it’s killing me!  Just to be me.
I try to change and remove the pain,
But it’s a part of me now; my soul is stained.


I need to love, but I don’t want to talk.
I need you to love me, but who loves a dork?
I hate myself for needing your help,
So I won’t put you through this too, for this is my own Hell.


I am contradictions hypocrite,
And I am constantly hit by emotional baggage.
Put me out of my misery, please!
I just cannot manage,
To just find the tiniest speck of joy,
Or a reason to believe.
The fearful boy who wants to love,
But the glass will never ever be even half-full.
It’s life half-empty permanently;
Dead skies up above.


No ray of light shines down on me.
Just endless self-torture, no more pity;
I cannot take it anymore.
I cannot stand to tell you the truth, so I let you fall.

Honesty


Tell me your truths and I shall say I pass no judgment,
But we both know, I will feel something.
Ask me a question and I will answer it honestly.
If I am capable and you are faithful,
You can trust what I say to thee.


Turn on the light so you can see I’m not lying.
Turn off the light if you have faith in me.
Whisper your truths so no-one can overhear them;
Maybe you can find a little relief,
To get your burdens off your chest.
A problem halved can only aid its solution findings.
Listen to my truths carefully my friend.
I must speak them in two tones,
Hoping you are no longer blind.


Kiss my lips so you can feel my honesty;
Love me and speak of it, so you and I can become we.
Sleep next to me; I hope you feel safe beside me.
I close my eyes content; in you I truly believe.


Dream all you wish for
And one day they may come true.
My dreams are simple,
You and I, love, happy with you.
I hope you see reminders
Of our time together,
For if you do and you are happy,
It means we made it, we never severed.
We never had to cut the umbilical cord.
We help each other live our two lives in one world.


Who will lead and who will follow?
We can find out tomorrow.
At the moment we are content,
So we have no need to chase hollow,
Dreams of more, cravings, lusts.
At the moment we are not unhappy.
Let’s embrace this moment,
For right now we are us.

Revolution: Part Two.


William Blake saw a New World Order.
A revolution, a new way forward.
To feel is to exist and our feelings come before our thoughts;
But anarchy is illegal, you must follow the cardinal rules.


You need a God, to live your lives,
To make you believe, it will turn out alright;
To let you believe, what you think is right.
Well do what you must and release me from life.
Lay me down under the guillotine,
Then let me say goodbye to my wife.
I simply stare into the basket,
Before I float up to the light.


Sacrifice your life, to gain the freedom you should have;
Lay down your life, to make a stand.
Stand in front of the tanks, to stop the armies drones
And hurl the tyrant off of his throne.


Killed for free thinking, they say it's illegal;
Emotion will set you free, but were not allowed to feel.
So we must leave Paris and head for America,
The next big thing; the country of the future.


The beast at the door, must be stopped from entering,
The wolf at your tail will make you keep moving.
A time for a pilgrimage and an end to the Empire.
It's time to leave Europe and head to America.


Poetry is expression of thought,
So who are you to tell me I'm wrong?
Every man’s taste is different
And our tastes are not acquirable;
They’re our natural instincts, that are written in our souls.


The great romantics saw life as it should be.
A simpler place where we need not disagree.
Let man speak his mind; let his words become free.
Not silenced under dictatorship; it's not a cardinal sin.


Free thinkers, will lead to your destruction.
They simply won’t follow your every instruction.
The Parisians revolt, because the power has gone to your head;
So they burn down your world and leave you for dead.


Leave France behind, but don't dwell on the past.
Will you sell out?  Or think for yourself?
Write what is in your soul, don't be a cog in the system.
In America they will not sentence you to life in prison,
For writing your thoughts and going against the grain.
The revolution must begin; it is time for a change.


The stench of dead French filled the streets with blood.
Don't let their deaths be worthless; only we can free us.
You imprison yourself by accepting the norm:
The Guillotine, The Executioner, The orders from above.


The French revolution gave writers a voice.
Gave us freedom of speech; gave us freedom of choice.
Gave us freedom of expression and impressionist art.
To revolt is to begin again; to make a new start.


El Liberte, a statue of such a scale.
The light house in the distance; the direction in which to sail.
At last we are free; at last we are home.
Freedom of speech must become the norm.


For you to simply say, Wordsworth is worthless,
Is to simply admit your own ignorance.
To say the encyclopedia is down-right blasphemous,
Is to simply admit your own incompetence.
To execute a writer for saying what he thinks.
To condemn him to death, to execute him;
Is to show how wrong you are
And that a new leader is needed.
The revolutionaries knew the price,
It would take to get our freedom.

But Wordsworth’s 'Mariner' has stood the test of time
And even today, it's still a favorite of mine.

Revolution: Part one.


The first French King sentenced to death,
Must have a new execution invented;
So that this day shall be forever remembered.
The execution of your King, this invention of evil;
This is how he will finally meet his end and go to the Devil.


The man behind the mask, the executioner;
Will lead us to change to a new world order.


A declaration of civil war, to stop the oppression,
Has lead France to say, we must fight to stop the aggression.
We must be revolting and begin the revolution;
To put an end to the executions.


The fall of the guillotine, for a life time spent,
Writing the encyclopedia, which lead to his death.
There is no place for God, in an encyclopedia of Man;
This writing is illegal, you are blasphemous!  *******!
So the time has come, to take your last breath.
Remember when you see the guillotine... don't lose your head.


Until it's chopped off and ends up in the basket;
Another case of basket case madness.
No fiction necessary, for us to live here on Earth;
But this execution, you surely don't deserve.
So the poets leave France, before the revolution;
All of them heading, back to England.


These prison bars to entrap the young.
Taken prisoner for writing a book.
Follow their rules; free thinking is wrong.
The encyclopedia is evidence enough.


Man is born free and grows to imprison himself;
Then he must follow the orders, of somebody else.
Frances revolutionaries, said let it be, let it be;
But the nation is ruled, by the monarchy.


Imprisoned for what they think, the poets and the artists;
But there are no walls, in the prison inside their heads.
Begin the revolution and make us all classless,
Because they’re chained by society,
For the thoughts that they think.


A fight for equality, a modern day philosophy.
Man is born to think for himself; a revolution is on the way.
Liberty!  Liberation for one free state;
A jaded nation must make a change.


Revolution began, after the fall of the blade;
Now the guillotine of power will stop us being slaves.
Preaching revolution, we must free ourselves of these manacles.
Preaching liberation for the masses
And freedom for the individual.


This new guillotine, the machine of death,
Makes the severed head fall into the basket,
As they take your last breath;
But they can't take your words, from the books you have written.
So fight the power!
Revolution!  Revolution!


We must have a revolution, that is televised.
Che Guevara, Malcolm X, me, myself and I.
All of us willing to join the fight;
All of knowing our view is right.

The merest speck of light,

And capture and taste every sweet moment.
For they are few and far between,
But we remember them, as remarkable things.

They don't happen very often.

I don't like to think in riddles, because I am easily confused.


A nation of cynics, racists and drinkers,
Still wonder why, we can't think like the thinkers,
Of ancient Greece, like Plato and Socrates;
Whose minds were clearly, open and free.


Do you ever think in riddles? And turn time upon its head?
If the mocking bird becomes a killer,
Does it leave the innocent for dead?
Or does it simply do, as nature intended?
The strong will survive, the weaker one we shall eat.


Destroy your baby, to feed its sibling,
This is what, Mother Nature is saying,
To the blinded scholar, of nature’s laws;
To destroy is to give life, to your daughter or son.


Have you ever had to walk away, from Easy street?
Running away, to simply make a change.
Leaving behind, all of your lost memories;
But you'll be back one day and things will be the same.


What is soul? I don't know.
I think it's the inner being, of everyone.
The centre of your body, your mind and your heart;
The thing that makes you, decide what is art.


The thing that makes you, you and different from all others.
The thing that gives you rhythm, so just dance my brothers
And sisters around the world; become free inside.

Until death do us part


Until death do us part, that’s how it all starts.
Entwine two hearts and you will be dancing under stars.
Today we find smiles that stretch on for miles,
With family and friends all around us, dressed in style.
From top hats to sharp shoes and dresses covered in diamonds.
The ‘just married’ cans are rattling behind us,
As we drive away towards a tropical island.


And when we return from our honeymoon holiday,
The love is never ending; the memories never fade.
When we have spent the last two weeks under sunshine and in bed,
We look towards the future and talk about a life we haven’t lived yet.


Then the children are born and our enormous hearts grow;
Our love is always with them and they add value to our home.
New gifts are forever appearing and our future is written in vows.
Let’s hope this love is eternal and we remain side by side,
Even after we are sitting upon a cloud.

The Deceiver.


There’s a demon in the ceiling;
I can see it looking down on me.
It is in the walls now;
Who do I call now?
I can’t stop it;
Here it comes to **** me.


I sit in silence; I’m too frightened,
To make a sound or run away from it.


It starts to talk to me, but I can’t understand.
It gets angry and then the lamp goes bang!
The bulb explodes and the curtains fly open!
I’m so frightened, but my mouth is still trying to speak;
But I cannot speak,
Because the demons mind,
Seems to have control of mine.


Whispered whispers…
Sinister hisses.
The whole room flashes and I am taken away…


I don’t recognize this place;
I hear a scream of pain.
I see the future and I can see her face.
I beg for salvation, but no one is listening;
The knife is glistening and then her screams die out.


Whispered whispers…
I still hear them.
They are in my head now
And I can’t see a way out.


Darkness surrounds me;
I am guilty.
I never did it;
Diminished capacity.


In the mirror I see a figure;
It looks like me, but a demon lurks beneath the surface.
I am helpless; I don’t want to do this,
But still it comes with another sick request.


Number two now;
One of a few soon.
One day I will lose count;
The way I am losing my mind, inside this gloomy room.
Piece by piece,
It goes little by little.
Belief is fading now that I will ever escape this evil.


It’s in my mind now,
It’s in my life now.
I keep losing time and I awake to another cry.


Another midnight.
Another moon light.
Another dead body.
Not one witness in sight.


It has a taste now;
A taste for blood.
It carries on killing
And I cannot escape its evil clutch.


I speak to a preacher.
I tell him of my demon;
But I keep secret all the things that the demon has done.
Let me heal you;
Let me banish it.
He tried in vain to save this fallen son.


Now I am a beast man;
Something made by chance.
The preacher falls down dead
And the demon does a little dance.
It took an axe to stop him…
But someone had called the cops in.


Now I’m in prison and the demon just laughs at me.
I tried to tell you your soul was always mine.
You simply borrowed it from me
And now you are on borrowed time.
Your death is coming;
Time to start running.
Your soul is mine
And your body is useless to this being.


We are both in Hell now; me and the demon.
The fires are burning all around me
And the demon just sits there singing.


“He sold his soul for a little gold
And now he is doomed to spend eternity in the flames.

We are the burners of the future in our hands.
Singers for the condemned; the eternal believers at the bitter end.
So prey for salvation or a miracle my friend,
Because hope is needed now, more than ever, I guess.


We are drowning in lies as the fires rise
And your lie after lie leaves our lives on the line.
We are doomed to die alone with no-one at our side.
We accept this as given; so purify.


Your sins are forgiven, but never forgotten;
We are the children of Eden; the tears of God.
We love our lies; we are completely smitten.
We thought we ruled our planet, but now we are lost.


Our generation believed we were somehow different,
But our past has taught us how wrong we are.
We trust in our souls; we are completely committed.
Our fate has been sealed now we’ve gone too far.


You disappeared like the end of a rainbow;
No gold at the end, for the fallen children.
We need to know it all, but what do we really know?
We walked alongside God, but now we are The Fallen.

Wonderful


You to me are wonderful; you came along and rocked my world.
You made me see, that I could be, anything I wanted to be.
You made me chase all of my dreams;
You made them become a reality.


The day you crashed in to my world;
The same day you became my girl.
The day we went for a drink in the pub;
The day we got extremely drunk.
The day you met some of my friends;
The day you wrote off my Mercedes Benz.


I drove along like every other day
And there you were, I saw your face.
I could see that you were besotted with me;
As deep into your eyes I could see.
You made the whole world disappear
And then you hit my car and then it got hit in the rear.


I don't recall his protestations;
I don't recall our head on collision.
I don't recall feeling any pain;
I think you kissed it all away.
As you floated down into my life,
I found love at first sight.
When you bumped into me, I got quite a fright,
Because you came along and completely changed my life.


The two of us, are now dancing hand in hand,
To the muffled complaints of an angry man;
But he cannot bring bad karma, into our bubble.
He cannot make either of us worry.
But please could I have your insurance details
And carry you away to the nearest hospital?
For you are not hurt and neither am I;
But I'd like to get away from that angry guy.
So could you pretend to faint and I'll carry you home,

Terminator X


A cloud burst into life and rained down acid rain;
The skin peeled from the bodies of those who couldn’t be saved.
The future termination just waiting to send us to our graves,
Means our destiny is already written and we cannot be saved.


So call on Arnie to save or ruin the day,
Here he comes in a rush to redeem or bring rage.
Is he good, is he bad?  Let’s write another sequel,
Because we can’t get enough of this cyborg killing people.


Terminator 1, Sarah Connor is forced to face death head on.
This Terminator X is going to rip somebody’s face off
And Terminator 2 saw Arnie as a Hero,
For John Connor likes Guns ‘n’ Roses, look out here comes a truck.


Terminator 3 the machines are on the rise again,
The future is shown to us; it looks like humans live in pain.
We are obsolete; the robots now rule the entire world.
So let’s rebel and give ‘em Hell, one of Johns acolytes is a hot girl.


So stab your blade shaped arm through a chest
And hope you find the right Sarah Connor.
Dead bodies litter the doorsteps of random nests;
You know he won’t stop until he finds her.


Get Arnie some new clothes to cover his nakedness,
Use nitrogen oxide to put an end to this X-file government,
Conspiracy of robots, they are here to end our lives;
So crush their body and throw this terminator into the fire.

Our love is fading


Once upon a time we were so in love,
But then we discovered the true person before us.
We have realized the person in whom we had put our trust,
Was not the person we thought they were
And now we have had enough.


We can no longer put up with their bad habits;
We have decided the time has come to say, that’s it; I’ve had it!
No more of your selfish, annoying actions and other things.
I can no longer be with you,
Because of the way you always leave me feeling.


At the beginning of love, the sun shines daily,
But sooner or later the sun starts to fade.
The happiness we felt is not all that it could be,
Now our love is dying before our eyes; these are our dying days.


We both decided to stick it out and try to see if it worked,
But it never does, time and time again; it just becomes worse.
We desperately clung on hoping things would improve,
But inside, unfortunately for us, we both knew the truth.
We just can’t put up with them anymore,
So we decide to leave and love is no more, as we walk out of the door.


Our love is fading away and there is nothing we can do;
But still in our hearts we both know,
I love you.

No medication


No more medication, no more sedatives.
No more manufactured state of bliss,
Is needed here for I have found my peace.


If all you bring is negativity,
Then keep your thoughts away from me;
For your negativity can no longer hurt me.


For I feel nothing for you anymore,
Whilst feeling everything for her, the next girl.
She is naturally kind when she goes au naturel;
All I want from you is that you go to Hell.


There is nothing like TV to kick you in the teeth
And bring you down to your knees, down to reality.
Watching romantic comedy movies,
Is no longer possible for me.


Life is a roller-coaster with its ups and downs,
But you enjoy the ride sometimes, when love is in the air.


It all happens in an instant,
Blink and you will miss it.

Magic Stardust Nymphomaniac


This is simply my way of telling you,
My love for drugs has left me lost; but now I see through.
Deep into your soul I see in you,
All of the things I need for a love so true.
Unhappy not to have been here sooner; to aid you.


Give me love and take all of mine;
It belongs only to you, love of time.
Love of now and forever?  This is not my,
Future to know; maybe my destiny to behold.  I pray.


For in your eyes I see only love;
In your words I hear only trust.
Tempting, but scary; paranoia caused by drugs.
Temporary insanity, fades away to say goodbye to us.


If I lose you before I hold you, then I cannot just smile
And say she was just another girl, for I know myself to be a liar.
Set my soul on fire and burn all my hopes and dreams;
Sacrifice my trust to you I shall, if you would only beg it of me.


Complete devotion?  Are you ready?
Showing every possible emotion?  This is not easy.
But in you I see Heaven, so please tell me I belong to you;
Tell me your love belongs only to me and I shall always stay true.


I shall never need to leave, if you give me all I need;
I shall always need only you and a joint of ****.
My need for ****, is a part of me;
Like the funky *** beat,
My heart dances to when you are here to give me release.


It’s happy, it’s ecstatic, it’s jumping back flips in the sea;
Like a dolphin, swimming circles of celebration, or feeling ****.
My heart wants to be with yours, entwined in love and magic;
It has already been bruised and broken, its story is tragic.
But in you I see something, unlike any other;

To be cast away or saved for another day.

Family of friends


So love, what’s the drug?
Smoke it, poke it, **** on da blunt?
Inhale, breath out, inhale, party-party.
That’s how all this ****** started!


Inhale, breath out, inhale.  Stop it!

Hi I’m high, what?  You’re my wife?
And we’re in an ambulance doing 95,
Because your waters broke, when I was having a ****?
Yo stop the van!  We all need to just chill out.


Yo little baby, I hope you can hear me!
Because this world is scary, stay there inside Mummy.
You don’t want to come out here in the big bad world,
They will make you eat sandwiches and go to school.


Stay there for a while, until we get to hospital,
Then me and your Mom
Are going to have our greatest moment of love.
A second in time to remember for the rest of our lives.
I can’t repeat what she said,
But it translates into I’m your loving wife.


Don’t hold her hand!  No, don’t do it!..
Too late, she’s got him now; listen out for when she breaks him.
Crushed my hand she did and blamed me for all of it.
How was I meant to know she was going to end up pregnant?


Nah, not me, I could never do that…
9 months later…Hi  Dad.


So the little dude was born and he came out shining,
Then his sister was born and we kept rolling up and on.
Then another sister for the little dude and his sister;
Then a dude, then a sister, then another son.


I lost count after the first three; how many was it?
Somewhere between 1 and a hundred kids?
No woman could possibly be capable of such a feat.
I didn’t marry just any woman;
I married the woman of my dreams.


In your dreams anything is possible,
So why can the two of us not just live up here in our castle?
With a tribe of people we call our family,
Our friends, our associates, our family; our loved ones.
So drink with them, your family of friends,
For they will love you until the bitter end.

Discrimination


Knowledge is power, know your history;
Study his story or her story.
Whichever you favour, to choose your reaction;
For illumination, learn about the history of your nation.
For history repeats itself,
So make a change, to help yourself.


Learn what made you, the person you are.
Know your roots, before planting your seed,
Don't let your mistakes, line your history.
Affirmative action will set you free, to ignore the bigotry.


The Afro-American struggle has similarities with your own;
Surely you too, have been persecuted by someone.
Sure maybe on a different scale,
But still persecuted, like the feminist females.


Still treated differently
Because of their thoughts of you.  
Their opinion of how you look,
Or what they see you do.
Surely they've closed the door to you too?
And sent you away,
Before hearing your words?


Simply because of the way,
You are perceived to be.
It may have even lead you,
To question the person they see.
They judge you with their power,
Without even knowing you;
But even Einstein looked stupid,
With his mad scientist hairdo.


So follow what you believe, you can really do,
Don't quit because they say,
You can't do the things you wish to.
Prove them wrong, prove yourself right.
Never let them overcome your struggle,
Because nothing good comes easy,
There is always a price.
So is it worth the fight?


The hardest fight you'll have
Is with the demons inside you,
But when you've conquered your inner demons,
Nothing in this world will be able to stop you.

It’s time for you to blossom and become a woman.

Taste the finest foods, that are foreign to your tongue;

Attraction


I wrote you this poem, to share with you my feelings;
To tell you how I feel, to say what I've been thinking.
To open my heart, without fear of rejection;
With a hope in my soul, that you were truly listening.


Since the first time I saw you, at that house in that skirt;
I wished I could give you, what I felt you deserve.
But those things I can't afford, your wounds I cannot heal;
I can only share with you, the way that I feel.


Your smile shows your beauty, like a bright neon light;
Your radiance illuminates, even the darkest of nights.
You laugh at simple things, to simply show me your smile;
You make me believe, all the pain is worthwhile.
It teaches us to become, greater than we once were;
To go back and change our mistakes, it teaches us to learn.


I don't know you, yet I like you and I hope you like me.
I believe I could get from you, all that I need.
Compassion and love and a little understanding;
To repair this broken heart, to start again and to begin.
A new chapter in this book, we call love, life and death;
You make my heart skip a beat, as you take away my breath.


But with love, lust and attraction,
Comes a world of confusion.
Are these mixed signals that I'm seeing?
Could you help me to tune in?
To the way that you feel about me,
Without hurting my soul?
If you don't feel the same;
Then I'll leave you alone.


But I can't live another day,
Without showing you how I feel.
I must know what the future holds,
If it would help then I would kneel
And pray to a God, I believe does not exist.
Ask for some sort of sign and maybe a little kiss.
From this woman stood before me,
With all manner of paths to follow;
To show me where to go and what will happen tomorrow.


Will I awake, to another missed opportunity?
Or will she call me at home, just to say hello to me?
The future is uncertain, but my feelings for her are real;
She could be the one I've waited for, for twenty five years.


I have already thought, of fifty reasons why it cannot happen;
But the reply to each reason is to just keep on dreaming.
Maybe this dream will come true and she will feel the same way;
She will want to give it a try.  She'll go out with me today.


One boy meets one girl and they make a connection;
They both feel the same way, so go out for a drink.
One day to show my good points and not scare her with the bad;
One chance to impress her, I must play my best hand.
They smile all night long and laugh through the awkward silences;
They finish the night, with the tenderest of kisses.


I'll call you tomorrow; we should do this again.
I've had a great night tonight, so I'll pick you up at seven.
We'll go to that restaurant and eat the finest cuisine;
Is this foolishness that I speak, or is it a dream?
We could go see a movie first and later drink at the pub;
Then who knows what could happen,
Maybe one day, we could fall in love.


But don't get ahead of yourself, take things one step at a time;
Get to know each other first, with a bottle of wine.
Then fall asleep on the sofa, laying in each others arms;
Then wake up to the alarm and watch the new days rising sun.

Rapid Eye Movement, after the darkness;
At last you have finally got to sleep.
Your own private show, with no popcorn eating fool sat beside us.
It’s time for a film…they call it a dream.


A bright white light shines over in the distance;
Maybe this will be a premonition,
Or maybe a long distant memory, that you have forgotten;
Or maybe a nightmare, that you have tried in vain to keep hidden.


So wish me away, to a far-away place;
A land of hopeful stories, with a sunshine landscape.
A place where magical animals roam free
And you are free to be at peace.
A place full of wishes; a place full of dreams.


I dream of a world, full of beautiful people,
Who are righteous and interesting and there is no evil.
I have no need, for a nightmare tonight;
I need sunshine and to dream, of a happy life.

Inside my heart forever more


I want to have you inside my life.
I want to feel you; I can tell no lie.
I want you on the inside; these feelings I cannot hide.
Without you to love me, I will surely die.  


I want you inside me, holding me tight;
I want your love to give birth to my life.
I need to love you so I can feel your light;
I want to feel you inside.


If I have your love, I can keep you inside of me;
If I have you to love, I can forever become the person I should be.
If I can feel you on the inside,
Then I can feel your empathy.


I want to trap you inside my heart;
I want to hold you close.
I want to have you inside my heart forever more;
I cannot let you go


Inside I will keep you and inside I shall feel;
The love that you shall give me will forever remain real.

Inside my heart


You are so beautiful to me,
So I need to show you, you are inside my heart.
If everyone else disappeared and I stood here blindly,
Still I would confess my faith for you and show you my art.


I have loved you in a former life
And I will love you in the next.
I love you in this life too;
I love you with my every breath.


There ain't nothing I could ever say,
To make you change your mind;
But maybe with a change of heart,
You could one day become mine.


In the darkest nights I see your smile;
Shining ahead of me, lighting up my life.
Throwing quick glances in your direction;
Trying hard to disguise the look in my eyes,
When I look into your eyes and I see perfection.


Finding beauty inside darkness;
Thinking of how to make her mine.
You're pretty beautiful in my eyes
And what others cannot see, I hold deep inside.
She looks a study of thoughts inside those eyes of hers;
She doesn't know that I have seen her, as she comes and she goes.
Dark paint around the eyes makes me love what I see;
I want you to notice me, because your eyes have enchanted my soul.


Words I cannot speak, for my thoughts I must hide;
But maybe I can show you in another way.
I leap to my feet and lay a rose before you with pride;
Please come with me on this adventure and I shall leave you amazed.

Heavenly beings.


Eternal in Heaven.
The day is warm, but the air is cool,
As I sit here watching an angel, who is sat upon a toadstool.
She plays the harp and whispers a song
And all around, children and their families are sat listening in silence.
They are loved; each and every one.


She is beauty in this place of peace;
Her blonde hair gently blows in the breeze.
Blue butterflies hover all around her.
The sun is shining on us all as she plays her harp
And softly she sings her words into the air.


Tiny gnomes march past and the children glance up and smile,
At the unicorn that accompanies the gnomes, as they walk on by.
They are heading off to see God and the angels inside;
While we sit here on the outside, in the morning light.


I decide to go with them and leave the music behind;
I have a job to do, so I must do it, but I can do it in my own time.
You see, I am a poet and this allows me to be free,
Of those things which hold other people trapped;
Those things like obligations and duty.

Accept your fate


What time is this?
What age of man?
My body feels so broken.
What day is it?
What place is this?
I’ve nothing left to try; I have done all I could.


Who knows what will become of my life?
When I am done in, will my words remain unspoken?
We all become our mother’s daughter,
Or we become our father’s son.


As beauty fades, we seek the shade;
The sunshine is no longer attractive.
In modern times, there is money to be made,
In anything, if we are not too distracted.


The hopes of youth are not often followed through;
Such dreams are fanciful.
If you became the same as you had wished for in youth;
Would you still be so grateful?


Such ambitions are usually far-fetched;
Only realistic aims are achieved.
The fountain of youth is wasted on you;
Accept your fate and leave the next generation to grieve.


Age is just a number and your number is up.
You have lived a long and interesting life, so embrace the end.
Time is continuous;
We are not.
On this you can depend.

Young and famous


Yeah!  We’re young and we are famous!
We’ve got money and we can love and laugh.
Yeah!  We’re young and famous!
Everyone knows us and they all want our autograph.
Yeah! We’re young and we are famous!
We are super stars who hang out in the famous bars.
Yeah! We’re young and we are famous!
We are on the T.V. and we drive fast cars.


They all want us and they all want to be us.
We have so many friends and an endless amount of love.
Happy every day and no day is ever the same;
You wish you could have my life but I would never throw this away.


I guess it beats working for a living.
All my life on screen and we are winning!
Fame and fortune; surrounded by angels and stars.
We used to see celebrities on the magazines, now that is what we are.


We’re touring the States and every other place;
We are globetrotters; we are young and we are famous!  
They all know my name
And they all want my fame.
My face is everywhere; I have a stylist for my hair
And a fashion designer gives me clothes for free to wear.


We will live forever!  Under the spotlight.
We party hard from morning, straight through to the end of the night.
Yeah, we have made it and we’re getting paid to say things;
We love our lives and this dream will never end…
We are able to buy everything.


Who needs a normal job?
I’ve got the best one.
I’m young and I am famous!

The end of this beautiful life.


Holding on to the edge of the world
And we are all about to lose our grip!  
Wishing I could have been anywhere else!
When all they told us never cured my fear!


I've been told that this is the beginning of life,
But everything is just not what it seems…
All I wanted was a love to be strong,
But I can never learn how to forgive!


Summer dies and the sun no longer shines,
In this little town I don't call my home.
I've been told that the good will out,
But I can't even stand up, to stand alone!


Feelings change but the day is the same
And I guess that's why nothing will ever change!
All along I knew that they were all wrong,
But I could never find a beautiful way!


Bitter lies are all I have ever heard
And now I never know who I can trust!
In this life we are given just one chance,
But I could never raise a smile to the sun!


Blind my eyes, give me cancerous bones,
It's just another Devil's cunning trick.
They keep on saying that things will get better,
But I have seen so much that I can no longer believe!  


Where is the hope, of which they spoke?
Another promise broken and another disease.  
All that they did never affected me,
It just left a black hole in place of my soul!
In these days of having everything we crave,
Why can I not just get a little hope?


At the end can we stop pretending,
That the better times are up ahead?
I’ve seen you all and I will watch your planet crumble
And I will leave this place to burn and have no regrets!
If all we are is just a dying breed
And we are underneath a dying star!
Why can’t we do what we know we must do?
I guess our greed will leave us all dead in the end!


Humanity, where is the humanity?
We have no reason to carry on.
Our times has come, under a dying sun
And soon we will all just be gone!


Beautiful horizon I see you fading away
And all that’s left is a stump they used to call an oak.
If we can’t stop then what will become of this place?
The pollution mask will not protect you from their smoke.


It’s the end of a beautiful world
And it’s a place I do not even recognize!
It’s evolution and the beginning of a species reborn,
Because in the end all we have left to do is die!

Sunbeam


As the lightning strikes, I close my eyes again;
I wish for the clouds to part so I can feel the sun shine.
When the darkness fades, I let my sad mood drift away;
As I raise my head to look up, there is no more rain
And everything is alright.


No more cold winds blowing through my bones;
No more dark nights, no more frightening times, no more endless miles.
A change of heart has appeared
And I have received a blessing of the soul;
I can walk amongst the strangers once more and embrace their smiles.


Out into the yonder, in search of a different future to my fate;
This life is no longer on rails and it has only just begun.
Where once I was a passenger, who was afraid of change,
I am becoming a better person and embracing all that is to come.


Breaking from the chains of my own history, fighting for this chance;
I burst from my shell and dive into a book.
Knowledge is power and if this is my last hope and all I have,
Then I will grab the stars from the sky
And turn them into diamonds, to give to you, to replace what they took.


What matters is not always what we want;
Sometimes we are not happy to settle for what we have.
But desire is the ignition to a big bang called love;
If confession is good for the soul, then speak aloud
And never let that, just be that.


Let the hurricane come and blow its wind of change;
No tsunami can change my mind in these times of hope.
If the ground cracks beneath my feet, I will grow wings and fly away;
Because there is no disaster that could stop me telling you all I know.


The world can stop spinning and the moon can fall from the sky,
But I have a sun beam for a soul now, so I can illuminate the night.

Still we believe


Smoking hot; I’ve had a thought and now it is lost.
Insanity clouds clarity and we lose all we have;
Too soon it is gone.
Money can’t buy love; it is not for sale in any shop.
Jewellery can buy your way into a heart,
But you cannot keep love in a box.


Love has many messengers that spread the love around;
When you see someone in love, you too want to be found.
You wish someone would come along and raise you up from the ground;
But arrogance is attractive, so we are forever let down.


Delusions of love along the highway to Hell;
Entrapped by the witches, under a love spell.
Family fortunes are not only tangible;
They are spiritual as well.


Drop dead gorgeous, can only come between us;
A quest to be faithful is easily failed and tears are too easily shed.
Words left unspoken, promises broken; the sacrifice of love.
At the end of the day, love fades away and we have nothing left.


No jewellery box, nothing on the box;
Tell the tale to anyone who will listen, as to how love was lost.

The singer can sing a song, but no words can heal us now.


A kiss goodnight on a doorstep;
No kiss from a lover when it is time to say goodbye.
A last minute dash to save a love;
Without love there is nothing else to do but cry.


So say what you want, for if you don’t then you deserve nothing.
Love will hurt you,
Love will break your pretty little heart…

And still here we stand, firmly believing.

Reason


I’ve got a heart that is made from crystal;
I find diamonds behind your eyes
And if there is no way that I am losing you,
Then I guess I’ll be doing alright.


You wear a black tiara upon your head
And you have Cupids arrow stuck inside your mind.
I hope he sent you here to comfort me,
Because I need you to kiss me tonight.


If there is nothing left to lose, then give me hope or something;
All I ask of you is that you send me a sign.
If we lose all we have and I never get to see you again,
I know the angels will be cursing our luck, because of our plight.


Up there in Heaven they decided to put us together

If only we could make love last until the end of time,
We could be so happy with each other under these stars.

No Future


No future, no future;
There’s no future for us to look forward to.

Live your life like a Shakespeare tragedy;
Romeo and Juliet, staring death in the eyes.
Knowing their love is doomed and that there is no remedy;
The time has come for the world to say goodbye.


A black hole portent in a humanity dream, is showing us our future;
Our world will be swallowed because of our past.
In our present state, we are destined to failure;
There is nothing left to take and we cannot give it back.


Love or hate, feelings are forever changing.
All we can sing is, there is no tomorrow.
The end is nigh, those words are still ringing;
All we ever had they took from us and now we are all left without hope.
