The Unknown May 2017
If only I could put
cold hands
to the sides of your face
convince that the sky's
okay
that the tear
in the curtain
isn't there anymore
that the taste of this
maternal mango
a little too sweet
so deep
it's where you'll find
what you're looking for
meaning
comfort
avocados and thick clouds
If only I could show you
how to do what you're told
That conformity
is not weakness
listen
tell your mama
when you're coming home

Tell mama,
I'll be alright,
I'll do my best,
Keep my eye on the prize,

Tell mama,
I'll never let go,
Even when no one is there,
I'll do it on my own,

Tell mama,
I still dream the dream,
I won't let anything
come in between,

Tell mama,
To be proud and happy as she can be,
Tell mama,
I still got some fight in me,

I bought a cow
Purchased her with but words
She works for me now
Grab her by the teats I need
Her drink to live
I swallow milk, keeps me strong
Despite this relationship
all wrong, that she provides
green needs
It's all I want
I used to have a cat, cute
andro-trans boy alien
He ****** my ****
Swallowed *** and ****** me raw
Walls fall apart
Every new best thing sinks and stinks
Under the barn,
I bought a barn
Under which the missing bodies compost
Brain stem. Bzz bzzt.
Cereal and milk.

Hey mama,
Just keep it real,
No need for a fake persona,
It doesn't give a sudden rush to me,

Hey mama,
I'm all for love,
No need to pull a fast one,
You got all that make me curve,

Hey mama,
I've always been proud,
To be yo friend, heart and partner,
One to hold my ground,

Hey mama,
Just keep it real,
You'll always be my true lover,
Stand by me and hold still,
Mama Kamuma dances the old dance steps
She dances the dance of the ancestor gods
and beneath her the Earth's drum beat
a rumble of mountains and rocks
the force of rivers, mudslides, and avalanches
Kamuma dances the Earth Mother dance
Kamuma dances the Earth alive

Mama Africa,

She's a blessing to mankind,

Her soil is fertile and lush,

Her skies are forever sunny and blue,

Underneath the soil lies minerals still yet to be touched.

She has worked for her children, oh, if only they knew!.

Blessed to be born in the bossom of mama Africa,

Cursed!, we allow her to waste and wither

She cries tears of blood, as she watches her children slaughter their brethren for selfish gain

When would we Learn, children of Africa!

When will we learn, we are one Africa!.

                                                                    -wolf
Gently touch her, gently care,
For the day may come — swiftly when
That endless cruel knocking
on doors bolted from the inside
Dies down and turns into
gray silence.

She, irksome as it is,
goes round and round in circles
Looking for the missing pair
She wears the other one, anyway,
And sits down in grief.

She says, “I want to go home.
Let me go home.”
“Mama, you are home,” you answer.
Vexation rears its ugly head
And you force each horn,
one at a time, to recede:
To vanish from sight.

Then gaining composure you say:
“Mama, let’s pray.”
God hears, and you are healed. Set free.
Instantly.
Of the agony of bearing about
in your own body
The weight of selfishness
And sin
And sheer ignorance of
what it feels like
To have Time ****** away Memory
From you and those you love.

The stark feebleness of this
bent, white creature
With veined hands and bony feet
Reminds you of your own
Utter helplessness.
Mortality.

You had never seen a babe more beautiful than I
Your first
the little round head covered in curls
blessed your eyes with wonder
But your loving heart was weak
and cracked
As a mother's roses bloomed
Your demons picked up prunes
to cut them back
for love was a currency you lacked
First child
First daughter
An experiment in parenting
It's always hard to be the First
but I never doubted Papa's love
His heart was always strong enough
and helped build up the walls that you destroyed
I hate thinking negatively about my mom, but my struggle to be free in all areas of my life must necessarily include a long, hard battle to reverse every way my Mom tried through all the years to mold me into something that is not me. I want to be free. I will be free. She really is a wonderful woman, and she brought me up very well, but I can't settle for less than everything God made me to be, so here's to a series of poems on my mommy issues

Genetically. Modified. Organism.
We do a lot o'talkin
And a lotta ppl mad at that name.
But I got dipped in the water to proclaim,
Im a GMO.
The fall of man didnt hold the power to tie me down no mo
My descension simultaneously displayed the ascension of my soul
My eyes glow with the reflection of my heavenly father who transcended from ***** feet with blistered soles
Ive been genetically modified to not see the world as which we know
We're living in the fog worshipping the money that we grow
We dont follow the narrow road
We dont love ourselves no mo.
Spent too much time bein broke
Caught a break, bought a whip
Bought some jays, bought some rims
But gettin towed
Whole house repoed
Iced out, chrome.
gold.
Investments? zero
We need new heroes

Drank the lies that ***** whipped into our minds while we were bleedin on his ***
Breaking earth and pulling weeds
We gluin weaves like, dawg. Where my edges go?
Now you tryna train yo naps cause everybody goin au natural
But you STILL mad cause yo curl pattern dont show that 2 percent of Navajo.
Changed yo hair but didnt change yo thinkin tho
Too long that permed subconscious sinkin through yo follicles
Mother earth dun been pulled harder than those edges
Act like you got some self-respect, go outside and clip those hedges
But her roots dug up
The seeds we sew
Aint enough to feed the whole
The rich, THEY bite the hand that feeds
But their stomachs; still on swole?
People like to get online and fuss,
Stop the GMOs!
Following the likes and living in fear sgonna leave the po--
HUNGRY. ..and po
I mean, what is science, fo?!
With climate change, and the persistent depletion of arable land, where yo seed gone go?
How yo plants gone grow?
Hopefully that won't have to be the case but I get the feelin
Mama nature's feelinnn
So'...

Shoot, Seasons dont know which way to flow
Cause we're walkin down the street throwin trash all on her flo
Like we aint neva been to anybody house befo.
Fillin it up wit smoke blottin out the sunlight
Making her plants choke.
Now the clouds broke.
Cryin acid rain and now your drinkin waters soaked

Im not tryna throw shade.
Im not half as deep as the aformentioned might denote
I aint gon lie
I dont
STAY.

woke .
I dont do my research on every clever quote
That I post
Hey, Im the FIRST one to let you know that I dont know.
But when I DO know
Aaaand I know fasho
And I hear somebody like, yeah this and that and so and so...talkin OUTside they ear. HOLE?!
