Because of wound, I learned to be strong...
Because of wound, I learned to be able to forgive...
Because of wound, I learned to love pain and imperfection...
   Because....
Every pain gives a lesson...
And every lesson change a person...
Whatever comes, let it come...
What stays, let it stay...
What goes, let it go....

Darling child,
there is nothing I can give to you
except for the fear that was placed in me
a long time ago
once when I crowed loudly as a youth
then was bludgeoned with words
lessons meant to cage and keep me
and my ribcage still houses that fear
however, you should be glad to know
that my love for you now speaks louder.

A heart is like a piece of parchment,
Being on the receiving end
Of a barbed word or
Spiteful action,
Crumples up the paper.
No matter how much you smooth it out,
It can never be the same again,
And each crease will be a reminder, a scar,
Of the pain and torment you went through.
It is your choice whether the scar causes further pain,
Repeating the trauma you went through over and over in your mind’s eye,
Or you see them as life’s rich tapestry,
A sign of your strength
An indicator of who you are,
A lesson learned.

I heard he broke your heart again
So now you're gonna come see me
I've gone and I've grabbed a pen
And I've gone and made some tea
Let's start from scratch
Reveal
How you got attached
Now I have a thought
See how you've been taught
To love the good in all
That is your downfall
You must be harsher now
Learn to let them squirm
Let them take a turn
Before you take the leap
Take a piece of yourself to keep

Ahead with everyone else, you felt happy
Like the final lap of the race, feeling like you’re free
Then you thought to yourself Hey, I’m going to win!
Expected and believed that others will be left in bin

You slowed to run, thinking they couldn’t catch up
Then a moment passed, someone just nabbed the title to the top
It *****, but it’s your fault in the first place
Thinking high on the momentary feeling of trouncing their pace

Always remember that expectations give you a false perception
Overwhelmed by the thought of overcoming and anticipation
Thinking you’ll win, you’ve let your guard down
Ignoring the fact that it’s not yet over in vying for the crown

Even with hard work and being passionately determined won’t cut it
If your goal is to win whatever it takes as long as you see it fit
While you may scowl for second, the guy in third may even laugh
At the fact that he may not be the best, but he won and that’s enough

we're taught the dangers of drugs, told that
"it only takes one."
one drink, one hit, one choice,
as though it's the single poisonous flower out of a beautiful bouquet.

given the choice between a living rose with thorns or
an entire artificial arrangement,
the risk of bleeding will outweigh the everlasting disappointment of the fabricated beauty
every
single
time.

Iearnt to focus my camera
to take a clear photograph
of the beauty this world is
endowed with
As l walked on an endless
road,
a mirage could be seen
from a far
My thirst grew and l knew
l was closer to sipping from
a stream
l was wrong
not everything you see is
what they are
Toughest lesson of my life

I dwell in this vast world.
Seeing loved one's passing through life.
Believe that my heart can soar above heaven.
Believed that my heart transcend heaven,
Yanking the soul of my people away,
Place them back on earth.
If my heart still lingers on earth,
How could I soar nine heavens above?
If my heart is above heaven,
Why would my heart desire mortal dust below?
Dust to dust, mortal dies,
let begone bygone, cleaning the dust off myself.
