"Why me?" You ask,
never the first, I think the last

I recklessly let my heart lose itself,
to the mere of unending stops
I wonder where my mind would guide my fortune
are they meeting, once and for all?

"It's our winding path" I answered.

2021 first poetry I say
xavier thomas Jan 2021
I could tell you multiple stories of jealous people who tried to steal my light,
And fail cause they had no self-control over their own life

I could tell you about the time, I was a kid & almost got shot
While mom was calling my name to come home, right up the block

I could tell you, one by one, how I met each girl & thought I had a potential wife
But one by one, they showed me that was a lie

I could show you how hard life is right now, living as a black man
But if I did, I bet you that you still wouldn’t understand

I literally cried over a person,
Who was so insecure about himself,
I created images in my head,
That didn´t even exist,
I found him perfect,
While he wasn´t perfect,
I lowered myself,
While, I am as worthy as him,
I wandered in my own troubles,
While he had his,
I disowned from my capabilities,
While he wasn´t capable himself
You wander yourself into seasons of depression, you forget your worth, because someone disowned you. You though you weren´t enough, good enough to be loved by that person while you were the one with the biggest heart and the biggest love to give and that person wasn´t ready himself. Out of this event, I learned to love and respect myself, love myself no matter what happens. You are not unworthy of love when someone decides to leave.  You are your own person and you don´t need any validation of someone else. Wait until you find the person that respects u as much as you respect the other. Meanwhile love yourself, it´s worth it<3.

Happy holiday you guys,

Much love<333
Hopeful Soul Dec 2020
A piece of your heart
Goes somewhere very far
You try to hold on
But the wind is too strong

It climbs over mountains
And swims across seas
It travels the world
Looking for a special destiny

At times it loses hope
At times it loses faith
Still it keeps going
For somewhere between that there is a big dream

How far will it go?
How long will it take?
It remains a mystery
But as long as it keeps searching
One day, it will fit in his place

Where only fields of mud i ever got to play in 90's,
the clock started ticking to the next phase;
20th Century-
Moving around,
i was spinning on the new MARIGO-ROUND
and when i jumped out i saw the crowd;
comming closer,
rushing on the same swing i was hunged on,
saw them spiral on the same game i was over from.
"NOW"
Iam spinning on the new dial of the century's game,
seeing everybody is going insane in doing everything to win their lane.
Its good afterall,
Its the 21st century and iam not licking it at all.
lets see what happen ahead in the next year 2021.
LOVE PEACE LIFE.
Abner Ros Nov 2020
The pail hurriedly fills to its brim
From a gushing river, pure and deep.
Unsullied by the chrysanthemums and lilies
Which encircle the babbling brook.

‘Almost full!’ proclaims the Lark
Perched atop an aged oak,
As the wet trickles down the bail,
‘Soon, soon, soon’ he sings his song.

Down flutters the Owl with a hoot,
‘What say you, Lark?’
‘With your songs so sweet and pail bursting,’
Feathered talons grasp the neighbouring birch.

The tinkling warble resumes,
‘Not yet full!’ the Lark weeps,
In a melodic trill.
‘Still. More must be filled.’

Amidst the river stones and collapsed trunks,
The pail sits, engulfed in the serene.
O'er the vessel the Owl hovers,
As talons clutch the sopping bail.

Suddenly, the jaws separate, delivering a soft hoot;
‘To be bursting is no more complete than to be hollow’,
Warns the venerable Owl with its warm,
Serrated feathers surrounding its pale face.

‘Well, when shall I quit?’ asks the Lark in a daze,
Raising its beak to the Heavens.

‘You shan’t quit. For we all strive to be full.’
Asserts the Owl, bathed in divine light,
‘The water shall forever drip in this stream, as it shall drip in you.’
As he ascends in a flurry, the pail too flies,
Splashing upon the adjacent foliage,

Now it rests
    Neither full nor empty.
In our Lifetime
They come and go
You'll never see them coming
You never expect them go

Sometimes they come with a lesson
But sometimes with a heartbreak
One thing we should know early on
It's never wrong to prioritize one's sake
