Your hand is extended, but then you rescind
And you, like my thoughts, escape with the wind
Throughout existence, there’s been a handful of times
We get rediscovered, come rain or come shine
A locket of hair, falls to the ground
I hear a faint scream, but the echo is loud
And just when I thought that no one was around
You surprise, you reveal, you shock, and astound

Although my
body
dwindles more
every day,
my soul and
emotional strength are
renewed moment by
moment.

And even though
fall turns into
winter, and I
feel the icy
wind in my
bones,
spring will come
eternally to
the core of who
I really am.

And for that
I celebrate.
Live life fully brothers and sisters.

A flower

You are a flower
Far too beautiful for me to pluck
I will come to your site everyday
Just to adore your sight
I'll leave you in your natural habitat
I cherish you
But I won't be selfish
I'll leave you for others to behold also
Utmostly, I want what's best for you
When you cherish something, don't destroy it in an attempt to make it yours!

Lemon
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Time goes by
And I miss you

Just like me
The flowers grew
But soon they wilted
Just like you

You were sweet
This I knew
Like an addiction
I loved you

Now the roses are dead
The violets are too
The garden's all gone
And so are you

Your flowers died
I did too
Because all along
I was you
I wrote this a while ago when I had a crush on someone and it was literally crushing me. This is pretty metaphorical, but it also has a bit of literal meaning. It's a mixture of my feelings towards the person I liked and how I felt towards myself at the time.

Nobody
I stared at him naked,
after he let me read every page.
He was exposed, I was elated
the beast was finally let out of its cage.
I learned a disturbing fact that day
his dresser was where he kept his soul.
I saw him open a drawer and put it away
and I saw his eyes go cold.
Then he laughed at me and winked
and claimed he had everything under control.

The morning sun whispered to the streetlights to go to sleep..
The morning sun burned away the fog from the moons dreams..
The day has chased the night away..

My old blue veins
are a map to a lover
bleeding past stains
still left to discover.
Tomorrow never comes.
I am yesterday's news.
We were the only ones.
I sing yesterday's blues.
I drink the bitter wine
I cry such bitter tears
for lost chances in time,
but laughed for years!

Brilliance of liquid gold
Speckled with glitter and stars
Arresting the celestial plafond
A touch of Neanderthal aesthetics
Modern and ancient air
Fusing under the beauteous sky
