Another shift, another day, Another buck to spend or save
A million riders, maybe more, delivered to their office door
Or maybe warehouse maybe store.
Or church or shul or city school, right on time as a rule.

Clickety, clackety, clickety, clee,
I am New York, the City’s me
Come let me ride you on my knee
From Coney Isle to Pelham Bay
From Bronx to Queens eight times a day.

Ride my trains, New Yorkers do
And you’ll learn a thing or two
About the City up above, the one some hate, the one some love.
On the street they work like elves
Down below they’re just themselves.

Through summer’s heat they still submerge,
Tempers held (though always on the verge),
They push, they shove – just like above –
The crowds will jostle, then finally merge.

Downtown to work and then back to sleep
They travel just like farm-herded sheep.
In through this gate and out the other,
Give up a seat to a child and mother,
Just don’t sit too close to that unruly creep!

With these crowds huddled near
Just ride my trains with open ear,
There’s lots of tales for you to hear.

Folks start stealing your tunes on Napster
Guys’ll love ya, dig your face
Why keep lookin like sucha disgrace?

Call me up, you’re glad you did
Ugly skin you’ll soon be rid.

     It was a limo, now it’s the train;
Tomorrow’s sunshine, but now it’s rain.
The market’s mine, for taking and giving
It’s the way I earn my living.

     Today’s losses, last week’s gain.
A day of pleasure, months of pain.
     We sold the puts and bought the calls;
We loaded up on each and all.

I’ve seen it all, from Fear to Greed,
     Good motivators, they are, both.
The fundamentals I try to heed
Run your gains and avoid big loss.

Rates are down, I bought the banks
For easy credit, they should give thanks.
     Goldman, Citi, even Chase
Why are they still in their malaise?

“The techs are drek,” I heard him say
But bought more of them, anyway.
I rode the bull, I’ll tame the bear
I’ll scream and curse and pull my hair.

So why continue though I’m such a ****?
I’ll cut my loss if I find honest work.

Some folks buy them, most do not,
Are they stolen, are they hot?
“Batchries, batchries, tres por un dolar!”

Who would by them, even a buck?
What’re the odds they’re dead as a duck?
“Batchries, batchries, tres por un dolar!”
Why not the Lotto, try your luck,
Or are you gonna be this guy’s schmuck?

They say there’s sev’ral million a day
From out in the ‘burbs, they pass this way.
Most come to work, some for to play
They all want to talk, with little to say.

Bumping and shoving, knocking folks down
A million people running around.
The hustle, the bustle the noise that’s so loud
Get me far from this madding crowd.

“We can be shopping instead of just stopping
And onto the next outbound train we go hopping.
Hey, it’s a feel that that guy’s a-copping!”

They want gourmet food, from steaks down to greens
Or neckties and suits, or casual jeans,
It’s not simply newspapers and magazines
For old people, young people, even for teens.

Do you speak Russian, French or Greek,
We’ll assimilate you in a week.
If Chinese is your native tongue
You’ll speak good English from day one.

     Morning, noon, evening classes
Part or full time, lads and lasses.
You’ll be sounding like the masses
With word and phrase that won’t abash us.

Language is our stock in trade
For us it’s how our living’s made.
We’ll put you in a class tonight
Soon your English’ll be out of sight.

If you’re from Japan or Spain
     Basque or Polish, even Dane,
Our courses put you in the main
Stream without any need for pain.

We’ll teach you all the latest idioms
     You’ll be speaking with perfidium.
We’ll give you lots of proper grammar
Traded for that sickle and hammer.

Are you Italian, Deutsch or Swiss?
With our classes you can’t miss

     Of this sanitized Starbucks nation.

     With homework every night.”

Still to that job I held so dear
     Until fate’s awful quirk.”

“So help us now, a little, please
A quarter, dime (or dollar still better),
It’ll go so far to help to ease
The chill of this cold winter weather.”

“I’ll walk the car now, hat in hand
I do so hope you understand

     A magazine’s a decent score.
     Selling papers was the game

Tracks are bumpy, springs are shot ‘tween the cars they’re smoking
     ***.

To catch the car you gotta run they squeeze you in with everyone
Just hope no body’s got a gun 'cause getting there is half the fun.

Packed in this car we’re awful tight seems this way both day and
     night.
And then some guys will start a fight.  Subway ride’s a real delight.

Danger! Keep out! Rodenticide! I read while waiting for a ride.
This is a warning I have to chide:
I’m very likely to walk downtown, but I’d never do it Underground.

Took the Downtown by mistake.  Please, conductor, hit the brake!
Got an uptown date to make, God only knows how long I’ll take.

They hope you do good,
But not better than them.
You have magical technique
That causes them to be weak.
You have what they want,
Don't be too arrogant, but flaunt.
It's not your situation
So don't lose concentration
Use them as a motivation.
Zombie or Monster?

Zombie's thrive for flesh
Monster's thrive to ****
Zombie's are created
Monster's are born.

The night is the time for the hunt
Day is for the epic hunter
Hunting in the public is tricky
Mobs are easily spotted
Single target's is twisted in shadows

Zombie or Monster is my question
I fall under monster
I might appear to be sane
But in reality i'm just purple.

My soul gathers the blood that spills
My heart gathers the chills
My mind filled with thrills.

The body is like a bomb
Once pushed to the limit it explodes
This is not a lethal explosion
Just the force of Truth.

Those who don't get this are UNTRUTHFUL.
A monster might ****
But the **** might just be about spoken words not humans
Zombies are the instigators watching and not reacting
They do without knowing the consequences they expose to others.

I might be a monster
But all I do is **** the silence and shred them with truth
Truth which should be spoken but is dormant within one's self.

Zombie's show no emotion
While Monsters are the Motivators towards a solution.

When you have an infinite pool of memories some may not be as clear as others but my first sight of her is as clear as aquarium windows
She had eyes that shined like a varsity star on JV, a smile that made me feel innocent, a laugh that sang to the inner child I hid from my coworkers and skin that i somehow just knew was as soft as Jehovah's pillows.
High School was my empire, my company, I was the head of the board, the CEO & looking at her made me weak, extremely weak, as if I was a college grad in my first interview, a warm gummy worm under a steak knife.
A villainous & crooked CEO I offered false dreams, led interns to believe they could earn a permanent position at my side, with really no true intention to keep them around past a short term, ironically one intern would change my life.
Although this is probably known, I have never spoken it out loud. My intentions were utterly negative, to lust and vacate, ignore her grief, & later ask for her friendship as if I had forgotten my deceptive ways.
Upon her accepting the pain I offered disguised as a fairytale romance hidden behind a friendly smile and a fleecy touch I couldn't help but think "I win again" unknowingly welcoming with open arms a loss I would feel for the rest of my days.
The losses that are complete losses are not the ones to fear. Beware the losses that taught you something, the losses that made you better, the losses that are treasures for the next person to cherish.
Can I even consider it a loss lord? Is to lose a blessing a loss or is to have had the blessing even with having to part ways with it a victory in itself? It's this question, this thought that would lead my peace, my morals, my sanity to perish.
A young girl came into my bureau & completely shook the foundation, transformed my rules and morals, flooded a chilled and dreary workplace with unquestionable love, kindness, and innocence.
The most beautiful things in life can't be bothered without retaliation, **** the most gorgeous tree and Mother Nature will scorn you, corrupt a lionizing sky with dark clouds and there's no way to escape the consequence.
Make no mistake she was & still is to this stay one of earths greatest sights, An antibiotic to infected eyes, fruit for the soul, and a nutrient i would inquest and crave for everyday.
Never had I met an intern so full of life, i set out a task she would achieve, achieve, achieve. My effort she matched, my spirit and Enthusiasm she surpassed, anything i put forward she quickly matched like a celestial 401k.
It's not everyday the Boss learns from the intern & the experience was nothing short of an epiphany. Her paralyzing deep chestnut graze taught me to look deeper than just what the eyes revealed.
Her heart was as pure as ****** from the furthest regions of East Asian jungles, a heart so pure it purified and cleansed the heinous of mines, an affection so real.
The most alarming motivators in life are Love & Pain. We are willing to Die for what we Love & circumvent the pains we fear at all cost, until what you love is the source of the pain & we end up so confused by excruciating emotion we are willing to die for pain and avoid the love.
In her absence that's precisely what I did. I played hide & seek with the idea of Love & searched for pain, My soul would seek cuts, my heart craved anguish, anything that periodically felt worse than the regret of that game winning catch I let slip out of my glove.
Needless to say she taught me to appreciate everyone in this Company I called My life, that an intern can impact your empire just as much as a chief financial officer, just as much as your successor that is your pride and joy, your only kid.
We wish to believe we are in control of our lives but are we really? Are you in control if one mortal being can change the direction entirely? All that is certain is that we should love and appreciate however we can. Open your arms, open your heart, and most importantly open your eyes, put a microscope on your life, it's usually the things we subconsciously write off as minor and small that turn out to be so big.

Doubts
Lucca Roberto Sep 2016
I've met familiar faces in the
Darkest scenes ever unfolded
Maddening their faces, screaming for
Everything and anything that would
**** the pain that drove them insane
They've become locked in patterns
in cycles in fixated routines of needing  fixes

Fighting is all they have ever done, and never done all in one
Once it was easy for them to fail, now it's getting
Harder as the days thin out, as their waists and hair follow

Glorifying junkies and
embracing apostles of death
They had no true motivators
Just
Enablers
Stimulators
No one to ever look out for their
    interests, only their pacifiers

Who do you call
Who are you to call
on them?
Calling them demeaning
slurs to protect yourself
from your own degenerative
routines & drastic disdain for
the rest

You wash your brain with the
notion that you are
Immaculate
Infallible
When in fact, you are but a defect
in the washed-up pulp persona
The epitome of plastic in a seashell
Nothing could ever change that
which is your ignorant existence

Deny the Denouncing  of Doubts
that were there to distract the
dancing hippies in the rain
from their ultimate decisions
to become such disdainful
primitive degenerates in the eyes
of the rest of the cockroaches
of 9-5 shifts & 3 minute  *****
in the Fast Food toilets

Come, let them get off together

They come and go and come
and blow
They never leave the circle
of fixated cycles

Yes, I have met these familiar faces
in the darkest scenes ever unfolded
But I never thought introductions
would lead me any further loaded

No More Hero
Danni Apr 2014
I learned to never idolize again.
Never have another hero.
Idols and heroes,
they're only here to disappoint.

In a world of people who cheat
        and lie,
how should they be any different?
They lead me on
and leave me in the ditch.

I'm done with heroes,
done with idols.
Have to find new motivators,
those that are not living,
that cannot die.
Gotta work on my mind
and never idolize.

The world is crying!!

poets where are you, we all need you God has gifted you!

To help hearts of this world make it through..

Where are you?..

The World around us is falling..

Parts of it feeling tragedy feeling disastrous.

feeling help us Lord stand with us.

Poet, Leaders, Teachers, Ministers, come through,

Motivators where are you!

Rain is pouring..

Don't sleep on us hope your not snoring.

We are standing we are fighting, we are protesting.

We don't know what to do, our world is troubling.

Days appearing cloudy, whats our world coming to.

Is the world being punished for its iniquities,

Is this meant to bring us to our knees.

It's hard for many to see eye to eye,

We see a grey cloudy dark sky.

As the world is crying.

Some parts of it are laughing and mocking.

Most are denying, That things are coming apart by its seams.

As the Minority are bleeding. Our World is crying.

Many are denying,,. its the quiet before the storm.

It's the beginning of a tragic alarm.

It's history in the making!

It's very alarming..

The storms are rolling..
Poets speak your volumes..
Speak your views.. Speak in colorful hues.
On the things of today.
Help wipe some tears away.

Hatred and pain are such strong motivators
Stabbing pain like the jaws of alligators
I'm not the best with words, so don't try debate this
Coz I'm feeling so high, so ******* elated

Hands curled and heavy breathing
Pain and bloodlust are all I'm feeling
My eyes dark holes where darkness is bleeding
And all my sanity is ******* receding

Are you receiving?
Are you still needing?
Wanting
The end of all my hatred and pain,
All those days that I had nothing to gain
So I acted with no shame,
Ripping hearts
And tearing body parts
Out of a need
To be seen
Clearly
As what hides underneath
The monster free
Like a sword from a sheath

Hatred keeps me going strong
Pain makes blood fall
And my heart stall
First rule
Of the emotions
Is hatred is used in locomotion
And pain is what stops you,
A paralysing potion
That ends your motion

Stops your momentum
Completely
and then some
Trying to defeat me
Secretly
You just want me to fight back,
You want a piece of me?

Come get some
Once it starts it stops when I am done
Shred you up just for fun
Lusting for blood and adrenaline runs

Hatred and Pain
Day after day
Pulsing my temple
Making my head sway

But I enjoy it for the power
That allows me to devour
Those who try to speak louder
Talk **** and now a blood shower

Boom
A rap I wrote whilst listening to Hollywood Undead
