Durga, also identified as Adi Parashakti, Devī, Shakti, form, main name of Parvati, Amba, Kali and by many other names, is a main and popular form of the Hindu goddess. She is the warrior goddess, whose mythology focuses on fighting the evils and demonic forces that threaten peace, prosperity and the dharma of good. She is the fierce form of the protective mother goddess, ready to unleash her anger against evil, violence for liberation and destruction to empower creation. Durga is also worshiped in the form of her nine epithets called Navadurga.
