no damning good
cramming the skies      with medals and detail
best of our history    we began a weak century
17/06/25 & 21/06/25
1st line borrowed from altered graffiti that said 'NO **** GOOD'
but had been altered to say 'NO DAMNing GOOD'

what devils can i get away with in words ?
like arranging mercury slinks
to make a true thing    unbloated and blue
an honest note of mood
or  instead  floated finks of corpse
vicious old swears
  with nasty rash of discrimination
hold still   it ain't pretty but
         i can capture this picture
.
[original - approx 06/25 what devils can i get away with in words /like arranging mercury slinks/to make a true thing   unbloated and blue/hold still   i capture a picture/art you a fixture ?  get out the glue]

fiber optics  carry the politics
   over the border
the cultural wave  became a thirst
   so empty so plenty
so dumped in the plumb sea
   waste polices and what memory
the plump of luxury  we'd wed previous
   hard to flee ourselves
with our self discipline   a worrying absentee

back in time  to the stranger-danger eighties
when you could really taste the concrete
and the end of the world really meant it
(or that's what it felt like anyway)

night
this is texture of apparition
a little restless heat
the cat crosses between balconies
the cardboard set of the backs of city houses
stage of charming murders and secrets
the skies speed and health dominates
there's a detonation of the half moon
then the treads of clouds
and a sharp code of shooting star
we have no right
bathed with loving context
we should behave to earn such a view
but our smarts aim
at now't but hazard and flirt
war dooms at beat for thunder
the night skies become ominous
                     with our ruined broach
suspended under every breath
[03/07/25 original notes written late after watching the movie The French Dispatch : night/this is a texture of visuals/an opposition to massacre/the cat crosses between balconies/the cardboard set of the backs of city houses/the skies speed and health dominates/the detonation of the half moon/treads the clouds and a code of sharp/shooting star/we have no right/we should behave to earn such a view/bathed with loving context/but our smarts aim at now't but hazard

we filmed things
the audience would never forgive us for
then we edited them out
it was the right thing to do

the darkness remained behind the camera
but could still be felt by the viewer

inspired by the making of Wild At Heart
full version : we filmed things /the audience would never forgive us for/then the producer nudged the directors elbow/and we edited them out/it was the right thing to do/the darkness remained behind the camera/within the crew and actors /and in the scripts/but could still be felt by the viewer

jellied air
and bunged grey clouds
conducted  along a stream
an overhead burthen
they curl in on themselves
a lace of internal tension
