Laughing endeavors with marigold dreams
Soft interventions in line with the seams
Post card adventures with reasons to share
All this I love every time we are there

Paintings of pansies and red apple trees
Kites filled with colors a’ sail on the breeze
Sunsets at twilight that cause us to stare
All this I love every time we are there

Sidewalks with tables of gingham design
Minutes and hours along just in time
Butterfly moonbeams so swift on the air
All this I love every time we are there

White picket fences along every street
Butter cream candies so tasty and sweet
Secret emotions that show that we care
All this I love every time we are there

Books filled with pages the two of us read
Empty filled spaces with just what we need
Vegetable gardens at harvest so fair
All this I love every time we are there

Days of the week as we call them by name
Dancing together so slow in the rain
Sunlight reflections a’ touch of your hair
All this I love every time we are there

Leaves that are changing in colors so bright
Holding you close on a cool autumn night
Feeling your love that can hardly compare
All this I love every time we are there

So many reasons I find in your love
Sent by the light of the moon up above
Tickles my heart as my world is aware
Each time I’m with you, alone, anywhere
at the end of a relentless enquiry
she was found sleeping in a cemetery;
as love prompted, from the dna of memories,
he resurrected the lost love in his poetry.
I can be want you want.
But who am I
you crave.
I am not vanilla,
I am not chocolate,
I am not even strawberry.
I am sweeter than those things.
You need to look further
than
the calling
of your sweet tooth.
Let me enlighten
your beautiful mind.
I think you will find
more than a fine dessert
when you ******* desire.
We were all
born too late.
I know this
by the feelings
I get
when
spirit-guides
pass by me.

Yesterday,
I got too old
for my own good.
I sat and I wrote,
I wrote an ode
to my lost lover.
I knew her in a different time,
way back when corsets
ruled the day.
And when men kissed damsels,
they meant it.
If I could only steal her breath
one more time.
By all means, write love notes to her
Leave it on places she won't expect
On her back pocket, her locker, on her hand
Her phone, her lips, her tongue
Leave love notes on her doorstep, with your head tilted for a kiss
And if she ever writes notes to you, keep them
I beg you to keep them
Keep them in your heart, mind, and soul
Keep them hidden on your nape, your thighs, the edges of your ears

Memorize the way she writes when she's okay
Especially when she's having a bad day
The letters tell another picture, decipher it
An extra period on her texts messages means she's kidding
An exclamation point means you're dead to her
A question mark will be the death of your soul
(That is how I got myself killed)
She has grown to like the mysteries she has built over the years
I tried to understand, I tried to spell them out
Nothing came close to how she wants to be understood

Please keep the notes, keep her notes
You will never know how little you have of them
Until she leaves you with only 6 pieces of paper
With words of empty promises
The ones she used to tell her past lovers to stay for a while
But leave soon enough
The scent of her wrist slowly leaving
And her handwriting fading
Blots of ink from your tears

*(Words that I wish that I could etch upon my skin
But unfortunately, I already know
that I would just run out of space)
To her new lover (*******, man, and take care of her, you *******)
&
To my ex (you are one hell of a partner but I am done chasing after someone who wouldn't even pause for me)

Two strangers on a midnight ride
underneath the moonlight pale.
Two strangers who just by chance
are passing in the night.

One smile, one glance
a subconscious movement of the heart.
Two strangers just with flashing eyes
share a lifetime in one look.

The road between them gathers miles
their destinations leagues apart.
Two strangers shared a midnight love
that will live forever in their heart.
I am surrounded
by silent bamboo.

There is no growl
coming from tiger's toothy grin.

A neon blue butterfly
is not at all startled
by the flying red dragon
descending from gray.

Mister Samurai and Miss Geisha
smile affectionately,
while muted love birds tweet
near
the angry
crab-warrior.

I listen,
I listen
and I hear
the petals falling off
the chain of flowers
blaring.

I find magic in things,
in things
here.

Johnny heard a symphony
In his head
He repeated every word he read
He could hear every harmony
Melody
Saw the notes on the line
Johnny saw the world filled with music
He lived it
So you labeled him autistic
Because if your brain works different
You take pills to make it the same
Different is bad
But when he takes the pills the music goes away
The symphony turned into a piano
That's not quite on key
Instead of beauty
It's an almost perfect note he can't see
"The doctors said it wouldn't disappear completely"
He's conducting to an empty orchestra
The instruments have been put away
The flutes are in the corner
With dust and decay
His fingers can no longer grace the piano keys
He had to think what does that mean
But he can't think
He feels woozy
And dizzy
The pills took away his ability to be free
They said his disorder made him weak
That he could be amazing
If only he was the same
He could be perfect
If we pick at his brain
That are playing a game
With his sanity
He was insane
But they still call crazy
Nothing has changed
But the pulls added a haze
And took his ability
To make music
That's not the same
