"Who is this goddess?" Whispered the sun,
As the moon traversed the sky,
"This angel, silent as a nun,
This silver dragonfly?"

He moved in for a closer gaze,
His heart began to speed,
As through a misty, cloud-spun haze,
He watched the moon proceed;

Soft silver tresses graced her brow,
Her dress, mother-of-pearl,
billowed like sails on a dream-ship's prow,
or curved tsunami-swirl.

"Oh Lady Moon" murmured the sun,
"I burn, I swoon for you.
"Come let me kiss you, gentle one,
Before night passes through."

"Come languish in my warming arms,
To music of nightjars,
Come let me taste those subtle charms,
Dear lady of the stars."

"Ah, do not court frivolity"
He heard the moon reply.
"My purpose is to steer the sea
And yours to light the sky;"

"Why, if I languished here with you,
Tall ships would run aground,
And you must light each day anew
Or all nature confound."

The sun-god would not be deterred,
But kissed her trembling lips.
As they embraced, no sound was heard
Throughout the first eclipse;

Waves lay as mirrors where they kissed,
Until they drew away,
To drift back into heaven's mist,
As night melted to day.
Written 2003, sharing here because of the eclipse earlier today.
I welcome your scars
this time around for
they are the last I
may ever accrue.

You dig.  in . for. dear .   life .
One lasting fight to end all
                         fights.

A big mother battle for
the parents you were
torn from and the
storm that you
             were born
  into.

Onto my doorstep, I
proclaimed this ship not sunk
and spent the night too
               drunk on love to ****
to **** it all up with
                                one word: good by-
there is magic on your tongue
i feel it when you talk
i feel it when we kiss..

Born
I used to give much
I craved for much
I did my best for much

I just don't get what happened
I keep sliding back in the same hole
a place I despise most

now am less
Turned into fake
my existence full of mess
if only you knew my case
Like a dew on a leaf,
Like a word on a wall,

My mother hangs in my room!

We do speak
Like the grass to the sky!

Like a lily she smiles
When the breeze of my eyes blow!

In summer of my sufferings
She brings the rain through her eyes!

Seasons come and go!

So blessed!
Spring in full swing here!

Fragrance fills the space
And I, never alone, Rejoice in volumes!

reabetswe
without him I wouldn't be here
he was a goddess
his lips
his eyes
his smile
his soft skin
the way he carried himself..
he was everything

he was everything I had been wishing for
there was something special about him
he knew how to keep me at ease
how to keep me sane
how to keep me happy

he was my one and only
perfect muse.

I've yet to find a religion
That doesn't shun the others,
Just because their god has a different name.

I've yet to find a religion
That doesn't say everyone's entitled
To their own view as long as its the same as theirs.

I've yet to find a religion
That doesn't condemn women
To being inferior just because god's a dude (apparently.)

I've yet to find a religion
That doesn't insist its followers
Do unto others as theyd have done unto them.

I've yet to find a religion
That doesn't disregard that rule
When it suits them to ignore "gods" words.
you might have noticed by now, religion isn't my favourite thing
