Welcome to our generation
Where kids pretend to smile
They pretend to be happy,
When in reality,
They're broken,
Beat,
Hurt,
Tired,
And they just want to die

Welcome to our generation
Where kids self harm,
Starve themselves,
And make themselves throw up
The generation that tries to die

This is our generation
The generation that wants to hide
The generation that wants to die
I want to get away
Get away to that place
That place with the balcony, the umbrella
And the cold sand

What if  I can’t
What if I can’t escape
Escape to that space
That place in another land

Would you please just
Just give me that touch
The escaping sensation
Of your healing hands
Your writing hand needs a vacation anyways
I am white clouds
Immobile
Blue sky drifting
Apart from me cicadas buzz loudly
Bare back on hot cedar planks
Mindfulness in bloom
Ideas like dandelion seeds
Arise before floating beyond the roof line
I am time—
The lawnmover engine turns,
reality returns.

Be soft in words;
Be gentle in deeds;
Be glad like birds;
God'll supply your needs.

Let hatred go
As soon as it comes:
Forgive your foe
As do say the psalms.

Look for wisdom:
Learn to love nature;
It is freedom:
Freedom in picture.
