Don't force the words
don't exaggerate
it bespeaks of struggle
the reader it would not ingratiate
So many times I did fail
I tried, over and again, I tried
   often to little avail
    I cried, silently I cried
of recent days he's turned up
using another name's
guise
yet the eyes were instantly
onto his photograph's
apprise

would seem that he wishes
to conceal a past
identity
but the beard which he wears gave
a good clue concerning his
entity

the cat is quite literally out
of the open stringed
bag
the peepers are dead certain
about the man's secrecy
tag
What if all that counts is a kiss,
hugs are fallacies and a good word
conspiracy to make us miss
the obvious: lips on lips?
