Voting day
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Politicians born and bred
Manifesto
Easily lead.
The power is in the money
The dollar or the yen
Waltzing with mien kampf
We don't let that happen again.

Singing them a welcome tune
I'm not voting for anyone

Being untied
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Truths you can't live with
Blame me it's so easy to do
Cheating,slanderous lies
It's always you you you.
Slowly I'm untangling your  hold
Starting to see behind ones mask
so I'm looking forward to the future
To be a beer without a cask.
It's going to wreck my emotions
Play havoc with all my thoughts
As the noose slackens around my neck
My smiles gets bigger of sorts.
I'm going to dance the boulevard
Run naked through the corn
Releasing me from your iron grip
Means I can slowly be reborn
You broke my heart through away the key
But now I've made new locks
Sitting on the quays of life
Waiting for a sweet ship to dock.
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Living outside reality
Covering it with spin
24 hrs, rolling news
Creating fear within.
Xenophobia tribalism
it's always been the way
The world is getting stranger in
all playgrounds,which we play.
birthdays have lost their happiness
Pawns are   promoting hate
politicians blaming politicians
While gardens are closing their gates.

Do we learn from history
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Ode to the butchers apron
Now flying proudly at half mast
Empire days of brutality
Are we now paying for the past.
Terrorism has come home
To this green and prosperous land
People killing people
What is there to understand .

Momentum
Mark Bell Jun 2017
The ball started rolling
Many years ago
Picking up momentum
As hatred grows,
Divide divide
Call to arms
why do people
Need to harm,
History dictates
Violence leads to war
Then after the carnage
What was it all for,
Heavens waiting room
Is quickly filling up
Beans must blend together
then sweeter the cup,
I've done violence
But I don't understand hate
Stalingrad is rising
Or can we change fate

Promenade walkers
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Sea spray
Wrinkled faces
Promenade walkers
Doing morning paces.
Coffin Dodgers
Passing time
Waltzing the promenade
In Warm sunshine,
Sea breeze
Fresh air
Promenade walkers
Seem not to care,
Hand in hand they all ebb away
They'll be back another day

Empty chair
Once I sat there
Now I'm dead
And gone
Empty chair
Now feels despair
Now I'm dead
And gone
Empty chairs
Are always aware
When your dead
And gone
Empty chairs
Tell stories
Just sit and listen

Sweet Lilly
Mark Bell Jun 2017
My spirit is dancing
Among the stars
My body has been cremated
So I wrote an e mail to God
To see if I could be reinstated
Life I wanted another go
I wanted to sing and dance
Experience a bit of danger
And Take a little chance,
Maybe find a sweet lover
Kiss my father and my mother,
First chance of life never favoured me
see I'm Lilly I died when I was three,
God must have read my e mail
I've just been reinstated
I don't no how one did it
Seen I had been cremated ,
What a surprise to see my brother
Kissed my sister, cuddled my mother
Father smiled and held my hand
and said nice to see your back with the band
Family life was good for me
Did a bit of fishing in the sea
Danced to music read lots of books
A happy life even learnt how to cook
Walked the woods with mum and me sister
Grazed me knees and accepted me blisters
Even grew up and had many children to hold
I'm living in this story it needs to be told
Thank you God for reinstating me
My five children send their love
Now it's time for me to go
And join the stars above .

After care
Mark Bell Jun 2017
I loved life
Life didn't love me
Now I'm dead
I'm totally free,
My mangled shell
Has now been cremated
I'm of in to spirit world
Hope I can get dated.
My first little pleasure
Will Be to dance to a tune
run around naked and
Pop all the balloons.
I sway with the bluebells
On the forest floor
I'm an eagle on the wing
Just Watch me soar
Spirit world,I've found new love
Thank you God and the stars above

Just Popped out to buy a paper
Returning so happy four days later
Met a lady in the street
Very beautiful,very petite.
we hugged,we talked
We sang we walked
Four days and nights we lived
For each other
Just by chance I had met

I live in the park
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Lovelly ladies
Walking by
Aroma of
Scented skin
Images of beauty
Warms me within
Children playing
Having fun
***** been
Kicked around
It's Lovelly
In the morning sun
as the birds
Make musical sound
Bikes go by
Shoes are worn
Wild life in
Tranquil splendour
People picnic on the grass
Such diversity and gender
Weather changes
Time to time
Silence befalls
The park
After every beautiful day
This bench will
Endure the dark

All the dead live in my shed
Overcrowded yes it is
All the dead live in my shed
Smelly yes it is
All the dead live in my shed
Diversity yes there is
All the dead live in my shed
Noisy no it's not
Because if it was somebody
Would have complained
By now

Her clothes are just a mask

Tempted by lust and warm desire
I opened her up

Holiday time
Mark Bell Jun 2017
Of on holiday
Going to the sun
In a paper rocket
To have some fun,
Of on holiday
Going to Venus
In a yellow camper van
Shaped like a *****.
Of on holiday
To surf the stars
In a jelly trifle
Shaped like a motor car
If I get out of this asylum
Anywhere will do
If I ask you nicely
Will you come to

Problematic
Mark Bell Jun 2017
I **** you
You **** me
Let's hold hands together
You **** me
I **** you
It doesn't solve whatever

Me being dead
You being dead
Let's be dead together
You being dead
Me being dead
Hasn't solved whatever

Hindsight in what's been done
It wasn't all that clever
Better to have held hands
And tried to solve whatever

Happy birthday mamma
