How fire builds, born of warm remembrance
far or deep in heart it burns, sparks
a flash, how lightening strikes fly
achingly, beautiful pieces of sky
tiny embers burrow
swept inside the soul
a call, remembered
will burn, burn
indelible
Sometimes i feel the world will never hear you
the way you keep all your love to yourself
you think you give it away, really just afraid to fall
your words speak like light to my darkness
illuminating me even for a second
i know that we would both be happier
if you just would write a little better

Three days ago you told me you'd never leave,
Three days later you're not talking to me.
Three days ago you said we were cute,
Now Three days later I'm hating you.
What happened to us between then?
Was this last week just pretend?
Was Winter break the last parade?
Before you decided to end my days.
Now I board down a ***** of heart break.
You got me pondering life while standing on an iced lake,
Not caring if I fall through,
Because I'm already drowning in the coldness of not being with you.

s o m e t i m e s
late at night
while I'm gawking at the sky
I make up spells with the stars
I play your face in my mind
and with your chains I am guided
through space & inside time
there is a life wherein you're mine
a silent light behind my eyes
it does the opposite of blind
& I am enlightened by this find
I say your name quite q u i e t l y
that even the birds feel so inclined
that i'm reminded of your smile
every time I watch them fly
you're like a diamond in a dream
that shines inside of wind-chimes
playing songs during my sleep
my own *r o m a n t i c
lullaby
the brightest beam I've ever seen
you belong beside the sky
& sometimes
just s o m e t i m e s
things aren't always as they seem
you know you can't say that to me
for I know exactly what i've seen
try and do what is best for you

As I lay awake in wait.
Before the sun is up to start the day.
Creating radiance for all to behold.
Darkness will be waiting, watching.
Though the sun won't let go.

"When people start to hate
they stop living."

my history professor
once told me that.

in my times of weakness
when you slither into my mind
and bite down
like you so often did.

I remind myself that if
I let the venom s p r e a d
I am no better.

so go on
keep smoking away the pain
you inflict onto others.

but I can tell you this,
I ****** your venom out
long, long ago.

and learned how to
move on from the bites of others.

it's a shame, really..
that you can't
say the same.

The way you rapped me around your little finger
Twisted and twisted till I could untie myself no more.
Rocking and rolling my poor heart, letting it linger
Leaving it left so sore.
Yet this passion clutched me, hung from my every limb.
I would not leave you. As I knew you would not me.
The country moves of yours swaying, humming hymns
Every move so elegant, so classical, so free.
I could not grasp the way you did it,
Moved me from my deep burrowed Blues.
My hero in every form, like a candle lit
In a darkened, dusky room.
You will be my song, my tune, my being.
For you and I will breathe as one breathing.

Life is made up of complicated simplicities.
Never meant to understand its confusion,
May it be real or imaginary in this world of duplicity.
