The rain comes as a shock
to the dry Texas land

The soil can no longer remember
a time where its thirst was quenched.

The hills are painted with clear intentions
and the earth smells of a fresh upheaval.

The roots dig profoundly into the planet
and extend from below to the cosmos above.

Awakened, within the terra firma,
a seraph reaches up into the leaves
and caresses the lush branches.

How long it has been
since the being could attain
and comprehend
the artistry of this world.

At the touch of life,
the being steps out
of its transcendental state unlocked from

her chains
of depleted soil.

She is cautious to be held in the bough.
But a flower blooms merely at her gaze
and obsequiously transitions from colorless
to the deepest amethyst ever beheld by eyes.

Down it comes, drenching the forest,
spreading its nourishment.
Small crystals appearing as tears
brighten the cheeks of the seraph's smile.

Color
rushes into her skin and she appears
to blossom
in her comfort and confidence,
mirroring that flower.

Snuggly she rests her seasoned heart
within the boughs she's only just
begun to fathom and question.

Is this renaissance ephemeral?
Even if it is, this,
this child of the earth knows the rain
is a feeling – and it's ineffable.
I wait for the rains to subside
A broken shard of my heart lost in time
The winds rise, clearing my mind
The teardrops on my pillow finally dry
The cord between our souls entwine
We blossom in the golden Sun, divine
I found you, I've found you,
my golden man,
you and me,
let's conquer the land.

sunshine fella,
mine forever,
you and me,
let's ride together.
he had
eyes parallel to heart

at the same time

my own mind felt like
it was a day away

we were made of
green hope
like
waiting at
traffic lights

the mountains breathed
the rain whispered
we watched
and hoped
and forever
was no where
fragments of the moon,
watery night,
out of the darkness
a flower unfolds.
You're like a rainbow
It seems I never see you
But first the rain must fall
Bowing before your beauty
Reminding it why the sky blue
It's not a *** of gold
Or a place to find
It's what you try to hide
Until your tears are dry
Then you show me a sign
It is more than I can bear
To be apart for so long
Parched without love
Until you finally open up
And show me that you care
You wondered why I look
But I wonder about each cloud
Will it be you I finally see
Or will it be another night
Where whispers cry out loud?
Pastry land
Is so grand
But do beware
Of this world so fair
Its fée illusion
That spins delusion
We pirate cats
Wear jester hats
As we twirl and dance
Our kitchen prance
Throw a soul onto the pyre
Watch the heat make bread rise higher
Hopes and dreams
Whisked with smothered screams
Baked hot and through
In the shell of you

Hide behind full cases
In cute little places
All cookies and cake
And the smiles we fake.
There is a great distance
A vastly endless space
A divide that echoes longing
Separating me from you

And within this great distance
Awareness is born
These two entities are destined to be
Their bond infallible

Where is the great distance
Of which I was painfully aware
Now it seems obsolete
We are intangibly connected

There is no great distance
Separating me from you
These words are cerebral and devoid of the emotion they represent. Their honesty paints reality. These words are for you.
Pomegranate
Scent I'm so addicted
Makes me feel a certain way
That with words I can't explain
So I question
And I weigh
The consciences
Of confessions
and the pain
Of rejection
For our sake
I'll keep it safe
Lips sealed
Nothing revealed
