Feel the rumble in your bones

Unspeakable
Karisa Brown Mar 2018
I lost myself
After I lost you
Why didn't I see
I was letting your eyes
Make me as we speak

Your words, comments,
Even the little gestures
Crowned me
Victory or defeat

I lost you
Now I only see my feet
They go nowhere
My head is empty
With despair

Loves empty canvass
Draws no more potions
There needs to be evasive action
To take hold of my endings

Scrap my tongue
Scatter the ashes across this
Plain white backdrop
Make scrimmages from
Self doubt, self pity,
And disappointment

There's no point in running
I'm always on empty

I often hear whispers
They say sit
Feel what she's done
What's left
Now binge on forgiveness

You'll find your soul
Underneath it
The flame will spark again
The dead will speak in color
Another shoulder will appear
To hold all of your secrets

The moon is full tonight
Maybe this light
This dark bright ancestral light
Will be my path

I have no earth to grab on to
I might as well die
Float up to the sky
Ask the gods
To bring me another muse
Someone just as lovely as you

I'll stay lost forever
If that's what it takes
To build a garden
Inside of these empty gates

To live
Off you

In a sea

Spilled
Shimmering

I held your eyes
In the parenthesis of
A smile
And your gaze
Was a pain
I slept with

Triggers last
After memories fade
I still can't get
These messages
Out of my head
Every song
Ever mentioned
Replaying

Continuous
Preluded tenses
Too Torturous
Gravity defying
Lustful longings
Completely enamored
All at once
HALTING

Now as I leave
I stare off
At the pictures
As I flip light
Into dark
For the night

Wondering what
It is your doing
And then I leave you there

Returning
Again
In the vaccant
Singing
Still frames
Of
Remembering

READING RHYTMIC WONDER??
Karisa Brown Dec 2016
Seldom do I go
Around
Putting words
In order
The way they
Should be

So tell me why
I live by those
Shoulds in
Real life

When words I just
Let them fall
Not giving a
****

Of the order
And then I realize
How *******
Beautiful
They sound
And how it came
Through so *******
Clear

But life
Ha life

I try to control
And do what
The voices
That embedded
From birth
Tell me

Then wonder
Why nothing
I really want
To do ever
Gets done

And why
My face looks
So ******* sad
All the time

Instead of
How I feel
When I read
The words
That I CREATE
Not them
But I

Makes more sense
Now that I'm writing

I am
NOT living
For I

I'm living
For a them

I DONT WANT THAT!!!!!?

Inside of you
Can I taste
What you're made of

Can I wander
Around inside

For days on end

Can I tap
All the doors

The ones
Deepest

Can I make
You crumble
And eat
What falls

Lovers After Dew
Karisa Brown Feb 2018
My eyes grew dim
That moment
I first saw you

I swear you took my soul
breathed it in
And wrapped around your
Sweet sugar tongue

I watched mesmorized
As you inhaled
My smoke fumes
Watched me dance
around the room
Spinning on such sweet
afternotes of you

I tried to speak
As i watched my feet
Stood backwards
And felt your finger tips
Glide inside of me

I gazed up and down at you
But to no end
You said we could only be
Lovers after dew

Never before
And never again

I spring
Every winter
Waiting for you

My beliefs set fire to passions that spark
Send flames

Run away from the shame

Run away to the light
So I can hold you warm

I would follow the moon
As close as id go
Your voice echoed
Inside
We had coversations
Each and every night
I prayed To you
Like a God
That created
The very birth
Of my soul
You escaped me
You let go
Now I long for you
I let myself search
Beyond this cloud
Of doo
Is a beautiful earth
Waiting to unravel
Inside my twisted
Blooming
Everescent light

Drowning in nature
Pure and light

It is a calling
It is passion

Recharging Sparks*
Karisa Brown Dec 2016
There was a passion
a fire
an energy that threw
sparks out of our lips

As I watched your eyes
crystalize them before
they reached me sometimes

I tried
and when I didn't
then you tried
we're both exhausted
we're stuck

We'd get frustrated
with lack of own
and then feed
off each others
bits of glow
for days

Journeys end
new ones begin
I have to close chapters
but will always revisit
this one

over and over
as if it were new
each time

My eyes will always
light up
at even the slightest
thought of you

Possibilities are created
from that place
if I stay long enough

But somewhere between
the corner and the middle
is where I find myself
on the page

And I turn over like
a car trying to start
but no one is here
to help me recharge

I must recharge
I've not even began
and I drain so quickly
if it takes forever
I'll wait

Until edge of ice
reaches out it's hand
and dulls my shame

Till things of pure
gold replace
all the trash in this place

I know there's a spot
you'll save
I'm just not sure
when I'll regain
strength and courage

To say
to sit face to face
without falling
on my face

I'll keep trying
till then
I'm here

Knowing
what we had
was enough

To keep soul happy
and I'll try to stay
on trail you showed me

My own
and if I need you
I'll ask again

Made in your face
Or drawn over a thin
White lie
I mean line
Made out of paper
You posted it
Didn't you

Who are you
Where do you live
Inside a crib
You once slept in
No home goes unnoticed
To us kinds

We live in imagination
BEyOND the bright fillip stars
Where comfort and knowing are

We live to follow you
And quarter just for a go about
What you imagine life really is

It's you
It's all inside of you
Your soul stretched a thousand lands
Before finding you
And reaching into
Your afterlife care

It sput out ashes upon
Your bed
And told you
Please do not take
These off your sheets
One day you will kneel
I'm what yiure now doing
Only to look up
To a brighter pool
Of hopefully zooms of light
Inhabited by mother
And father time

Just joking they don't exist here
Here is parallel to any know being
Where the fish comb
Through your vessels
And hats race thru your mind
And hurddles of black sea
Trunks of ancient old trees
Soon devour
Fastly
Intrigued
By YOU
Little I'm
Nobody pays attention to me you
We,are interested in you

But why?
I don't like the attention
Please don't look at me
It makes me really
Creepy and weird
And mad and rages
Like scavengers eating
At my brain

Please,see it a different way
You are us
We birthed you from the Stars
We love your light
We never hate
You
When you feel
Low or have a hard time
We encourage you in
Whispers light
Through this species
I found your aunt
Delilah and uncle Sam

aha I thoubut so
They are mine

And the dark ones
I carry like backpacks
Of rocks
Never to lift
With each,thought

Erasing won't,help
They've already
Bought space
In my mind
And they live in my bed
And eat,the ashes
Before I have tome,
To descend into the sky
Upside down they have
Me
Curling my toes
Where,the duck are,my toes anyway
It's man eats shot all day
Kind of love,that they celebrate

To my disguise
You,can eat cake and raindrops
Will soon taste like healing
And your insationable appetite
For life,will soon
Turn on

Is it perspective
Can or do I still have you've,them
For morning noon and night
Or can I take a flight
Or lay down a Lahore the help do I get rid of them all

Well never tell
That's where you'll
Find us
That's where we dwell
In the back of my mind

Enter stage right
Exit night
Enter light
Take,my hand
OFF TO NEVER NEVER LAND

Perspective is everything!!

The moon shivers
Under your embrace

The earth tangles
Under the sunlit kiss
When we spoke that day
My atoms were unified
As if you were inside of me
I felt perfect bliss
With a hint
Of love, aggression, and jealousy
I wondered if you've seen her
I've wondered if you've
Changed
You've sure gotten skinnier
I wasn't sure what to make of
The change
Clothes different
Hair back long
I figured yoy struggled
But what took you so long
I'd been waiting for you
And c to get together
I saw a change in her immediately
She began to ask all
Sorts of questions
Said you were still very much
Hung on me
I love you
I want you to feel that live everyday
In whatever shape or form
That comes in
You've been
Given a gift
I don't want to see you burn out
I love you
Like the restless soul I am
I wish to dive
Into you every night
Still I hold back
I still understand
Your desire
To get better
But nothing is wrong
You just lost part of me
I need you
Just as if I needed the rain
