I must confess my love,
Ships in the night, my dove,
I do but see you driving by,
I'll love you till the end of time,
But I do not to pieces to fall,
Fragments of love, that's all,
A smile, a wave, a brief hello,
I confess my love, where did you go?
Or where do you come from, my dove?
To you,  I confess my secret love..........
Feedback welcome.

Here's a news item story,
Cost of housing, not such glory,
We all strive for the Great Oz dream,
In suburbia, is it what it seems?
Connect the dots here, folks,
Is affordability a  joke?
Has Dystopia taken command?
Who owns what so grand,
In Oz, Great Southern Land..........

In my burb, cool cars are superstars,
They never seem to travel far,
They drive off to the bottle shop,
Head off home, dodging the cops,
Maybe they seek lively young babes,
I think the **'s are giggling away,
Another trip to the bottle shop,
Your fun police, I am not,
I do not care where your mufflers are,
Cool cars here are superstars!

The muse has no hushing,
My voice needs no shushing,
A baby boomer scribbling,
At my brain, muse nibbling,
Cool to create,
Thoughts I relate,
While world is yawning,
I write in the morning,
Verbose or terse,
My muse here in verse!
Feedback welcome.
Stars spangle this verse,
Fabric-love's universe,
Love so unilateral,
Dude still loves this gal,
Magic continues for us,
Love needs no fuss,
We're abstracts, we rhyme,
Cosmic lovebirds for all time....

To whom are we responding,
All bad news for responding.
Someone's editing all this stuff,
Media and worldwide web, that's tough,
Let's examine the motivation,
Feeding us their manipulation,
Read and listen in bewilderment,
Assess the agenda in amazement,
You want us to believe that stuff?
Motivation and manipulation, guess that's tough!

Carping, such dulls,
A peaceful smiling lulls.

Crocodile tears never last,
Let's have enough of the past,
All these phony crocodile tears,
Show me someone sincere,
My mud-coloured glasses,
Enough crocodile tears to last us......

To cross bridges, let's have faith,
In the ultimate survival of the human race,
Why demonise migrants this way?
We're humans, just the same,
Even terrorists who use their creed
As a mask for greedy power, indeed,
If we spread brotherhood far and wide,
We could cross bridges that divide......

Boomers keep up with each current affair,
Loving romances at this time of year,
Cupid firing at anyone, in the air
Naughty drunken arrows get us anywhere,
Flowers, gold bling, promises, sweet nothings,
Whispers, bloomers, loving embrace, kisses,
Guys and dolls, chiming churches, true weddings,
Ever romance, ageing sonnets, misses,
Never minding, divorce silence frowning,
Begone, chirpy single, improving life,
Turning away, progress, better crowning
Queening  normal, strengthen smiles, ex-wife,
Ironic, her swain has really fainted,
Nurse IV cleavage resuscitated!

Here is my famous recipe,
Ingredients for love, you see,
You need to slake your thirst,
Here are the elements: First,
Bring your patience kind,
Sense of humor springs to mind,
Laugh together through the years,
Sometimes there are days of tears,
But Cupid ever strings his bow,
Healing hands on his arrow,
Yes, this is Cupid's recipe,
Naughty little chap is he!

A notion came to me,
While I sipped a restorative cuppatea,
That's all one word, prithee,
It does appear to me,
That atheists in Heaven hear us, you see,
This is a lovely cuppatea,
Yes, cuppatea's one word to me.......

Let's look at cute love,
Now we're old, after wedding doves,
Observe teens' first love,
So cute, holding hands,
Endless chats, phones their bands,
So cute, such melodramas,
Boy meets girl, disliked by mama,
Are they star-crossed lovers?
Shall  they have wedding doves?
Isn't it so cute, love?
Feedback welcome.

Let's reflect on endless information,
Is there, indeed, malicious intention
In Microsoft's and Apple's inventions?
Humans hooked on technology,
We're turning into cyborgs, you see,
I write this verse digitally,
For cyborg poets to read,
Do we accept this as part of change,
This world shall never be the same,
I guess this is the cyborg way.......

This is a tribute to my Dad,
In life, he was a stoic lad,
As a hero, he battled ****,
He loved sitting in his woodshed,
With our Dad, we were blessed,
Us he always gives the same love,
Rest in Peace, Dad, in Heaven above....

As the daily news  I was reading,
Here is the story that was leading,
Zombie spider slaves, wasp masters dictating,
Subsidised fake spider skills,
Wasp masters must be getting their thrills,
I sense an allegory,
Like humanity's history,
Teeming ants in a global rat race,
Pleasing some master's lack of grace.
Same scenario, different day,
Till you retire and fade away,
Who, indeed, are our wasp masters?
Come on, humans, work much faster,
Don't you forget to hurry,
Or wasp masters shall give you curry!

As the daily news  I was reading,
Is there no other news for leading?
Yes, allegory I was perceiving.
Inspired by daily news, feedback welcome.

This is tale of Daring Do,
Indeed, a true tale for you,
I was walking my fluffy dog one day,
Chanced upon an aggro dog along the way,
It assailed my little fur,
Really bad, not even a stir,
So I battled the Alsatian and won!
Saved my fur friend number one!
Yes, not bad for this old lady,
Walking fur under trees so shady,
That's my tale of Daring Do,
Indeed, a true tale for you.....

What can't we see in the dark?
Is a stranger lurking, for a lark?
Is someone under my bed?
What is that noise? Pure dread,
Oh, it's only a wind rising,
in the dark, it's all a bit surprising,
What can't we see in the dark night?
I think I'll switch on the bedside light!

Oh, bucolic pastorale,
Dawn brings a carnival,
Golden-pink, sunrise hues,
What a wonder for our view,
Dawn draws back her veil,
Night vanishes, sunlight's grail,
Our skies aflame,
End nocturnal games,
Oh, bucolic pastorale,
Dawn brings her carnival.

What is death by chocolate?
Chocolate you must accumulate,
To amass your aggregate,
Are Mars Bars better than a man?
For chocolate you reach your hand,
Is there enough chocolate in the land?
Then there's housework in the world,
Best keep your strength up, girls,
Give those chocolate twirls a whirl,
A moment on our lips,
A lifetime on the hips,
Just call us cuddly from now on!
As on chocolate we ponder on,
Death by chocolate, satisfaction!

Eeyore the Dr. Ignorant,
Winnie the Pooh, ambulant,
On a walk in the woods,
Are they up to no good?
Winnie does say,
In his happiest way,
"Buzz, Buzz, buzz,
I wonder where the birdies was?
Whoops, in my eye, birdie's blip!
I guess that's what you call a gift! "

So, this is death by Bunnings,
This is so not funny,
So much for a store of hardware,
Then it's on to death by Ikea,
What am I doing here?
This is true fear,
Esoteric death by Ikea,
I've got absolutely no idea,
I've come home with a kit,
Comprised of a zillion bits,
Some of it's missing, it's
Giving me the blip,
How to assemble this?
Who even gives a blip?
Yes, it's death by Ikea,
A barrel of laughs here.
What bit goes here?
Doesn't even look near,
So not funny, non dears,
Total angst of Ikea,
Yes, esoteric death by Ikea.
Bit of fun. Feedback welcome.

Hats off to Demosthenes!
Democracy, democracy,
But..
In Australia,
Bit of a failure,
Forced to vote for politicians,
We elect politicians....
We need leaders of power and vision,
Not talking heads on television!
Compelled to vote in a democracy?
Still our lucky country,
O tempora, O mores!
Democracy, democracy,
Hats off to Demosthenes!

Fires ever complete.....

Destiny for humanoids---
Shall we run by androids?
Or shall we be the androids?
Let's prognosticate,
Predict our fates----
Shall mankind claim the Universe?
Or is Anarchy to be the serve?
Teeming billions in a rat race,
What is destiny for our Earth place?
In our lifetime, we'll never know,
Unless Armageddon explodes,
Let's hope the young are star hopping,
Instead of retail therapy shopping,
Too young for the stars,
Too old for the seas afar,
Nothing left to explore,
Disaffection, please no more,
Shall we be the androids?
Destiny for the humanoids?????????

There are different kinds of love
In life, love can bring peace as doves,
Maybe guidance from above,
There is love parental or familial,
While fur friend love is eternal,
Then there's love between adult humans,
As with each other they hold hands,
Lucky love lasts a life span,
Having friends because we're human,
We can be apart but still together,
See each other through stormy weather,
Yes, I woke up with love on my mind,
Maybe all forms of love are divine!

If I could appear,
Then disappear,
What would I do here?
I would disarm nukes,
In silence, with no rebuke,
I would appear,
Then disappear,
Disarm every bomb and gun,
Then appear, peace won,
Tacit Peace on Earth,
What's that worth?
If I could appear,
and disappear!!!!!

Once together, now apart,
Harden your heart,
To me, don't come snivelling back,
I don't cut your terms of endearment any slack,
Let's not reunite,
I still sleep with a light,
Once together, now apart,
Nothing colder than an ex-wife's heart!!!!
Feedback welcome, all in the ashtray.

Dolphins talk,
The good old talk,
Wish they'd walk,
Love to talk,
the good old talk,
Like dolphins talk,
Talk and smile,
Swim, chat for a while,
What do they think?
Calm sea like a rink,
What do they talk?
When dolphins talk
the good old talk.

A life of doublespeak,
I think you're weak,
Never mind, (you're a dipstick),
Means 'I don't give a blip',
Blip happens,
Means, 'You're crapping',
Do stop moaning,
And all your groaning,
Dull contemplation,
Of ex manipulation.
Yes, doublespeak,
Means I think you're weak,
'Have a good day,' so long,
Who cares why the ex carries on?

Not a ******,
Please stop your moans,
Not a ******,

Do we love the right way?
Does anyone really love anyway?

Philosophy from the aged,
Does anyone love the right way?
