Into the woodwork, I gaze
At the passing parade,
Studying people, always a fave,
Some standout in the crowd,
Interesting, people-watching allowed......

It all came to a standstill,
A day when time stood still,
A beautiful world, fogged and grey,
Grief was its own land, okay?
But the sun arose the next day,
And we woke up anyway,
When the past was  a distant land,
Time stood still, not so grand........

So, I'm starting over again,
Why is this thought in my brain,
That patterns repeat for everyone,
For me, good men appear to be none,
Control freaks take a sweet witch,
And turn her into a right *****!
You can't please bullies, let's say,
I suppose I'll learn that one day,
This pattern long held in my brain,
Being a doormat is a drain!
So, I'm starting over again.

Staunch is Our Lord, friend anywhere,
True friend, like jewel, precious and rare,
Everlasting blessing He guides,
Accept true love at our sides,
Devoted to leading us to divine,
Founded great faith, yours and mine,
Acknowledge each human race,
Steadily leads, His immortal face,
Trust God's bridge to mortal grace.

Today I'm  cooking some steaks,
I do believe steak is great,
I don't care what vegans say,
Maybe they should all ******* today!
Just kidding, believe what you like, I say,
I am cooking great steaks today!
No need to fuss, hold the bus,
Signed, one of the 'carnivores are us'!
bit of fun. Feedback welcome.

A new babe on the way,
Does she arrive today?
The stork is on standby,
Is she coming down the slide?
A star in heaven's berth,
Winging her way to Earth,
Now an atomic cluster,
Has she got a dust buster?
Her future unplanned,
Soon in Earthling's band,
When is she coming down the slide?
Right now, the stork is on standby!

Yes, a blessed Sunday morning,
A fresh day dawning,
I pray for faith to unite,
In the early morning light,
As our day of earthly prayers does start,
To be blessed, chats straight from the heart!

In this town, I am a stranger,
Around the shops, I am a ranger,
I study the crowds, no immediate danger,
Glitzy shops, such strange lands,
Consumerism not so grand,
Around these shops, I am a ranger,
In strange lands, I am a stranger............

A beautiful world, it needs some cuddles,
All around, the world of struggles,
Plants all over are gasping,
While chemicals pollutants are grasping,
Fur, feathers and fish are becoming extinct,
As their habitats can no longer exist,
Then there's plebs in Earth, who struggle,
Overpopulation--maybe too many cuddles,
Soon for air we'll all be gasping,
While the powers--that-be go on grasping,
All around a world of struggles,
Our beautiful world needs a cuddle.

Withdrawal makes you mean.....

Country Cups and Picnic Races,

We love our sunburnt Christmas,
Hot for Christmas Day, no less,
Maybe a hint of eucalyptus,
Good old Australian Christmas,
We pray for a peaceful day,
The slow news Christmas way,
Encircle the world in a Christmas embrace,
Hot for Christmas, no less,
Yes, we do  love our sunburnt Christmas!

'Twas after a frosty night,
I caught a glimpse of sunlight,
Sparkling on a spider web,
Miracle, enough said,
Patterns so intricate,
Did not brush aside, delicate,
Yes, 'twas after a frosty night,
Spied a web of sheer delight!

An idea hit me like a tornado....
If I were a superhero,
I guess I'd be like Robin Hood,
Always aiming to do good,
I'd grant everyone their wish,
Hand them blessings on a golden dish,
Health, wealth and happiness,
Grant the world a superhero bless,
I see wrongs and wish they were rights,
It's the world, won't get uptight,
This idea hit me like a  tornado,
Oh, if only I were a superhero.

Skyscrapers in every nation,
Signs of mankind's aspiration,
Millions of plebs face starvation,

No, skyscrapers they keep building,
How many lilies are they gilding?
What else could they  be doing?

Here, there is a surfeit of Spam,
Fed to us by government man,
Democracy's harrowing tale,
Setting us up to fail,
Pollies' synchronised team,
Is all this what it seems?
Total cant and hypocrisy,
A merit myth of futility,
Spam surfeit, no caring beyond duty.......
A bit cynical, any chance of job creation for the young? Feedback welcome.

This poem brings a surprise,
Once I came home with bits of pies
In my hair, kids did what they dare,
Food fights all over everywhere,
All part of sacramental life,
Church celebrations full of strife,
No, I am not kidding,
In cream puffs we were skidding,
This Dracula  finally left the scene,
You try teaching all those tweens!

Only Keith Richards will be alive!
Yes, there'll only be Keith Richards,
Pickled by drugs and drunkards,
So, what world will we leave old Keith,
As the world is covered by nuclear wreaths?

Chlorination fever too,

Waiting till I should be old,

Childhood, ah nostalgia!

Take nothing for granted, little kids,
It was library day for our kids,
Lateral epic lit. for the kids,
(The kids' librarian was off her ****),
Reading new wave kids' lit.,
Such as "Paddington was ******",
Then there was a new book for tots,
Titled "RIP Spot",
And an epic for libraries to fill,
Called, "Bye, Bye, Blinky Bill."....

Now it's story time for tots,
Here's our new one, "RIP Spot',
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
RIP Spot, the street dog,
We dehydrated Spot,
(Life the *****, there's the chaps),
Froth, Spot, Froth,
Yes, read along, tots,

Read along, little tots,
We all starved Spot,
He was a street dog,
(Lift the *****, there's good chaps),
Rot, Spot, Rot,
Now we can count his ribs, dear little kids,
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
Happy maggots, Spot,
Spot is mort, poor Spot,
He was a street dog,
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
Mort, Spot, Mort,
Now Spot's on his way to Heaven,
His ribs were more than seven,
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
Have some flies, Spot,
Rot, Spot, rot,
They opened up the Pearly Gates,
Poor Spot wasn't too late,
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
Look at Spot's halo,
There's two more books to go,
Spot has sent us a card down here,
"F.U., Society, you didn't care,"
(Lift the *****, there's the chaps),
Rot, Spot, Rot,
You were a street dog,

Ooh, are you all sad?
Two more books in this bag,
Here's "Paddington was ******",
(The kids' librarian is off her ****),
We'll all read along  now, kids,
Paddington was ******,
The tots were, by now, totally miffed,
He was their childhood hero,
Now a drunken old dero,
Rolling around in the gutter,
An alcoholic ******,
Society didn't care,
He was only a homeless bear,
Now the tots are totally miffed,
Paddington was ******....

Now, here's our last epic book,
This one's worth a look,
"Bye, Bye, Blinky Bill,
His mother forgot the pill,
Perched on a tree up the hill,
Blinky Bill ran under a bus,
****** on Eucalyptus,
His mother forgot the pill,
So, Bye, Bye, Blinky Bill.

We took nothing for granted, let's say,
Kids' librarian got the sack that day!
I was in the library one day.... then I saw a street dog in the shopping centre, no one cared....Feedback welcome.

This is a tale of a world reborn,
Beautiful ways of life to form,
After global warming,
Comes an Ice Age dawning,
Then an aeon of floods,
To wash away our crud,
Geographic cycles, yes,
We're all in an age, I guess,
Who shall survive,
Of species still alive?
An ancient Planet Earth,
Always reborn, a vast girth,
This is a tale of a world reborn,
And beautiful ways of life to form!!

If only this dog could talk,
We'd chat as we went for walks,
Indeed, what would a dog say?
"Hello tree, how are you today?"
"Hello, each blade of grass,
Hope this walk's not my last."
"Hello, cute little poodle,
Puppies we could have oodles!"
But what would a poodle say?
"Just keep on walking, on your way!"

Grey threads sorority,
Don't say fat, tee hee,
Three sissies, so cuddly.

Seventy now, baby sis,
We antiques bridge, kiss,
Fun times family,
How's your tapestry?

What makes a teacher great?
With lots of kids, you must relate,
Cast aside your cares and woes,
It's like a stage, the classroom flows,
Look at things through their eyes, eh,
Make learning fun, but be firm each day,
Then send them home at the end of the day,
"Gee, I can't believe it's the holidays!":
Says no teacher ever,
Living legacies, really quite clever,
So, does that make a teacher great
With all those kids to relate?

Once there were tea ladies, with mystique,
Our morning thirsts, they did pique,
Broad of stern,
Trolleys of urns,
Lovely biscuits, sometimes cakes,
Morning pangs, they did slake,
Big happy smiles, tea lady's here,
Did we greet her with a silent cheer,
And by the way,
What was your name?
Where did you go to, bye,
Gone to make tea pots in the sky,
Once were tea ladies, with mystique,
Our morning thirsts, they did pique......

Teens of Telstra, teens of Telstra,
Staff of team Telstra, they are stars,
To me they all look like teens,
Cutest things you've ever seen,
Oh, teens of Telstra, teens of Telstra,
Now there's collective bulimia,
As greys with phones enter their shop,
Under the counters, the teens do hop,
Teens of Telstra groan and moan,
"Who gave grey old farts mobile phones?"

This is western society,
How much is distorted realism?
Talk in sinister sexism,
Casually call criticism,
Typecast fashion femmes,
What about men?
High heels or no,
They'll call you a **!
You can't blame women,
For control mechanisms!
Emotional blackmail,
A world run by males,
We should empower the young,
For their lives in the sun,
When was misogyny begun?
Any real chance of equality,
in our western society?

What is the world teaching our young?
Now a new day on Earth has begun,
There's terrorism as a new tourism,
Using as a mask, any schism,
We all accept this as a norm,
It's time for attitudes to reform,
Terrorists are made, not born,
We are educating our young in new wrongs,
But to one human race we all belong,
How to pass this baton on?
This question we should ask,
To find solutions to this task,
Old peaceniks sit and wonder,
While our broken youth shall ponder,
They're using as a mask, any schism,
Why is terrorism  the new tourism?

Have you got a thank you mantra, eh?
Something to say each day,
Thank you, we woke up anyway,
Thank you for my bed and shower today,

Thank you for our beautiful world,
Prayers for peace from an ******* girl,

Heading for the next election,
Votes vied for by vicarious politicians,
Who are we all voting for?
Is it for their superannuation? Or,
Streamlining services to sway us,
Does Oz really needs such fuss?
We're walking on the winning side,
Let's have some more Hi-fives!

Look,  I found a new book to read,
This is a book of nonsense, indeed,
Titled, "The Amicable Divorce",
I did snicker and chortle, of course,
Who wrote this? Some toff,
I sit and read and scoff,
I wrote companion lit.,
Equally full of blip,
"Improve your kids' English,"
Real vivid vocab., that's the way,
What this witch wants to do to them,
Only one way to handle abusive men,
"Uppity, uppity, shove broomstick uppity."
"The Amicable Divorce"? Heavy, heavy,
Look, a brand new book to read,
"The Amicable Divorce", nonsense indeed.....

Was it in Bethlehem, well I never!
When a little baby boy was born,
Was that the greatest miracle of all?

Yes, after the loving's over,
You've bowled this maiden over,
Honey, we blew up the universe,
You can believe that, for what it's worth,
Honey, we blew up infinity
again, how's that for chemistry?
Honey, we blew up the systems solar,
Yin and Yang, our love bipolar,
Yes, this is our Big Bang theory,
Love endless between you and me.........

There's a real case for Bing Crosby,
Commercialism in every store,
You'll accentuate the positive with glee,
Singing along to Bing Crosby,
Soon it'll be a bit like Christmas, or
Cant in every store,
Instead of religious awe,
We'll overspend cos it's Christmas, yah,
Then we'll stuff ourselves on the day,
Cos Jesus was born on Christmas Day,
There's a real case for Bing Crosby,
Cant in every store, see!
Then you'll beg me not to sing Bing Crosby!

Way back when  in the sixties,
When we were young and nifty,
Me and Grandpa definitely believed,
I would love to ask him what, indeed,
In what did we believe?
Well, in the case for Jesus, let's say,
Original selfie, his shroud, Resurrection Day,
In hope, in Faith, in our power to pray,
In silent miracles, at Easter, and every day,
Yes, me and grandpa did believe, yah!
A healer was on Earth, still here today!
