God
help is in order -
you and i still screaming each other sick
like twin fathers. one

who wishes to surrender his church
to the rust and the other hastening
to restore it:
stone, metal and all.

many nights i
fail to tell apart one from the other,
tell apart the resurrection
from the ruin. i

and you both picking up and
at loose ends of temple rubble
and made to snivel at what
could have been.

there are pieces here we keep
that need be thrown away.

there are pieces here we leave behind
that need be kept.
I use "God" a lot for my titles. But this one is rather apt for now. It lacks the power I want from a poem entitled "God," but it's true. And truth sometimes is all that needs to count.
Please
Leave me
Alone
I do not care
To see your
Face
Or hear your
Voice
"Peace"
is synonymous with
Beatles music and
an empty desk—
i stare longingly
for no reason
but
that of some
Artificial sentimentality;

Quiet purity.

Is a sucker for love
don’t lick me dry
Lover of drugs
Come get me high
Dancer for romance
Swing my way
Feeling blue
Come brighten my day
once in your mouth
Enjoy me slow
Remember this taste
Before you go
What's your flavor?

“i just don’t think its working.”
she mumbled
but the words did not come
through clearly,
the words were like mud
thrown against a clean window
it cleans off eventually
but never sticks
he sighs
and when he sighed
the whole world
exhaled with him
the whole world
released all pent up anger,
frustration
and took some time
for itself
his love for her is like
a river
on going
ever flowing
non stopping,
she keeps him going
she keeps him safe
just by the touch of her warm
embrace.

Like the oak leaf hydrangea bud in May,
like the squirrels infest backyard  bird feeders ,
and like the train whistle echoes in the hollow
rolling through white pines and serviceberry branches,
her trust, in the shape of soft smiles and morning kisses,
permeates his every breath .
