I wish I fell in love with drugs,
instead of you.
It is still dark
When driving through the
Morning haze.

On my way to
A job that doesn’t
Feel like “work “.

Thinking of you,
And the way your lips
Fit with mine.

The sky turns pink.
I recall sleeping
Next to you.

The clouds are orange.
Remember my nails
On your back?

Atmosphere bright.
Asking, “What is love,
Exactly?”

The sun blinding.
Blazing I miss yous;
Bright goodbyes.

I’m at work now.
Fatigued; lack of sleep
In my eyes.

Up all night
Since you broke it off
Yesterday.

I’ll brew coffee
For myself; not two
This morning.

The sky is calm -
Ordinary day.
Naked eyes.

I miss you like
You missed the desert.
No surprise.
For NM

In My Eyes - Best Coast
Don't Forget About Me - Cloves
Just call me Fish-Sparrow
from atop ten mountains
the dream king of the fountain
guardian for the Light

I am the hermit hangman
balancing with butterfly wings
The Liger with dragon fire
Dancer of four thousand winds

I am yin to mother yang
the light and shadow's bane
the butcher and the lamb
reclaiming God's tears from Cain...

I am Magus, Gossamer prince
Eye of phoenix slayer of sphinx
Harbinger of goddess / kissed
the one who fell to transcend this

I am the clay you shape
the gift of future days
Buddha's peace / grandfather's tree
the secret sword & way

Fish-Sparrow Dream King
Eye of O, Bane of Ys
Lion whom slayed the serpent sphinx ;

to no one I am nothing

A simple poet for the Beloved
A new day's Spring.
I am tomorrow / her Lion king.
A spur of the moment spirit write / out comes the inner verse... take it for what it is, or image big the possibilities are endless...
The waves pushed the body gently to the shore
So lifelike you expected words
But only the sea speaks for the dead
The story lasts for days, weeks, months
Some last forever
All lost souls walk on water for a time
A time to remember and say goodbye
The sea doesn’t portion blame
Asking no questions
Just becoming the guardian for a time
Before releasing the body to pastures new.
Take time
to wrap your arm
around a child
warm against your chest
teach him to train his eyes
on falling leaves

Take time
to point your finger
toward squirrels dancing
across branches to their
nest-home perched
atop the tulip poplar
towering over the back yard

Take time
to trace a
two year old hand
outline each finger
leave living imprints
beyond mere paper
into the next
generation
