No snow days in the sunny states
But free bus rides to the other side
Climb, climb, climb …
The fruit is higher

Ignore the dead ones below
The pieces that dried up
Waiting to be picked

And what is picked besides guitars, noses and colorful roses?
Okay, so …  lots of things
But how they are picked – much more interesting!

An ocean full of notion
Notions to fill an ocean

Emotions
ooOOHHHH
the EMOTION!

I’d like to shower it out
Maybe hike a mountain and let loose a shout!

Release

I don’t like leases

So Re- lease

Let go

No snow when the sun’s in town
No frowns when a smile’s around

Let’s take the underground and move it up a floor
I’m bored with being bored

You want to write a letter and mail it to space aliens with me?
Probably take a long *** time to get there
But, oh the look on their faces when they get it!

Worth the wait.

Totally.

I left the road to see the center in your eyes
They reflect the past and every part of me
This tangled a twist spinning towards the sky
Just enough to touch the heavens and it was radiant

Brilliantly Radiant.

I saw the look you gave when your soul got trapped between your ribs,
Feigning rhythms and heartbeats set the tone
Bitter cold snipping at my spine and digging out my breath
And I never want to let go.

This may have been an awkward dance fitting to the tune
Skipping the steps to the future that lies ahead but the past is just a place
In this moment we were still.

Brilliantly Still.

Calm nights seize into silent mornings where the birds wake to the sight of the sun
And we wake to the sound of their song
They have no need to worry, only the breath in their beak that forms into music
The leaves flow to the wind and the train passes with soothing horns

"Shhh..... Listen."

I'll pluck the chords and change the melody so that the horns never stop
Your ears, pinned to the window letting them slowly drift you to sleep
Playing back all the subtle notes that fall from the engine to the tracks tumbling with consequence
And I prefer to the solemn pacing of forever but
I don't believe in time and in this moment we are infinite.

Brilliantly Infinite.

We spent a day in space
because the Hendersons did it last month,
and the Jeffreys the week before that.
It was all they talked about at dinner
and their eyes sparkled
in a way I hadn't seen before.

You can pack light.
It's only a day, after all.
Maria and the kids were nervous
but I told them not to worry,
just to concentrate on the in-flight movie.
The kid in the seat behind
kept kicking my chair,
which was annoying.

To be honest
it was just like a normal flight at first,
out the window gazing
at the other shuttles coming home,
pressed into your seat
by the g-force.

But then you break through the ionosphere
and you're weightless.
It's quite cool.
Jessica got some good pictures of Earth.
I was looking at the floating stewardess, mostly.

It's one of those things, though -
you can't really appreciate it when it's happening.
You have to look back on it.
I'm pretty sure the grandeur,
the magnificence of human ingenuity
and the joy of returning to Mother Earth's comforting embrace

Will hit me any day now.
Excuse me, my phone's ringing.

Out of Liquor
and out of time.
It's 2 AM on
someday
thats not a
saturday.

Outside my window
racoons climb through
the fig tree feasting
like untamed
royalty on
the heavy hanging
fruit.

I rifle through
the cabinets
in search of a
bottle.
The cabinets are
bare and I know
this,
but the madness
says there's more.

There's a deep
red stain on
the scuffed and
peeling linoleum floor.
It's as red as
that flapping flag
of anarchy.
It's blood and
I know it
but I choose to
ignore it.

The bars have
all closed and I can
hear my neighbor
has brought the
party home
next door.

I despise the sun
but times like
these I beg the
Gods for it's
arrival.
For with the
awakening of
another day
brings the opening of the
liquor store
and my continuance
in the way of the
hardened soul.

My mornings began
just as empty as
my bottles
from the night before
and I see no
real reason to
stop it all
now.

I believe in God the father for He is life!
I live with love waiting for the one lady 4 me.
I thank God for second chances, we can n' do learn from our mistakes.
I believe in miracles; I overcome the impossible everyday.
I know that there are no bad people, only good people who make bad choices.
I strive on coming through for people, giving them a reason to rely&trust; in me.
I believe that everything happens for a reason because
I am in Him...
