Needing: in the small breath I’m holding,
that from other people’s conversations,
cutoff in my element listen alone,
withered thinner easily grovel or stoop,
to the conventions of others years
who involved my art with money.
Here: a smile is waiting reposed,
it's poor rendering despised,
what bosses her heart,
squeezing paint out in a new way,
the tender old accumulating inside
beauty behind rehab.
Appreciation: what colors work engauge,
