We need to surrender
Surrender to life
Surrender to our
Circumstances
Surrender completely
Living in the moment
Surrender to the love
Surrender to joy
Find it in your soul
Surrender today
We all need to release
We need to let go
Surrender the pain
surrender the doubts
Surrender those moments
That take you away from peace
Surrender to grace
Give in to the mercy
Surrender it all
At the end of the day
There is peace in your soul
Never let it go
As much as the world
And the day
And life
Can make you
Surrender to the pain
Give in to the peace
That inner calm
Surrender

Nothing in life's e'er guaranteed
Borne of ink, on thin paper reeds,
Spades may shatter Diamond skies; So
in red or black, no tell, we'll show
Playing hard, as this life proceeds.

Marked cards, Bad & Good, defined; Deeds
shuffled, we love, we fight, we bleed.
"Roll the die" Jokers laugh, "Let's owe
nothing to Life!"

Dealing dirt hands, with want, not needs
Flushed; Their greediness supersedes
So let's choose our cards, best we know,
stay true in Hearts; Letting go,
where false relativity breeds
nothing in life
A follow on, to my dearly departed Saloon girl.
Hold'em Tight & Keep 'em Close
(the original title)
changed for something that rhymed with rondeau!

The one constant in life is the opposite of it.
Death.
Lives come and lives go.
People are dying on the East coast right now
and people are being born on the West coast.

The one constant in the mind is the loss of it.
Insanity.
People find themselves and lose themselves.
People are being reborn on their journey's
and people are destroying themselves with their bottle's.

The one constant in love is the loss of it.
There is no word for it.
People create love out of thin air and destroy it just as quick.
People are falling in love with those around them
and those around them are tearing it down in the meanwhile.

The one constant in poetry is the lack of it.
Rants.
People spill their hearts or they spill their guts,
People are writing right now, as I am writing
and I'm also just talking to myself: Poetry.
thank you for visiting my pad, unannounced,
everything there was in a mess after the shake up,
my books, the whole lot was in a heap,
soiled clothes like big dead birds
were strewn everywhere,
the packets that accumulated,
remained unopened,
my sense of humor was in hibernation
for a long long time,
The potted plants cried for water,
my pet  parrot stopped talking,
but kept on complaining-
asking about her,
I had even forgotten
the sound of laughter,

I knew few things were to be done
to get back on track,
I needed someone to do some
creative prodding; get back my mind
to its original mooring.
I longed for some guiltless
heavy duty loving,
though so much has to be involved
for all this to happen, in a short while,
that too i needed without any strings attached,
after all that happened i was more than battle scarred.
there was nothing money can buy i didn't try.
but all failed and i was left, high and dry
You appeared like a whirlwind,
and changed everything,
yet you knew how to be a breeze so gentle,
at the right moment;
bless you, even if you aren't sneezing.
Yes.
We all been there.
Then maybe not.
When that tooth comes loose.
When you're a child.

Yes.
We all been there.
When that tooth's loose.
And just dingling about.

While the parent(s) waits for it to fall out.

Yes.
We all have heard about the tooth-fairy coming.
Once the tooth leaves an empty spot within your mouth.
And your tongue begins to play.

Yes.
We all been there.
Just waiting for the banker's to come.
After you have gone to sleep.
And money appears under your pillow the next day.
After you have been to sleep.

Oh yes.
We all been there.
Getting soothing love from folks that knows us.
As they states the tooth will grow once more.

Yes.
We all been there.
Told to brush our teeth after each meal.
Or this problem will happen again.

Altho' the sweets are sweet.
And my smile is cool.
I just know I don't wants to be without my tooth again.

Yes.
We all been there.
I could never
Love you more
Than I do
Now.

Of the things
That I'll never have -
Among them are you
And satisfaction.

The ring
Upon my finger
Imprisons my heart
In anticipation

Of the joy
That I long
To give
To you.

It is only my mind
That prevents
The danger
Of desire.

I've loved and wept
In the fragrance
Of cologne,
As it leaves your memory behind.

I've loved and wept
In autumn skies of eyes,
That free a prisoner
With hope.

And for the first time
I've thrown down my reason,
And loved you uncontrollably
Without having you at my side.

I've waged war on logic's regeme
And won with the rebellious spirit
Of the French
Kiss.

Imagination conceived
In a gaze.
A life of happiness passes
With the coy flutter
Of an eyelash.

And I could never
Love you more
Than I do
Now.

As the reflection
Of independence
Fades away
In your footsteps

As wandering eyes
Remind me
Where my home
Will be.

As reason and fear
Eradicate
The wrongs
Of the quick-thinking movements
Of my heart.

I could never
Love you more
Than I do
Now.
Its ok
To love
yourself
You don't
Have to
Hide that
Inner love
And light
We struggle
Against the love
We often feel
Like we don't
Deserve to be loved
Every body wants it
Every body deserves it
We all are loved in our own ways
When the love expands in your heart
You can truly begin to love yourself
Accepting yourself completely and wholly
Seeing the beauty for yourself and accepting
The ever growing love, beauty, light,  and peace
Love yourself
Don't ever forget
We all are free in
Our own way
I step outside and feel my nose crinkle
Look to the sky and watch the V’s fly south
Walk through the woods and hear the leaves whistle
Take a deep breath and taste fall in my mouth.

A start to the happiest time of year
Everything’s changing like wind where it blows.
Squirrels hide acorns, scarecrows create fear,
Pumpkins make faces at kids and their clothes.

Delectable treats in bags and buckets,
Scary films to watch on the edge of your seat.
Kids running around creating ruckus,
Stomping on leaves in the street with their feet.

Lets not forget Oktoberfest and beer;
Where people gather ‘round to celebrate
A special event that’s held every year,
Something so special you can’t replicate.

Delicious mystery looms in the air
While evil spirits meander ‘round town.
Libra gives the torch to Scorpions heir
And leaves pile up into one big mound.

The autumn harvest is now creeping up
Making food to put on everyone’s plate.
A great time of year where change is a must
Because without change, nothing can be re-made.
Acrobatics of mating bats,
gaping hopelessness,
of half eaten fruits,
restlessness of chirping
birds of different feathers,
ants; red, black, brown
countless of them
in a state of perpetual motion,
apparently for no reason,
up and down, and
on to the branches, leaves;
squirrels, like ringing bells
complaining about
the dominance of the birds-
occupying the branches,
a golden serpent, slithering
through the scaly dark  trunk
to steal eggs kept hidden
in the motherly warmth of nests,
huge green cover of leaves,
thinking itself as an umbrella,
shielding, the sky's eyes
and rain's intrusive wishes,

*but
the tree,
a universe, where
desires, wishes and frustrations
act out  their own plays,
is oblivious
of everything,
and meditates
on the sun.
