Jaanam Jaswani
you are my alarm clock,
the vertical curve on the corner of my lip,

but you are not the urgent tap against my skin,
not the creases between my brows.

you are a tabloid magazine,
a stifling bank of encounters,
but not the ringing repetition
of electronic dance music.

you are a pair of socks with stains on them,
the warmth of the sun licking my back,

but you can never be a filthy fingernail,
and you will never be the bottom of a single serve of whiskey.
for langham-
you are the subject of a significant amount of my poetry.

And once again I say goodnight,
to the two pillows that will hug me tonight.

Tick Tock

Just Melz
It's dark tonight
And I cannot breathe
The hands of time
Are slowly choking me
Tick Tick
Watch the color
Fade from my face
Tick Tock
Watch my body
Fall through space
Caught inside
These hands of time
Losing my grip
Losing my mind
Tick Tick
Why can't I see
What these hands
Want from me
Tick Tock
I'm fading fast
This life is just a memory
That can never last

Thank you everyone. It was a tough year for me. As you have known, i lost a parent a few months ago. Coming back here and writing  is like starting all over again. Smile was inspired on how i wear it on my daily routine in the office, even in tough times. This shows that i still have strengh and will to move forward. So i greatly appreciate everyone's support.
If I sit here with no one near
When the loneliness is my biggest fear
And my cheek is burnt from that shameful tear
I reach for a can of beer

If I don't feel that I can shine
When I sit here looking for a sign
And I can't find anything that will make me feel fine
I reach for a glass of wine

If I want someone to come
When I want to act real dumb
And I want to shut my thoughts up and feel real numb
I reach for a bottle of ***

If I want to cloud up my brain
When I want to stop feeling pain
And I can't see a way to make my feelings drain
I reach for a glass of champagne

If I want to have a ball
When I have no one to call
And I feel that I'm about to fall
I reach for my best friend - alcohol

PaperclipPoems
But we decided to play hide and seek in this bed
Pulling the sheets over our eyes instead
Gripping each other through the heat of the moment
Bitter Monday mornings when our eyes were forced to open
Guilty pleasures and a wrong turn in judgment
Amidst the pillow-talk and screams you became my weekend sacrament
Just because. Good night
Everybody tells me to leave
before it gets worse
'What would you do
if our rolls were reversed'

I'd tell you to get out
cause you deserve so much better
'So why do you keep going back
like one of those annoying chain letters'

Well, I'd rather get a little taste of passion
than no flavor at all
And if I want someone on top of me
I have no one else to call

And when I'm dealing with my selfhating mind
I need someone to silence it
I feel so desperately lonely without him
Even though he treats me like ****

Somehow I prefer getting hurt
over being my own best friend
I know I'm better off without him
Yet I'm terrified that it will end
