You observe
and I do
I watch
and you act
twins souls on opposite
sides of the coin
cause and effect
act and react
rats on a race wheel
until we get off
and embrace

Grassy hills hear
The call of a bird unknown
What is this sound that sings with clarity
Such utterly delightful singularity?
Is that the voice of an angel?
Or is it you that sounds so true
So out of the blue oh beautiful of you

She whispered
Where are you?
His silence was so loud
That it deafened her ears
And stilled the leaves
That rustled underfoot
The cold was within
And the cold was without
Skin stretched tight
Across aching bones
While silent tears froze
On her sweetly
Sleeping cheeks

While it snows
in Norway
they look for summer
in Africa,
the Motherland -
there where the great lion
will eat you.

who's to say
why some thoughts happen
and why certain things occur
who's to give an answer
if the question is unsure
sometimes songs rhyme
and sometimes they do not
its not that we don't understand,
it's just that we forgot.

Fumbling for the lights
walls bend under the weight
of a darkness so cold
what has happened
to times of old?
Life, so heavy at status quo
so many born as so many go
Mother said, pull yourself  
toward yourself..
Move closer to the fire in your heart
and be warmed there,
you are your own Light.

Is it too much
to I cry if I'm glad?
Is it ok  
to say when I'm sad?
