To not acknowledging a critical tragedy in your life for over a year
Because you had “moved on” but you loved him so dear
You shoved it in a corner and forgot all about it
But now that “ it’s over” you uncover it and bring it back out
Now it’s all you talk about
He was your husband for 47 years
I get you moved on but why hide it for over a year
Now that its being shown to the world again
Should we all be happy to see the urn back in sight
It’s to little to late to try and be what we all thought you would be
Dad, I miss you and I’m sorry that you were hidden away
But your always with me

As the holiday season comes to an end
The old year is gone but a new one begins
A blank start for you to fill with the same hopes and dreams you had last year

Stagnant air
Filling your lungs
Beautiful sounds
Become noise as one
Light shines
Through the darkness
Tangible objects
Disappear in thin air
Smelling things
That are no longer there
Seeing sights
Through a blind persons eyes
Stepping into someone else’s shoes
Just for one minute
Can open your senses
Giving you a world of a surprise

A beautiful butterfly appeared out of thin air
I have to admit, that it gave me quite a scare
Until I realized, to my surprise, it was my dad flying by saying hi
He fluttered around my head and down at my feet
Moving so fast making me dizzy
At which I thought he flew away
As I felt a sense a relief, saying everything’s ok
I peered over at my shoulder and he was sitting there
Only for a second and kept fluttering around
My dad came to calm me down
In that moment I knew everything was fine
When you least expect it, they will send you a sign
I needed it today, a little wink from you
As you fluttering around me and whispered “I love you”
Thank you dad for putting a smile on my face
I hope I make you proud each and every day

500 smiles
100 good jobs
50 hugs
All of that equals
That you are LOVED

Broken seashells along the beach
Find a beauty in between
Amongst the broken scattered shells
An untouched one
With a full story to tell

The bridge between
Heaven and Earth
Can be seen
Once the rain ends
The sun shines bright
That’s when
A rainbow will appear
Connecting you with those
Who have passed on
Until it fades away
Waiting for the next
Rainfall to arrive...

Teeth chattering
Body shaking
Goosebumps all over
Seeing your breath
Wind blowing
Flurries forming
Crisp, freezing air

Winter is here...❄️

Doubts haunt me
Perfect nightmare
Overwhelming disaster
Filling up the air

Can’t breath
Losing air
Choking on nothing
That’s not even there

Life flashes
Before our eyes
Sweating profusely
Screaming out from the inside

Awaken from this drowning feeling
Thinking this was all a dream
A dream that is reality
Of this crazy thing we
Call LIFE

Blank canvas
Splattered paint
Swirling colors collide
Emerging a masterpiece
Only you can see
Or those lucky
Enough to see

To be felt like the wind blowing
To be seen like the flowers growing

A bag full of laughs
A bucket full of tears
Just some of the emotions
We collect throughout the years

Blizzard like conditions
Rapidly cover the ground
Making the commute treacherous
For everyone all around
The snow continued to fall throughout the night
Slowing down as dawn breaks the light

Temperatures rising to warm up the day
Most of the snow will just melt away
Yesterday’s low was a mere 31
By Tuesday it will rise to 71

Freezing and snow one day
Then summer like conditions will break way
But winter is not over
This is no fun
I just want to be warm and have fun in the sun

Wipe away others tears first before my eyes cry silent tears that I try to hide and disguise so everyone thinks I’m fine....

Ever wonder...
Where you would be in life if:
You made a different choice
Made different friends
Chose a different path
Been somewhere else at a different time
Involved in a different activity
Lived somewhere different
Loved someone different
Made different decisions
Had a different passion
Vacationed different places
The list could go on and on...
No matter what the “what if’s” in life you have
Always remember “everything happens for a reason “
Your meant to be where you are, who you are, and where your meant to be in life....

Never once was there a doubt when you asked me
To be your wife as you got down on one knee
You said our day wasn’t
“perfect”
Until you said
“Will You Marry Me”
As I sat there in shock and thought
“Is this really happening?”
From that day forward you have made me the person I am today
We’re always on the same page

Sometimes I stop and think

"Where would I be if the stars didn't align that night"

Waves crash upon my feet as I dance upon the waves
Sand trapped between my toes as I dance around tippy toed
Sunrise lights the sky as I awake when the sun rises
I close my eyes and dream of my future as I fall quietly asleep dreaming away….

Blissful honey
Sweet tears
Upon my lips
Softly caressing
Exploding my tastebuds

Stars shine above our heads
When we lay down and go to bed
We all die every night
When we close our eyes and sleep at night
The lucky ones open their eyes
As we face another day to someone else's goodbyes

Never knew my innocence of writing as a child
Could grow into such an addiction but even more so
Therapy for myself and others around the world

When you need a moment for yourself
Take It

When you need to just relax
Do It

When you need advice
Ask For It

When you need friends and family
Surround Yourself

When you need change
Make It

Don’t be Afraid  to ask for help or take time for yourself and your spouse
Do what you need in the moment and all will fall into place

The right people will support and help you no matter
Lend a listening ear
Give a helping hand
Be a shoulder to cry on
Help you in time of need

When your young and look up at your dad
You never were thinking “I miss you” and “I’m sad”
His little girl I always was and continue to be
I hope he is proud of what I’ve become and hope he’s watching over me
I never thought I would have to say goodbye so soon
But to Heaven I release this balloon
In honor of you and all you did for me
I close my eyes and transport back to younger me
To see your face
Look into your eyes
It’s so hard to say goodbyes
But in the end it’s see you again
When I close my eyes and see you whenever I can....

The only thing helping me get through
Is knowing that we look at the same bright sky that’s big and blue filled with constellations at night turning my sadness into light
