It takes skill to articulate your silence

Words have resonance
If spoken from the heart
Wakes up another soul
Embracing with warmth
Words are precious
Which can enthuse life

Standing in the twilight zone
Reminiscing the day gone by
Time has come to adopt the night
A glimmer before night descends
Giving way to the dark night
Twinkling stars appear bright
Another chapter unfolds at day’s end

As we wonder what's beyond the sky
have we figured out what's beneath our feet
the ground that we are standing on- terra firma
we have much aspirations to fly beyond
and inhabit some of the planets in space
dare we go deeper to the core of this planet
for we may not know what it shall reveal
Are we standing on safe ground?

When words comes calling
Begging for your attention
Meddling with your feelings
Wanting to drown in them
And mix with your emotions
A potent concoction of poetry
Is splashed all over the pages
The ink spills over
And you get lost in the reverie

In the bright glare of the day
We are lost in the crowd
As night sets in
Back in our cove, contemplating
We seem to emerge
Out in the dark
Finding ourselves away from the glare
When the noises have ceased
And hear ourselves
In the dark we find us

Do we assess our relationship with this universe
and try to work at it to make it better
When we are here, there must be a purpose
How many times have we questioned it?
Or, asked the universe for a clarification
A one-to-one conversation with the forces
which govern us
Have we aligned ourselves with the celestial vibes
Or are we totally out of sync?
It's a very formidable force we are living with
That can make or break us
Why don't we go back and take a pause
To ponder over our equation with the universe
Maybe we will find the answers
To our mission on this planet

The roots that run deep are strong
Facing the harsh winter and not wither
Holding ground and waiting for spring

The universal religion called Love
I am an ardent devotee and
Although I may stumble with words
Gestures of love help me bridge the gap
Surely it’s a feeling which has to be felt
When love resides in your soul
Making it the only hymn running across your mind
Love transcends all limiting boundaries
Opening our mind to new vistas
Traveling through the journey of life
Becomes so easy with the religion of love
A sense of gratitude engulfs me
Shielding me from the prying eyes of hatred
Seek within and spread love all around
Born out of love is our existence
Continue to live and leave a world full of love
For our children look up to us as teachers
And let us teach them the religion of Love

Suddenly I wake up in the middle of night
Perspiring profusely, drenched to my skin
Finding myself in the middle of the woods
With nothing, but a bare body, amidst nature
At nature’s mercy to cover me
All of nature is standstill, not a whisper anywhere
Only the full moon lights up the thick canopy  
Faint light filtering through the thick cover
Showing me the way through the narrow strip of path
My body brushing against the thick overgrowth
Hurting me with every step, yet I move ahead
My feet started bleeding, quenching the dry earth’s thirst
In the midst of nowhere, I tread along with caution
The broad oak trees around me feel like huge pillars
Holding the canopy above, also, creating a maze
I feel someone is watching me, my body starts to tremble
I drag myself in fear and agony, only to see the forest end
Someone waiting for me with open arms,
She runs towards me and covers me with her robe,
Uncovering herself, to tend and wrap my scathed body
Her healing touch instills peace within my disturbed soul
Caressing and kissing me all over, she breathes renewed vigor in me
For I have now come out of the deepest forest where
My senses had gone numb and I was not in control of myself
Now she has changed it all
Embracing each other, we enjoy the full moon

Trees are being felled
the mountain bereft of the rich green cover
crumbles in shame.

Flowers are hope for bees
That there will be nectar
Served on their every visit

Future is cocooned in the dreams you weave

The memories are there
In a crafty serpentine position
Slithering and winding
Waiting to constrict the present
Fueling rage seethes within
Spitting fire

A moment can be an eternity
Silent invitation from deep emotions
An alien language to express
The consciousness of eager souls
Beauty radiates from the aura

Words dance at the poet’s tune
A grand symphony of feelings
Tugging at the heartstrings
The space between the words
Is where the magic lies
Music which enthralls the soul
Woven with the words
Which flowed from the pen
Birthing a poetry

No language can express love
All the alphabets seem to diminish
In front of true passion of the heart
So, don’t speak; let me fathom the love
For it’s not adulterated with hollow words
Just be in love and love will respond
It’s the matter of the heart- a heart to heart affair
Transcends all worldly affairs
Just Love!

Every day he saw her by the window
Never did she step out in the garden
Searching for something in distant land
Not aware of his presence as he passed by
Only the window to her outside world
He could read the silent remorse in her eyes
Colorful flowers bloomed in her garden
But never was she aware of the colors
She was a silent observer in another land
He could never breach the precinct of her world
Her eyes were never a window to her soul
Never lifted the veil which draped her
He could not stir any feelings in her frozen heart
The winter had never left her heart
An avalanche of sorrow engulfed her soul
Frozen in the past, not aware of the present
Searching for something in the distant land

The blue dot of ink
At the corner of the page
Reminder of the pen
That shed tears of words

The cosmic pendulum swaying
We are trying to dodge it for long
No one has ever been successful
To devise a means to be eternal
Swishing us away from here and there
No one will ever lay their hands
It will still be swinging away
When everyone will be gone
We are running against time
Before, the universe releases its grip

The veracity of truth is proved by the powerful blow it inflicts

There is magic in
A moment's indulgence

Silent moments are the most profound
When you are aware of your presence
And you are connected with inner calling
Where the body seeks the souls solace  
You are embraced with a calm feeling
Realizing the depth and dimension of silence
It’s the language to be mastered over time
You can connect the severed links
As it draws you out of the chaotic conundrum

Every day we walk towards the end
Of a phase this life has to offer
Trying to gather ourselves
As we are stretched toward all directions
So many things tugging our attention
Filled with hope, our minds
Weave so many dreams everyday
As if we are here to stay forever
But life has a different mirror
Which reflects the ultimate reality
Albeit, we do not pay heed to it
Creating our own reflection
Though, distorted it may be
We believe in it
We don’t want the transient moments to fade
Never realizing the path will end
Taking us towards a new journey

Things are falling apart
Weight has become too much
Only a few bears the pressure
How long can they hold up?
Turn of events
Have taken a wrong path
Where have we gone wrong?
We have not yet figured out
Always on the fringes
With no strong foundation
Fury raging and burning
It’s a matter of time
Before we can regroup
And plan better
Or, be reduced to ashes

Love is the most used word in our daily life
Yet, when it comes to loving, we falter
Expecting something in return for our love
Is love’ so shallow?
‘Love’: “I do not expect”.
Can we measure the depth of ‘love’?
‘Love’: “My depth is “unfathomable.”
Do we really know the meaning of ‘love’?
‘Love’: “My meaning will be unraveled to the worthy”.
Who is worthy to ‘love’?
‘Love’: “I seek the worthy and enter their soul”.
Is there any language of ‘love’?
‘Love’: “I am the undefined, words can’t contain me.”
Who can ‘love’?
‘Love’: “Everyone is welcome to my world, I don’t discriminate.”
Why is there abuse of ‘love’?
‘Love’: “I am abused when they use my name to exploit.”
Is ‘love’ losing its relevance?
‘Love’: “Love is rooted strongly and can’t be uprooted.”
What is the future of ‘love’?
‘Love”: I am not bound by the past, present and future, as I am the way of life.”
Can we be healed by ‘love’?
‘Love’: Try me, I can heal the world.”
When did ‘love’ begin?
‘Love’: “I have neither beginning nor end; I am infinite.”

Not holding anyone accountable
Preparing a ritual to ignite the past
It is not a blame game, a child’s play
The pain is real, but love waits with open arms
Shred the remnants of the plaques
He carved out a sculpture according to his perspective?
The minds which grew apart, residing in different zones
A cathartic ritual, will absolve you of the hi(s)tory
Start a fresh beginning, as love waits with open arms

Without you realizing
My forsaken heart

Thoughts woven in the mind
Becomes the invisible cloak
Wrapped around our actions
Colorful or mundane
Our choice

Silent night
Brightest stars adorning the sky
Burning away everyday

Only read words?
Or, the feelings behind them
Wrenched out by the heart
Interspersed with memories
Words tug at your senses
Only if you wish to decipher
Unwraps the inner feelings
Carrying the burden to convey
Every word is worth a read
With a will to understand them

What but love is
if you have to explain
Hidden not in words
but in good deeds

Why drive out the light
When it helps you see
A traveler from afar
Whose rays brighten you heart
Travelling from distant land
Yet to set foot on
Play the happy note
On the strings of nature
Drowns the gloominess
A signature tune
Is birthed in the spotlight
Celebrating the brightness
And welcoming the light
Feel the spark within
That keeps the love burning

Do words scare us?
When it stays inside
For too long
Tripping the brain
With unusual activities
Prancing around
Every corner of the mind
Neurons getting agitated
High voltage drama
That creates havoc
Mixed with emotions
They dissolve in our blood
Weird chemical reactions
Make us edgy
Sometimes, hallucinations
Insides reverberating
As to find a release
Tensions running high
Words upon words
Building a fortress
Not long, we hide behind them
A prisoner in the mind
The ink has to flow
Where’s the conduit?
Search for the pen
Wield the unsheathed sword
Cut across the fortress walls
Let the emotions flow
Words no more
Till the next time
For now, there’s peace

The truth has always a strong contender in contradiction

If your nectar be my poison
I will drink it with love
For my love is so pure
The poison will turn to nectar
And death will lose all hope

From the depths of yourself
You can understand
The length and breadth of life

Forever is happening now
Seize the moment
It’s between our choices
We experience forever  
Forever lasts not long
But long enough for us
Few seconds makes a difference

The journey is within
Know thyself
Haze of doubts will clear away
Soulful music will reverberate

When I am looking at the stars
I can feel the sparkle within
Makes me wish for sky
If I could walk amongst them
For now I wish upon a falling star
To welcome me every night
With the starry canvas
Nights become festive

So many words
Yet, so few which soothes the heart
Brevity is the key

Love is adorned with silence
Waiting to be accepted
Where words do not play a role
As the souls come closer
A mystery waiting to be explored

Let there be within us the desires of universe
Independent of the desires that we have etched out
Shifting with the gusts of winds, drifting us away
Changing our purpose when things don’t go our way
Steely resolve melts away with the raging fire
Taking shape and molding to a new alien form
Unable to recognize our old self anymore
Swept away by the undesired rules of this world
We have the universe within us, yet we deflect
Form the way of the universe and create a diversion
We have to realize the immense potential within
Journey which starts from within and shows the path
The way of the universe we have to take
And align ourselves with the way of the universe
Explore the celestial body, not the earthly enigma
Try solving the riddles of nature, which hold true
Invoke the soul within to understand the way of the universe

Sometimes air can be nostalgic
It brings with it familiar fragrances
When you feel someone’s presence
A whiff of it can take you back in time
Catch the memories in the air
Take a deep breath
And the moments fill your mind
Awakening the glorious days
Which, comes rushing inside you
Close your eyes
And float back to the past
Sitting alone, you feel their presence
The air is a messenger from the past
