The complications of being uncomplicated create a tangled plot in life's drama.

Every face has a story to narrate
Eyes capturing varied moments
Window to the soul gives clarity
Anecdotes written, for who can read

The skin will wrinkle
The bones will become brittle
Age will take over one day
Consuming the human formation
Voice will tremble
And diminish the ability to speak
With weak eyes, vision will be blurry
Losing the near and dear ones
Left alone without any company
There comes a moment of epiphany
That only love is eternal in this universe
We will all perish someday or the other
But the heart wrapped in love is infinite
There are not boundaries and demarcations
No restrictions to love

How much space we have for growth
When we blindly go about life
Cramming available spaces in the mind
With blindly amassed flawed thoughts
We can move no more, cornered
Left immobile and unable to escape
From the dungeon of inadequacy
And not any new ideas were allowed
To take form, or, throw out the outdated
Impenetrable through the veil
Which has hidden it so well

What you are thinking of
Is much less than
What you did not think about

Smoothed by flowing water
Friction has shaped the rock’s jagged edges
Time flows in course

From the depths of insecurity
And the heights of arrogance
There is no respite for anyone
But to remain secluded in a crowd
Only to recede in one’s own shadows

Where you can be is ‘here’
All you have is ‘now’

Brief moments of light
Illuminate our path
As we walk towards night
Sleep beckons
And we are in a dream
Swimming across a stream
Looking for the shore

The deepest of rivers
Flowed calmly throughout the years
Unaware of its undercurrent

Clouds can also bring the much needed showers to replenish your parched soul.*- Amitav

The tallest claims should have a strong foundation

Uproot me from the solitary woods
And plant me in your backyard
For, that is where I can be nurtured
And, I can be your shade, from the harsh sun*

I can read the alphabets of love
Love written all over you, I can feel with every touch
As days go by, I become aware of the unspoken language

As heart in Love is opulent
Love is not momentary
It is not infatuation
Love resides in every soul
Eluding those who are unaware

Much time is wasted
Looking for happiness
It’s not tangible
But a treasure hidden within
You have the key
To open the chambers
Where happiness resides
For a feeling which Is,
Present every moment

Behind the clouds
And washed away by showers
But the seeds of happiness

From the soul that nurtures
Feel free to be happy

All the commotion is swept away by silence
Unnecessary words spoken to create false belief
The mind conspires to create a web of deceit
Heart is not consulted and left in the corner
The bridge between the heart and mind is broken
Energy spent to formulate speeches of no meaning
All conversation become meaningless
Yet, we believe in the hollow reverberations
Until, silence sweeps away the cover of fabrication
Silence bridges the gap between the mind and heart
Again, to find semblance in the cacophony of incoherence
Let silence prevail

It’s time to seek the unknown
Bring forth a new saga waiting to be narrated
Search deep and beyond the realms
Many more place yet to be visited
Where the new ideas are yet to be explored

Why confine it
Try to realize it
Waiting for you to seek
Miracles do happen

Morning dawns on everybody
Although some are in perpetual darkness
Who, can’t bear the luscious intensity
Anchored with heavy chains of obscurity
Morning never misses a date with humanity
Yet, so many shuns the warm embrace of morning

Today, let the night rest in peace
I won’t share my day’s experience
Tired soul wants to quietly reminisce
Softly embrace me in your silence
Lilting tunes of ancient lullaby’s
Passed on through the night
Let me take refuge in your silence
A bed of reassurance of the night
And a pillow of your calmness
I can only wait to dream in peace
Awaiting the break of a new dawn
Soon, another day of hope will beckon

The song of the night
Is elegant beyond words
Hummed by the solitary soul

When we step out of the green
And the blue has been used up
What can we settle for
Except feel the barrenness around

Have a way with words
Make sure they are not wayward

Love encompasses the entire universe
It traverses so many galaxies and planets
It is infinite and can’t be restrained by dogmas
Love can’t be betrayed, as the betrayer is banished
For love is so pure, that only the loving heart can decipher
Love has no spoken words, as it is best expressed in actions
Love is not defined as it has multitude, words fall short
Don’t try to explain in love, just love with all your heart*

The life of a ‘nobody’, among everybody
As the whole world passes by without acknowledging
Lone warrior is a ‘nobody’
With the grit and determination to take on everybody
Alone but not lonely is ‘nobody’, lone warrior standing
At the gates of the kingdom of Silence
Only ‘nobody’ keeps a sane mind among the cacophony
Of all the hollow words said by everybody
This world belongs to ‘nobody’, we are just passers by

We are a vessel, which has to be emptied of the stale negative emotions and feelings. It’s up to us how quickly we can drain them out and fill it again with positive emotions, love, to feel rejuvenated, again.*- Amitav
