We are travelers on this planet
Not our permanent destination

The script is written
So many dialogues
To deliver
Many roles to play
Demanding schedule
No director’s cut
Make-up, costume
Locations and lights
Cameras rolling
Dialogues with co-actors
Romance, action, drama
Sometimes comedy
Different genres
But the stage is same
The script demands
Actor’s dedication

When the world retires
the whisper of the night sings
a sweet lullaby to the weary soul
now, weaving a web of magic
spellbound by the night’s symphony
as night descends on me

Rather, Bitter Truth, than Poisonous Lies

The dark unfathomed depths
Deepest crevices are thick dark
Lurking neath the earth’s surface
Caves, volcanoes, deep pits
The entrances without an end
We covered them for now
Lava spewing with rage
Gases and streams lay quiet
Unknown territory for us
How deep we may have dug
We've reached the skies and beyond
Can we ever go down and beyond
What lies there is a mystery
We have scratched the surface
Unknown depths are challenges
Maybe another Earth is cocooned
Waiting to blossom one day

A painting
Always on my mind
My thoughts
And imagination
Perfect,
With all the colors
Happy and glowing
Who painted it?
Or figment of my imagination
Maybe it does exist
Somewhere
In some art gallery
Or maybe lying in neglect
In some Art collector’s house
At the basement
Long forgotten
The Artist’s muse
Painted with love
Is the painting a note?
Trying to communicate
Her heart captured
Still beating
After all these years
Her feelings
Hidden under the layers of color
Why it comes in my dreams?
Was I the painter?
I may have forgotten my muse
But she still yearns for me
After all these centuries
Art is true
That lives for years

So many complaints
The concrete walls became wafer thin
Crumbling under the barrages

The cryptic scripts lay there abandoned
Written by some mystic years ago
For the world was not prepared to decipher
As it did not resonate with the times

Many words spoken
Leaves one in a quandary
Voicing their opinions
Wooing the crowds
But none touches the heart
It’s but a veil to disguise

The vacuous mind howled
Silence came to censure
Ending speculation

Those moments touched
The core of my heart
Bringing back memories
Marooned for long
When rough waves battered
The soul
Swimming aimlessly
Just to keep afloat
Paddling frantically
For years
Losing hope and strength
To carry on
Then a shudder ran down my spine
Woke me up
That touch, once again
Memories came rushing back
The hand that held me
Saved me
From turbulent waters
Felt the fresh air again
Filling me with hope
Your touch was buoyant
Now days are brighter
A thirsty soul
Feels rejuvenated again

Word for word
We keep adding the lines
Living between them
To compose more lines
Spilling out our feelings
Our moments
Etched out in ink
Once, stack of blank papers
Filled with our story
We shall wither away
But our poetry shall be there

Forever the flame of love burns
Pure love transcends time
Embracing every seeker
Holding their hand to guide
To the abode filled with peace
An indestructible bond
That embraces every heart
Being grateful for what you have
Never a moment of darkness
Every day being grateful
For, love resides in the soul and heart
Dispels all the darkness around
Guiding even the vagrant travelers
To follow the path of love

Take time to understand
For you may jump to conclusions quickly

Calling me towards you
Mesmerizing my world
Of your beauty I sing paeans
There’s festivity to celebrate

The gray wall standing
Old bricks protecting the mansion
Colorful graffiti brings change

Breach the limits and a
Deluge will sweep you away
Washing you away to oblivion
Strong undercurrents
Don’t let you get a foothold

The howling storm
Tore across the lovely rose petals
Only thorns remain

The soft rays of light
Streaming through
The veil of a lazy day
Covers yet to come off
Filters through
The windows of life
Radiant and playful
Messenger of hope
Warms the soul
Mixing with morning air
I inhale the aroma
of light

A lonely traveler
carrying the tales of distant lands
shows me the way…

Soul is nourished by love
Heart is the vault where love resides
Flowing a silent course
Invigorating our being and love decides

The salty river
flowed over the wound,
healing it
-the scars remain

When you feel the emptiness
Fill yourself with all the Love
Wash away the thirst and loneliness
With renewed energy, face the world

Ten is sum of five plus five- One and Zero

Delusions will help accomplish feats reaching the pinnacle of irrationality

So many miss the dawn
Still cloaked with the night
And the soul in your grip
Smothered heart beats feebly
The pain is palpable
Morning comes and goes
While we are busy drowning
in our own tears

Always, is forever
Are we true *always?
For it’s not always
We keep our promises
Says the lover,
“I’ll be there for you, always.”
Not always living up to expectations
Does always have an expiry date?
Always means- unfailingly, infallibly, each time & every time
It seems almost always, it’s abused
Are we always, not strong enough?
Or, do we give in to circumstances, always?
For always seems to be the most misinterpreted
I keep pondering over it, always

Walking along
Having taken the busy alley
Going nowhere

Let go of fear and apprehensions,
Bring an end to the anarchy around
Get a grip on your life by letting go
Not to hold on to the regressive
Tear away from the shackles of dogmas;
Bury your fears and march ahead
To achieve what you have always dreamt of,
Tread not on your dreams but
Look towards the flights of fantasy,
Soar higher, as there are no limits;
Imagination will give you a driving force
To live the life you have imagined,
Don’t build castles in the mind
But make this earth your foundation to,
Build the castle you always dreamt of;
You can live the way you want to,
In the castle of your dreams,
With no holds barred, but;
Only surrounded by whom you love,
Dare to dream, to create your own world,
The world will take a bow, for you have dared.

In this cosmic journey
We stop here for a moment
And blink seems an eternity
Communicating with words
Carrying in a kernel
The true essence of life
Where have the words come from
If not the legacy we carry
Which blooms in this space
Although momentarily
Our body in a transient phase
Soul carries on the journey
Words will stay back
And we shall carry on with our journey
It’s all the time we have
To speak the words of love
Chosen, to give a stage
For us to deliver the speech from our soul
Make an impact with words
For, that is what will remain

Soon the wells would run dry
Not enough to fill a pitcher
The juice of the planet depleting
When every drop counts
Precious life it holds- a magic potion
For it is the stream of life
How deep can we dig
Before we can revive the wells
Not enough
Until rains fill the Earths crucible
We cannot let the wells go dry
Nothing to drive us forward
Drops of tears will not be enough

Soaring higher and higher
in the rarefied air
wingspan of dreams
will take me there
in search of the mystical place
distanced from the known land
higher than the mountains
above the clouds
the ancient map which guides me
towards the place
now, dream will be a reality
away from the one I knew

With a deep breath
I inhaled the feelings of the earth
aroma of the fresh dew
sprayed all over me
and the soul rejuvenated
from the overnight slumber
woken up with renewed purpose
feeling alive again
breathing with the world
inducing sense of purpose
a prayer to face another day
with each breath
life is energizing again

There is an uneasy silence
Among the crowd
You can hear them breathe
And the occasional sighs
They have thronged the streets
Women, men, teenagers and children
The faces with a glare
Eye to eye, challenging the atrocities
Upheaval inside
No one wants to go back
Streets become the stage
Where emotions pour out
Everyone united
With a common cause

In the idleness of the moment
I recollect the beautiful dream
Waves of calmness tide over
Leaving truth along the shore
Once submerged in the depths

Another drink from you
With concoctions of your Love
I like to stay intoxicated

Are you talking to me?
I was in a deep slumber
Unheeded words become audible
Stirring my motionless state
I find it hard to decipher
The words, the feelings and meaning
The world around me is away from you
I have to squint from the awakening
Your sudden call to revive my feelings
Is that the same you?
The flashback of us floundering
And our inability to communicate
Did we not find the right words?
Or was it, our hearts grew apart?
Although we heard each other’s heart screaming
In agony and torn apart by the divide
Even our lips quivered, not eager to kiss
Just the vague looks in our eyes
Looking at each other, yet seeing through
Now that this new awakening
How am I supposed to react?
Let’s not converse in our usual language
And go beyond words to express our hearts
Maybe our hearts yearning to connect
Without the crutches of words
Let there be no props and only pure emotions
In the stage of our life, let’s don a new role
Worthy of true lovers

wrapped in the world of chaos
and cramped in a cave

In Life’s regime, End is usurped by a new Beginning

There is a difference between cramming the mind with information and educating oneself

Sometimes, the why’s are too many
And we do not know the how’s
Left without any answer
Faced with conundrum
Trapped in between
