Poetic T
You were my crypt kepper,
      Always standing over
                  My lonely heart.

I passed, but you were the one.

The only chime in the bell,

That beat every time you were near.

But I was always a murmer,
That you could hear.

            And even though I was

Lost too early.

   You were travelling my path,
an echo to what I was following

                   Which was you.
I walk a thin line
I teeter to both sides
From the lust I feel towards you
To the potential for love that can't be denied
I know it's inappropriate
The way I talk with you
But you get me so frustrated
And I want to see this through
Then when I tried to pry
I guess it came out wrong
You called me beautiful
Which brought the butterflies along
That's not what I wanted
But I don't know if that's true
And these feelings I have
Must be misconstrued
We're only friends
I can't cross that line
Even if it means
That you'll never be mine

Cat
My dearest streak
Of onyx lightening
My favourite blackened
Silhouette
The lovely shadow
That stalks my home
And rests her warm
Soft head
Down on my thigh
Raising a dainty
Porcelain paw
Complete with stained
Rosy paw pads
Up to my hand
For an occasional treat
Curling up next to me
Such a little thing
Slow motion blinking
And twitching ears
To convey her feelings
A feline ambassador
To the human race
My cat has lived with me since I was five years old, and I think she knows me better than anybody else. We having a really special connection, and I love her to the end of the world and back. There's so much to say about her; a novel of poetry couldn't suffice. But this is a start.

Wanderer
There is softness here
Lullabies and water lily lies
Half moon curved on trembling lips
Do I even want to know?
I sigh into the shadows were you used to reside
I almost cannot bare the weight of your echo
Solace in moonshine and borrowed time
Until the sun breaks over the mountains edge
Not to be complacent but how else should I handle this?
Wagon wheels turn with gravel sung rumble
Swinging water lily lies and a goodbye kiss

If I could give but one word of advice
It would be like corn silk to wet fingers mid-shuck
You doing your best to shake them off
Sticking all the same
You asked
A smile curves at sun wrinkled corners
Once again I fall all ripe peach juicy
Right into your calloused hands
We roll and chase, playing children in an orchard heavy soaked with late August light
Green moss intensity locks with my whiskey amber stare
Breathing you in, wanting you deeper than I can hold a secret
Golden hour glows around whispering fingertips
Sipping softly of your sweetness
Nipping at heated skin
Dizzy tilt my head back until the sky goes wild with stars
Lay me gentle into tall grass
Giving promises to love me hard

MY DEAR POETESS
CJ Love

Before the Night
Placed the moon in your hair
The Sun it shined your beauty
Everywhere!
Into my words
Dividing the seas
Drawn by Nature's
Heart felt need's
The gift of Poetry
Set my soul free
..............

P.S. Come be with me....

Welcome to America the great,
where justice does not sit sedate
as we line up to be wined and dined
by the fine orators, and Harvard debaters.

Welcome to the world were
our leaders actually care
about the general welfare
of this awesome collective.

As I expected
when inspected
there is no corruption
in public election
and moral conviction
is from legit observation
and summation
of our current situation.

Welcome to a place where
left is right,
day is night,
and the will to peace
requires a will to fight.
A place where all that I see
of a world that should be
is a bizzaro reflection
of our current reality.
