For the Fallen
Nomad Apr 2014
The fallen,
those who have fought before,
those who fought to allow us to do much more.

The fallen,
from grace and glory,
this is for the fallen, this is their story.

They who came before, fought ever so valiantly,
this we can say, ever so proudly.
Aye, 'tis true, that none ever were perfect, their sins and faults a plenty,
but they filled their hearts with courage, valor and vigor, never to be empty.

The fallen has fought, a fight so cruel,
some have fought each other, to the death was the duel.
Never have we faced such a foe,
a foe such as this,
for if we take them lightly,
then our aim we are sure to miss.

The fallen has told us of untold treasures,
but those were just stories of old, of unknown pleasures.
We've yet to find, even a hint, a speck, a sign,
for it is tonight in the fires of the hottest Hell, tonight in blood we dine.

The fallen stood bravely,
against the wind and cold,
they stood their ground against the fires, their bodies weak but spirit bold.

Oh how we are, not much like the rest,
but it is our goal, our aim, to be one of the best!
We stand here today, on the same ****** soaked soil,
we shall never waver, never give up, never surrender,
because we fight, for another day to be together.

One day, on the final battle of this God-forsaken war,
we shall finally have to cry, weep, no more.
Death, our final enemy, shall be at last be put down to rest,
and God our head shall say, "Children, you've done your best."
And that day the fallen shall rise,
no more to plow the farm,
no more shall we worry, no more the threat of harm.

I pray for us still,
the fighters that soldier on,
for this song was for the fallen, the ones that are dead, and gone.
Can I get a good Oorah?

The Voice I Heard
Nomad Apr 2014
There's a voice I heard
echoing in the wind,
the voice I heard,
that repeats and rescind.

There's a voice that calls,
calls to me, my love,
the voice that calls to me and says, "Come back, fight your way to me!"

There's a voice out there,
that rings sweet and true,
a voice out there, that tells me what to do.

The voice can sing,
a melodious tune,
it rings through the nippy air,
as I stare at the face of the moon.

This is the voice that calls my name,
this is the voice who stays the same,
through age and time, it doesn't matter,
for when ever she calls, it makes me sadder.

Oh wondrous siren, how you sing your sweet lullaby,
but how I long for a single touch,
but how I know, for when I do, I surely shall die.

The voice I heard, and hear yet still in my head,
the laughter, that echoes, echoes, and echoes, even as I lie in bed.

The voice I hear, that calls to me,
is a voice I wish to see.

The voice of sweet spring and summer,
the voice that belongs
to only her.

I heard...
Nomad Apr 2014
So a little bird told me,
okay not a bird really,
that you were having trouble,
okay so I read it, lie number double.

I know it's hard, what you're going through,
but don't take me wrong, it's not like I know you!
Sure we don't know each other at all, in fact some say its rather creepy,
but it hurts my heart to know, that some where you're getting weepy.

So look i'm here to help, through what ever message I hope to send,
it's my duty as a privilege, to one day call you friend.
I hope that this helps in some small way,
to help ease the pain of the day.

You said it's been hard I know,
but blaming others or yourself, is quite absurd.
I wish you well, or even better,
consider this, a sort of love letter.

And take to heart every word I've said,
because I meant each and every one, from heart to head.

Now sleep in peace my little bird,
I know your troubles some,
but only from what I've heard.

Tonight is Bottoms Up!
Nomad Apr 2014
It's not what you think
in any sense at all,
cause last time I drank,
down to the depths of the stairs I fall!

Fell would be more correct,
if I had any sense at all,
but oh well, oh well,
at least I'm standing tall.

Tonight is bottoms up,
no drinks or games tonight,
it's just time for me to get a good view,
of the twinkling starlight.

The ones I see up there,
way up in the sky,
it's the one I love to see,
the one that's in your eye.

Bottoms up,
my heart turned all around,
If I'd dare to put in in your hand,
I know that it'll stay found.

Bottoms up,
I have no worries tonight,
cause we have each other as friends, maybe more,
nothing to worry about, not now, so let's stay till morning's light.

Bottoms up everyone,
let's spread the cheer,
tonight think nothing more of troubles,
do away with the fear.

Just think.
Tonight is bottoms up.
I'll pour you some brand of happiness,
just go and grab your cup.

And smile.

The Line
Nomad Apr 2014
Draw the line,
now make it bigger,
bigger than that, now draw it with rigor!

Draw the line on which you stand,
know your rights,
make your demands.

Line it up, nice and straight
shoulder to shoulder you stand,
line it up, and stand your ground, now is not the time to hesitate.

The line you drew is yet only so big,
the giants you face are huge, and will try to beat you down,
but don't let them intimidate you, as for the trenched line you still dig.

The line, the line,
hold, I say! Hold the line!
It's going to get hairy,
before it becomes fine.

The line, the line,
do not falter, be brave!
Give it all and then some, just as the others before had gave!

The line you stand on,
will be with you always,
the line that you stand for, will soon be gone.

Who will cross it?
Them? The enemy, the one's who seek to destroy the ones you hold dear
behind that precious line?
Or will you stand, cross and fight to protect what you call, "Mine!"

The line is drawn, the war defined,
'tis upon your honor, blood, and tears,
so fought and bled, by you and comrades alike, sharing victories, defeats, and fear.
So here away, your soul to sign,
all and more you hold dear, just behind the line.

Haven't you Heard?
Nomad Apr 2014
Haven't you heard
of a silly little word?
No, little bird,
it's not you at all,
how ever that was quite smart of you,
smart of you doll.

Haven't you heard,
that the world's out to get us?
They'll do what ever they can, and say what they want,
just to put you under the bus!

Haven't you heard,
there's a war going on,
we fight the good fight, but now we hold for dawn?
It's hard and brutal, but onward we do march to-day,
We march, for our friends and neighbors,
even for our enemies we say.

Haven't they heard,
that we're not perfect, but we don't try to be,
that one day we'll see the Promised Land,
the Promised land we'll see.

Haven't they heard,
that there's a word,
that we all know and love.
It's the word, that we use so lightly,
think they know what we're thinking of?

We've heard it all before,
how love conquers all, but shatters on the floor,
but how can I stand quietly by,
as I see the love all stand to die?

Hear, hear!
Hear this cry!
Beware thine heart and not shed not a tear from thine eye!

Keep your chin up,
chest flat,
always know, you can do better than that.
But you're perfect,
with all your little flaws,
so fight for yourself and the others, with skin, nails tooth,
And when this fight is over, I'll see you by the corner booth.

Or haven't you heard?
We're A-L-L just a bit disturbed?

Oh but don't you worry,
no don't you fret,
we'll may lose our battles,
but we'll win this war yet!

Don't-cha know?
Nomad Apr 2014
Don't-cha know,
that where ever you go,
it'll be okay,
from everything you do, to what you say.

Don't-cha know,
that you can stop worrying and take it slow,
that it'll be okay,
It's a great change of pace, wouldn't-cha say?

Don't-cha know,
that the sun still shines tomorrow, the moon will still be aglow?
There's always tomorrow, a brand new (wondrous!, glorious!) day,
that the beauty isn't out there, but in you, everyday.

Don't-cha know,
you're a wonderful person, why? Because I said so!
Listen here, you silly little things,
you're just a small little baby, thinking they have wings!

It's time you knew,
about what you can do,
it's getting rather odd, that I have to tell you.

Know.
That you can smile, and laugh, you can dance, and jump,
you can hear the music around you, breath it in and feel the pump!
But at least the most, which I dare say you most certainly have of,
this my friends you hold near and dear, I say is...
Love.

So now you know, what you knew before,
just this time chin-up and smile,
even for a little while,
as you make your way and through the door.

Because today's the day, like everyday,
that you make a difference to someone in some way,
go against the world of misery, away with pain and fear,
it's time to rise up for you, for me, your fellow friend and peer,
it's time to show and share, what you know you hold deer,
it's time to go, and let it go,
It's time for love,
Don't-cha know?

Black and White
Nomad Apr 2014
Black and white
Two simple colors
black and white
to take in or reflect, all the others.
That's what it is, scientifically.
But nothing really ever is,
as so definitely.

But black and white.
So simple and clean.
You know what happens,
you know what they mean!

Wrong and right,
ying, yang,
the left, the other left,
and the mute that sang.

Black and white,
simple to me, and maybe for you.
But give me gray...
well, I'm not exactly sure what to do.

Give me 50 shades,
and see what comes next.
A puzzled face followed by horror and shock,
don't mind me, that's just reflex.

Grey area,
they say to me,
and that's got me shaking,
shaking in my knees.

Just give me black and white.
Something I see clear.
Simplicity in all its complex rhyme and rhythm,
a clean simple answer, that's all I hold dear.

I Wish I Knew
Nomad Apr 2014
You.
I wish I knew,
This is when the beginning of my regrets when,
Things happen and I couldn't be there,
Sometimes Life just isn't fair.

We'd complain and whine,
Even when we're having a good time.
But some how I wondered,
I didn't know.

If only you gave me a chance,
maybe I wouldn't be asking for a second dance.
It's not fair,
for one so young,
to have such a heavy heart, hiding behind those fragile lungs.

You.
I. Wish. Oh I wish I knew...
if only you told me,
but now, like then,
I don't know what to do.

I wish I knew.
Because now, I'll miss you.
Dedicated to a few friends of mine. And it's also a general plea to the public that when you need an someone to talk to. I'm there. I want to be there for you. If you want me to shut up and listen. I will. Ask my opinion, I'll give it.
Just don't, for the Love of God and yourself. Don't be someone's regret.
Be there. Life'll seem just a little more.
Fair.

Nomad Apr 2014
So, lets say,
you started the story looking for an answer,
a key or something or other,
then you really needed friends
to depend on each other.

So you found some along the way,
making great laughs, and through great trials,
had a great adventure lets say.
But the story isn't done
because that just wouldn't be fun,
so some had to leave and alone you were again.

So lets say now your alone, and you miss what you had,
so that kinda leaves,
pretty stinkin mad.
So you throw a fit, against yourself and the world,
You got so mad you really had to.
Hurl?

Well you got it out of your system,
the most literal sense possible,
but you found you were back on your feet,
that you were still able.

You remembered what you lived for,
to find that answer, or key,
so you went to most unlikeliest of places
you found a mirror!
A shiny mirror indeed!
And Lo and behold you said,
"The answer, was me."
Aye in the revelation of your journey you come to realize,
that your greatest enemy and friend,
was the one you had to love and despise.

Ah what a lovely contradiction,
how could anyone have found such grandeur,
and such a deadly crucifixion?
But alas it's true,
the answer was you,
so you came to realize.
But what did you do with the answer,
the key you once held dear?

Did you lock it back up,
to hide in fear?
Or did you show the world,
what you're made of,
did you show them what you could do?
When you gave them love?
In a world full of hate and misery,
did you find the answer true and complete,
when you finally said, "The answer is me"?

What have you found?
Is it worth more than treasure?
Is it worth more than gold?
Just what exactly have you found?
What dear, do you hold?

Nomad Apr 2014
You like him
He likes you.
But it's the facts your after, that bothers you?
That he's human, like all the others,
he was either raised right, or had too many mothers.

And you little princess,
found the man of your dreams,
the man of your...or so it seems.

You're so confident,
yet full of doubt,
isn't that a little bit of something,
you could do without.

Take full faith, and take full charge,
you two together, should be together,
why on earth would either share with the rest at large?

So lets agree,
your both hopelessly and tragically in love.
So what.
You gonna sit on that, and watch it shrink?
Or you gonna fight for it and care to make it grow, turtle dove?
What's it gonna be?
Shall we agree?
Yeah. I'm not saying punk out, but if you feel that's best...well. Who am I to handle the affairs of love?

it ain't as bad as it seems,
it ain't as bad as they make it to be,
it ain't as bad as the dreams.

It ain't too bad,
the way the world spins,
It ain't too bad,
that we all live in our sins.

It ain't bad,
what we all do here,
It ain't bad
that we promise change,
sometime next year.

It's bad enough,
we've got other worries to care,
it's bad enough,
that we have to be careful, lest they stare.

It's bad.
When we say it ain't too bad,
cause when is it finally going to hit you,
that bad just went to worse?

Bad, boy.

Bad enough, to send your dreams in a twirl.

Just a little bit,

this is how, we work, at most,
a little bit here, some more over there,
we've got crazy hidden,
under our hair.

We're a little crazy,
inside and out,
little bit crazy,
without a doubt.

So sing with me,
for a little while,
how sane we are while we're alive,
hurry it up to slow it down, before it runs on the out style!

Crazy people don't think that they're crazy,
you and I, we're not crazy,
there fore we're not too crazy.

Early
Nomad Apr 2014
"Early to bed,
early to rise,
fish all day,
make up lies"
Give me a reason,
not to greet the brand new day,
give me a reason,
a reason I say!

The sun comes out everyday!
To smile and tease,
to give us light for but a little while,
that's reason enough for me
to sit and smile!

The moon, it glows, and boy ain't it pretty?
It dances in the night time dew,
have a breath of fresh night air,
heck, why not take two?

I've got a God, who loves me completely,
He sent his Son who died on the cross,
to take my sins and forgave me.
Yet I squander away His precious gift and name,
only to play in this worldly game.

But I'm not fooled thinking it's early,
everyday I think,
time to get a move on,
so I wake up early,
just to see the light of Dawn.

Better be early,
or you'll be late,
because when things start happening,
you're going to want to be ready,
and not hesitate.

Survivor
Nomad Apr 2014
You are part,
of a generation
one that is great, mighty, powerful, strong.
Fearful.
Near the top, the apex, but not yet there,
we've poisoned ourselves, from the ground we stand,
to the much needed air.
If...no, when, we survive our first few years,
just think, it really was worth the first  months of tears.

Now think of the times, we've fallen,
so that we could just stand,
do you remember, the effort it took,
the damning demand?

Now think of the times you've bumped, fallen,
scraped your ****** knee,
how bout that times ran your bike through the yard, up the street,
and forgot to watch where you ran, into that stupid tree.

The times you thought you were invincible,
powerful and mighty,
you knew you were right, though your moods were rather,
flighty.

And now your here, the ranks have become a little thinner,
everyone's competing for something
to be an ultimate winner.
They want to stand on top, just as you have once,
they don't want to die,
because their a dunce.
They think they're smart, or strong, or whatever,
to think it mattered once, only that it never.

You're a survivor,
you have to fight to live,
barbed wires, to picket fences,
you've put up walls, behind more defenses.
So let me tell you something my friend.
As you crawl your way up to the top,
watch where you leap,
or you'll just end up a flop.

You're a survivor,
a light unto the rest,
you're living proof my friend,
that you're able to pass the test.

Show them your mettle,
your battle scars,
show them what your made of,
that there's no limit, not even the stars.
Show them the dents in your tested armor and shields,
show them the power of love and understanding, both of which you wield.

Show them what it's like,
what it's like to fall and fly,
help your comrades up,
tell them.
It's do. Or die.

Because you're a survivor.

To Try Again
Nomad Apr 2014
This should be a common theme
of your life
should be funnier than some *****-nilly,
silly little meme. (Mee-m)
It should be more inspirational than the battle cry from Brave Heart.
It should be more touching than the spiel from Charlie Chaplin's speech.
It should be more than just a little mantra you repeat in your car,
this should be more rewarding than Tiger Woods winning by par.

You get knocked down?
Get back up.
You get pushed?
Time to shove back.
You think they'll give you a quarter,
or a penny for your thought?
Make it worth so much more,
because the next place that you'll show them, is straight out the door.
Because I know,
life's rough, take it from me,
in fact don't even, if you haven't by now, then you will, you see.

And when that time came,
or comes back around,
you better think back to these words here,
and get ready for the rebound.
If you've waited for New Years to come back,
then you're already way
way
off track.
Get into shape, starting today,
do what needs doing, no time to delay.
You can sleep when you're dead, they say,
well let it be, be as it may,
so work hard,
then harder still.
Show that you're tough,
not afraid to fight,
better hold on, cause it's gonna get rough,
they got you all wrong, time to show them who's right.

You ready now?
You're not alone, we're with you 100 per cent.
Don't wait for an extra shove, shove yourself back up, time to make
a special little dent.

Are you ready now, my friend?
Are you ready. To Try Again?
Again?
And Again?

I'll pray for you, and stand by you, all the way.
Even until the end.
Go get'em.

Burning Bridges
Nomad Apr 2014
Burning Bridges you say?
Just want to end it all? Something of a get away?

Well that's a solid plan,
best of luck to you my friend.
Or how about this.
Fix the bridge, just don't cross it again,
because it's such a harsh demand.
The toll is high,
on the other side.
But don't worry,
just fix the bridge
and Leave it there.
Let the troll under the bridge, continue to blow hot air.

Burnt bridges tend to leave scars,
and we all ask why after the ashes all settle down,
and we're still screaming their name all across town.
Burning bridges, playing with fire,
it's a wonder when we'll stop, when we ever tire?

It's true, sometimes, if not always, we're making mistakes,
it's true, some of us just can't learn, some of us don't want to,
but burning bridges isn't something we shouldn't do!
Let's learn from the bridges that we once crossed before,
let's continue to build bridges, we need to build more.

Because this is our time,
to learn and not forget,
to make mistakes, get messy, and learn,
because in life, it's only memories and experience that we earn.
So quit burning bridges, just get over it,
then don't hold the rail of grudges, and help rebuild it.

If this makes sense, then you know what I mean,
you can be a child, you can be 109 or just a teen.
But burning bridges isn't something we should do,
I wouldn't want to burn my little island with fire, would you?

To know what you can't buy
Nomad Apr 2014
You've heard this spiel, once or twice,
or too many times before
but now hold on! Don't reach for that door!
I've got to tell you, a small little story,
okay maybe a poem, but don't you worry.

There's a man out there, that doesn't mind to be poor,
Somewhere a woman out there, huddles cold and hungry on the floor,
but somewhere they know, that there's a happier place,
somewhere they know, they'll have a happier face.
Somewhere a child, knows that they'll be food in abundance you see,
somewhere they know that they're life is full of flavor, not just redundancy.

okay, maybe that was rather low-key...er whatever that means

So think of this,
pay attention or else you just might miss
the important thing
that you can't buy.

Happiness.
no it wasn't an excuse to make you say Ha-*****.
Love.
Friendship.
The little things in life that you can't buy.

Help someone,
but why stop there?
There's people to save, so start today my friend,
because everyone needs someone, in the end.

You can't buy friendship,
it doesn't come in a bottle,
You can't buy love,
it must be complete and full, ups and downs, not gently and coddled.
You can't buy happiness.
Because. Those aren't the memories you want to last,
it's a moment that you know, you don't want to let go too fast.

Oh yeah. That moment.
May you have many of those,
I hope that you'll never let them go, and keep them close.
May your memories of them be ever fond,
of the people you've helped to smile, the friendships, the bond.

I don't know how to explain why you just can't buy them.
So find out yourself, shouldn't be a problem.

it's a shame we take such pride in things, that waste our precious times.
Let's hear the truth, spoken from our lips,
in fact lets say it form our soul,
let it emanate from our head and even past our hips.

The Truth is,
Jesus is the way, the truth, the light,
you want to disagree? I"m not going to fight.
I'll give you my love, and blessings upon you,
may peace and forgiveness follow, and be with whatever you do.
Just let me keep my Faith, and allow me to pass it to you.
I won't force it, know that's recipe to take a fall,
I just wanted to plant a small little seed, one little seed, that's all.

So forgive me if I came out brash,
I just rather prefer word-of mouth, than than the tag-of hash.
G'night my friends, my brothers and sisters,
all of you from all the other mothers and misters.

Liar Liar
pants on fire,
burns up slow, but heats up fast,
soon it's nothing more, than memory in the past.

The truth stays forever,
forever and always, like love,
so rightfully naive.
Because Love and us, we have the right to believe.

A New Day
Nomad Apr 2014
Today?
You've had problems, maybe one
maybe more,
maybe you've had a sour note,
shriek like banshees, at your door.
Maybe it's been scary, worse than a pop-up scare,
maybe you really wish, you really wish, you weren't there.

Tomorrow?
It's a new day, and brings more than a few guarantees,
The sky will always blanket the Earth,
the beautiful sky, always over the bright shiny seas.
The sunny sun, comes out to play,
even when it hides behinds a few looming clouds, still it shines, every day.
Tomorrow, you'll have a reason to smile,
because you lived another day.

Whatever is happening today,
or whatever happened before,
just know my struggling friend, that there are happier days in store.
Don't be sad, for not to long at least,
because even the might, terrible things, must sleep, so lie the beast.

Just you wait, for that brand new day.
So wait, if you'd like, wait with me and stay.

To say...
Nomad Apr 2014
I want.
Nope, I did it again! Grrr. (Bad dog sit!)
I * *need * you. To say.
What you need to say.
Can you do that for me?
No better yet,
can you do that for yourself?

Can you honestly face yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself,
that yes, Ladies.
You're beautiful.
Each and every single day?
That you're just as smart as the next woman, if not smarter.
And that you're just as capable as a guy for that job.
That you are not property,
that you are either someone's love of their life
and not their love life.
Can you tell your friends, what you don't even tell your shadows?
Can you say that?

And Guys! C'mon now!
Yes. *Some
...okay most, ladies like some muscle on their guy, sure.
Same thing with us and our steak, gotta have meat!
Now you don't need the abs, they'll love you anyway,
say what you need to say.
To yourself, that you're okay, and the others are fine with that.
That your friends don't need you to do stupid stuff to be cool.
That Drinking and Driving is fine,
that that next joint they'll be skipping work or class for isn't worth it.
And especially this,
you need to say, I don't care if you scream (yeah scream) it at yourself,
that she's worth,
so
much
MORE than what you're giving her right now.
But you know what? She's okay with what she's got.
To say...that "Yeah. I'm lucky."
Not the other ****** way around.

So let's recap, go back to start, don't pass go,
let's do this again, nice and slow.
Are you comfortable, to say to yourself, what you need to hear?
Are you ready now, to lose the things you once held dear?
It's a culture shock, that's what it's about,
but if you don't change your life right now you ***, wow are you going the other route?!
Yeah I dare,
I dare to say, that you can be better than this!
I dare to say, that this isn't hit or miss!
I'm saying hit life dead on, fast and hard!
Sweep up the table, like playing card!
"Say what you need to say!"
So a singer once told me,
"Say what you need to say!"
What you NEED to say,  not want you see?

So, after you read this, go find a mirror, or at least something shiny,
and talk to yourself, anything like this, "Hello Me."
"Hello me, it's been a while,
I haven't been hip to the latest style.
Yeah well maybe those shoes out on the street,
yeah those fine (expensive) shoes are making a beat.
But y'know it really doesn't matter now
be it the way I dress, the way I style, no way, no how,
because I want...No. I NEED to make a change, to me y'know?
Cause some one once told me, I've still got a long way to go.
The Show's not over, and it's been pretty boring,
and the fans seem to be leaving, it's me their ignoring.
I don't want to be a star,
no far from that,
I need to be The Star.
I want to make a change in myself, to help others too,
because I know I can do better, I've got so much work to do!
But that's fine, I'll handle the blood, sweat and tears,
I'll work my way up and over, even if it takes a hundred years.
I'll find the love of my life, and they'll love me too,
and we'll be the best we can be, because that's what we do!
We'll have kids, maybe just pets,
So here's to me, Me. I'm placing all my bets."

Thank you Jesus, for hearing a small, scared prayer, for hopes of rapture,
I pray that you'll lead these stray sheep,s next to sweet water and pasture.
Myself included.
May I never stray,
and by you, Lord, shall I forever stay.
This. And more. Is, for now, Is what you need To Say.
To Say.
Yes.

It's okay
Nomad Apr 2014
It's okay to scream and shout,
to whine and pout,
to go ahead and pull your hair all out.
I've seen it before, I've done it once or twice,
I've seen the things, that happen, when people aren't nice.

It's okay, to throw a fits,
sometimes it leads, to throwin' fists.
Sometimes we'll throw more, in to the air,
sometimes it just, won't ever stay there.

It's okay.
To cry.
It's okay, for a tear in your eye.
Man or woman, boy or girl,
we all get hurt, in this big-small world.

But here's what's not okay, ever while you live,
never give up trying, because you've got so much more to give.
I've seen you give, so much love.
When friends think of happy times, it's the times with you they think of!
So don't give up! That's never okay!
You've got to keep fighting, to live another day!
Back down sometimes, if the fight's to hard,
but rise up stronger, play that ace card!

So it's okay.
I know that it'll be so.
I've got Faith in Jesus, and I've faith in you, you know?

This one's for the Fighters
Nomad Apr 2014
Fight on, fight on,
carry on the weight.
The world maybe
upon you shoulders,
but you've a place to be so don't be late.

Fighters fight,
for a reason
that is their own,
but the misconception here is
they think that they're alone.

Fighters fight on!
Let nothing stand,
stand in your way,
let nothing stand,
so stand this day!

Fight for whatever reason that maybe,
take up arms! Join the ranks, stand together, you and me!
Join your brothers and sisters,
as they fight the good fight.
Many are alone, scared, in the dark,
it's our job now,
to turn on a light.

To the fighters out there,
everywhere.
Fight on, fight hard,
even when it seems all is lost,
remember the your ace in the hole,
the joker card.

It's a word that is (or very well should be)
known by all,
when it is spoken, shared, and used,
evil takes a fall.
I hope you know the word,
I'm speaking of.

That's right my friend.
The power.
Of love.

So fight on.

My Fight
Nomad Apr 2014
This. Is my fight.
But oh boy is it rough.
I expect I'll bleed, i'll get scarred, but you know what? Tough.
Now time to explain what this fight's all about,
I'll take anyway, I'll take any route.
See I'm a mercenary, I'm up for hire,
I can fight all day and never tire.

Your fight is mine,
so you'll never be alone.
I'll give it all I got, give me two sticks and one stone.
I'll share it, so steady your aim,
cause when we fight, remember, after this, nothing's the same.
I'll fight with, but never for,
try to change that, I'll show you the door.

My fight.
Isn't against you personally.
But get in my way, or hurt the others, you'll have to answer,
answer to me.
I won't judge you,
that's not my business,
I just set the meeting between you, and the guy Up Stairs.

My Fight.
Will be for the wronged,
the tortured and forgotten.
I fight where I'm needed most,
as often as I can.
But I know I can't save them all,
for I'm only just one man.
But i'll do my best, the best of what I can do,
I'll fight a good fight, that's me.
How about you?

My fight,
is yours, and yours will be mine.
I'm ready to go, when ever you say,
so join the ranks, get in the line.

This...
is OUR fight now.

A Child
Nomad Apr 2014
Do you know what it's like,
to be a child?
Remember what it's like,
to know ab-so-lute-ly diddly and squat?
Blibber here, jabber there,
and when we got hungry, blew nothin' but hot air!

But now it's different you see, we can't be children anymore,
at least that's what they tell us, when we leave the front door.
Have to grow up, be brave and strong,
know what's right, to do know wrong.
To grow up, get married, maybe have children of our own.
But there's no difference, we're still children,  then and now, just not as alone.

A child still needs guidance no matter what age,
a child still needs help, no matter the stage.
So don't give up, on you or your own,
because a child still cries, when they feel most alone.

For the sake of the child, that hides in your heart,
don't let your love, ever grow apart.

Somewhere
Nomad Apr 2014
Gotta start somewhere
So lets start at home.
Home.
Is where the heart is right?
So where was mine?
Well I shared it a lot,
gave bits and pieces here or there,
came back to get them,
woops, vanished, thin air.
That's fine by me,
Got a pretty big heart anyway,
so I had to start somewhere.

I gave it to my family.
I owe them my life.
It wasn't easy mind you,
full of hardships and strife.
But it's made me tough, the person I needed to be,
but then I found a place, where I could finally see.
That the person that needed love the most, was me.

Yeah selfish as that may seem at first,
there were many times, where crying did no good,
I was rather close to have my bubble burst.
So I started with me, and found my Savior,
He taught me to live life, well, and safe, and be a life with flavor.
Maybe not those exact few words,
nothing few or small at all.
But you know. I started somewhere,
somewhere I started
to enjoy life.

So somewhere I began to smile
smile just a bit more.
Somewhere I knew, I had a lot more open doors.

So somewhere I tell you,
you gotta start there.
If you gotta start anywhere.
Better start
somewhere.

Nomad Apr 2014
Honestly
Can't we just have
A little bit of honesty?

Surely needed,
need it we do.
But always hard to be asked from
from me and you.

Try as we might,
we still want to be right,
we'll not lie down, not without a fight.

Truth will hurt, more times than not,
but truth be told, it's the truth we forgot.

I love her
I don't know why.
I love her,
from her soul through her eyes.
She's innocent,
at least as far as I can tell,
I love her to death,
to save me from hell.
God knows that we both love her,
but only God knows only if we're meant for each other.

So I sit here alone,
thinking to myself.
Conflicted and confused,
I sit here thinking alot, not at all amused.

God I love her
I don't know why.
So I sit here and pout, hefting one last sigh.

*sigh

Decisions Decisions
Nomad Apr 2014
Decisions Decisions,
it all takes precision.
To do this or that,
teeter here, maybe totter-tat!
Decisions Decisions,
how many we must make,
decisions decisions, we give back what we take.

Take a step, leave your print,
take up the sun, leave your shadows.
Give a smile, leave an impression,
all these little things, to learn a  big lesson.

Decision's Decisions,
we're always given choices,
two choices, maybe more,
I'd rather have my freedom of choice, rather than standing at a locked door.
Decision's Decisions,
You know when one door closes, another one opens?
For me, I prefer the windows,
the smaller but clearer choice is for me.

We're given choices,
do one or the other,
so think about this,
a small food for thought
who do you make your choices for, who makes your decisions
or have you already forgot?

We Have...
Nomad Apr 2014
We have
gone through and through the plans of our lives,
plans for me, plans for you,
we have
discussed in great length just what we wanted to do.
We have gone to parties together, little ones, just enough for two.
I've held your hands, hugged your shoulder,
and through out the years, we have gotten just a little bit older.
We have
gone through our arguments,
our fair share of disagreements together,
but we've always stuck through, for worse or for better.
We have
parted ways
just to come back again,
we came full circle, to talk about the way-back when.
When we were young, and foolish,
like we still are today.
Springtime is here, no time to delay.
We have
laughed, yelled, and cried together,
we have enjoyed each and everyday, suffered through each and every whether.
We have
stuck it out. Through and through.
For worse or for better.

But now it's come a time, my dear ol' gal,
where I want you forever, and I won't share with any other pal.
We have
We have indeed.
I long to keep you, just with me,
yes I'm a jealous man, jealous you see.
Because One day, I want to tell my friends, and maybe our children,
that when we first met,
we fell in love,
and now we can say.

We have.
um. Lol?

Alone
Nomad Apr 2014
Alone
You never have to say
that it was someone's fault,
only your own.
Alone,
you don't have to worry about loved ones in the cross-fire,
you'll take the heat, the blame, the ridicule, the trails,
all alone, no rank...no file.
Alone
you sit, you wonder, you cry
no shoulder to lean on,
no one to ask...why?

Well my friend, look up, don't fear.
It's time you've seen the bluey sky, so clear.
I know that being alone has taken it's toll,
your angry, confused, your bitter heart, blinded your eyes, black as coal.
You'll fight me, push me away, unfamiliar to such
such damning kindness.
You desperately ache for a touch of human skin, telling you
you're alive and human too.
Well, my friend, if you'll let me. That's exactly what I'll do.

I'm not God, I'm not sent by him to be a glowing angel,
I'm just a guy, who sees the world from a different angle.
Believe me, there's lots to go and hang your head down low for,
but believe me too when I say, life, is so worth living, when you open the door.
And look...
You don't have to be alone anymore.

Together
we can be friends, we can go see the world from a far with one look,
or we can just sit at the park, read a few good books

Together
we can find more friends, to join our little party,
or it can be just you and me.

Together
we'll conquer the world, have it dance in our hands,
or we'll spread the word of peace, far into distant lands.

Where ever you go, whatever you do,
while you count your blessings and say your "Amen"
Just know, that you'll never have to be alone. Ever. Again.

Together.
Nomad Apr 2014
Whose fault is it, that we are like this?
In these, gelatinous bodies that slosh around when we move here or there,
when we bruise so easy, bleed, just about everywhere?
Well, before you jump to conclusions, I'm fine thank you,
but what I mean is that we're rather a tell-tale kind of people, you and I,
if you read a book, you can read a person, just takes a careful eye.

If you want something to blame,
and you look around and blame everything, maybe even yourself,
does it really, ever help?
C'mon, get real, get up, and open your eyes,
wipe the dirt off, and look up, at the big blue sky.
Quite the blame game, it's getting really old,
it's never helped anyone, ever, or some I'm told.
So get up, get up, get back up on to your feet,
it's time to show them, just how tough you can be.
I won't give you a thing, than a helping hand,
with nothing but your trust, is all that I ask for.

Trust. A hard thing to ask for, from one you don't and will probably
never know.
But trust, is a long road. Are you willing to see where it'll go?

So spread not blame, and share not one.
Time to get back into the fight, the battle's just begun.
Go in peace, but prepare for war,
it seems the clouds roll quickly, conflict...upon our door.

A Silent Battle Cry!
Nomad Apr 2014
A silent battle cry! Indeed a whimper so loud.
Let the deafening silence, engulf the screaming crowd!
Let there be a raging peace through out the world so round,
let the war rage on, without a bullet, without a sound.
Take a look around you, can't you see the terror?
Haven't you seen my friend, that this peaceful war has made an error?

Listen here, and listen well,
listen to what the silence has to tell.
It whispers and shouts,
it whimpers and pouts.
The war rages on, ever silently,
tell me you hear it! Don't let it be!

Find some time, to listen to yourself speak,
and perhaps you'll notice just sort of havoc you actually reek.
Or perhaps you're perfect, and I mistook you for another,
then my sincerest apologies, my sister, my brother.
For I fight for a chance, a chance that others may cry out,
I await the day, where the lame and the mute, may one day shout!

So I say to you all,
be you tiny or tall,
I beg you to listen for that silent Battle Cry,
and do not for the sake of humanity, let that voice die.
For the war wages on, with you in the crossfire,
it's time for you to take up arms, which side be you, the truth or the liar?

Behold, behold! The Trumpet doth sound!
Do you hear it? The silent cry around?

The Hidden
Nomad Apr 2014
They scamper about, dashing through the shadows
they're in every tree, under each meadow.
They'll never admit, to their shame so large,
about the fear they have, of a power in charge.
So they work through the night, laying waste where they may,
but disappear just as quick, as quick before the break of day.
Mind your footing, and steel your mind,
don't believe the stories, of things that creep behind.

Guard your heart, for the hidden chase after,
be brave now poor soul, do not fear their laughter.
The hidden are strong by the numbers in the shadows,
but have no friends, when the light reveals what was hidden in those.

Take courage, be not afraid, there's much more to be said of the right,
if only you'd wait to see the light.
Stand tall, stand firm, among the ranks, with your friends and family near,
fight the shadows, the hidden, the tempters! Fight for all you hold dear!

The hidden shall melt away.
Away in the glorious sunlight.
And at the start of a brand new day,
may we never forget, the struggle...our fight.
Against.

No more, I say!
Nomad Apr 2014
No more shall you say
"Why has this happened to me?"
Because tough, Jesus asked his Father why the Forsaken one was He.
He died on the Cross, to take your sins,
and now He asks you to count your blessings and don't let the Devil count his wins.
You'll lose, you'll falter, you'll stumble and fall,
but that doesn't mean you're beaten, or lost, no. Not. At. All.

No more shall you weep,
huddled on the floor or when you go of to sleep!
No more shall you stand by to take each blow, without so much as a fight,
no more shall you wait in the shadows, scared of the light.

No more will I stand by and watch a stranger friend have to suffer,
no more shall I sit idle and lame, while the others have no such buffer.

So here I stand,
I offer you my hand.
Take it in friendship,
take it with love,
Because this is the command,
from my Heavenly Father, God, up above.

Stand up, take charge.
Time for the little, to be the large.
