You can only win this battle
if you are willing to fight.

You can only see clear
when the fog has left your sight.

You can find the courage
to do the things you must do.

Look deep inside your heart.
You will find the answers of truth.

Believe in yourself.
And the rest will follow to.

Oh, come on you black-eyed
***** Night. Spite me
with sleep. Strike me, like
a cottonmouth. Sing me
your dark song, like a footfall
in my hallway, like a night watch-
man dropping his lantern,
a last turn of the fan, a whisper
of a mystery, a kiss with wisteria
and moonshine on your breath.
Let my evening's quiver leave
Leave my private chamber of fear
I hold in tremble the darkest mirror
Seeing no more a phantom there

Dwindled, diminished, obliterated
It is, I affirm, after the sun rises
That ghostly shadow of passing
Withstand! the death of paradise
My soul it's being torn apart,
Distrust and fears are rampant.
Lord heal this bleeding heart
But let not my feelings become absent

For the pain I feel Is a jealous burn
It feels like a burning knife
Help me Lord to trust my love
And put to an end my strife

A careless comment
from a joking friend
My mind enveloped in fear
these thoughts I wish could end

Trust is the key
And in you I must find rest
Lord I come to you for I know
You have in mind only the best

Give me faith
And end my fear
Let me trust my love
Who I hold so dear
gentle is the night.
the morning light
is too sharp for sight.
batlike, i shall hide,
waiting for the moon to rise.
I find your lips
so kissable.

And your kiss
unmissable.

Your fingertips
untouchable.

And your eyes
irresistible.
Let your dreams be few
too many would confuse
even one or two
(though small and homely) would do--wisely choose.

Many have dreams-wild and foolish
which but dazzle for a while --- only
to sadly fade away---there's nothing left to cherish
but a trail of regret and misery.
