I inhale pain
And exhale poetry

Take my hand and close your eyes
Together we will learn to fly

Let's lay under the moon
As the stars fall from the sky.

People are like bars of soap:
The tighter you hold on
The more they slip away.

Deep blue sea
What have you done to me?

You are a hurricane.
I don't know whether
To run from you
Or to chase you

Sometimes I wonder
Why I even fell for you.
And then I see you smile.
The way it lights up your whole face.
Who cold not
Fall in love with that?

The wind in her hair
And the sun on her face
She closes her eyes
And dreams of outer space

I lay here
On my beautifully
Tragic island
All alone
And I watch
The boats
As they shatter
on the rocks
Trying to reach
This unreachable island

My world is falling apart
And no one seems to care.

Don't just dream of happy days,
Make the days as happy as your dreams

Tell me, do you miss me?
Do you think of me at night?
Do you wish that,
You could hold me
And tell me that everything's alright
Do you hear me in the songs you sing
Or see me in all the little things
You do.
Cause those are all the things
I want to tell you.

Don't be afraid
To colour outside of
The lines

When in doubt,
Stick up the *******
Say
***** it.
This is my life
It's time for me To be happy again

Why do we expect
To be made whole again
When we fall in love?
When everything that falls
Winds up broken

Tell me how to forget about you
The same way you have forgotten
About me?

It wasn't until
You were gone
That I realized
I think
I'm in love with you.

It kills me,
Now that you're not here.
It kills me,
That I can't talk to you.
It kills me
That you are going on
Living your lif without me.
But the thing that kills me the most
Is the way that you have forgotten about me
In ways that I could never
Forget about you.

I'm trying to hold on to you
Instead of trying to hold onto me back,
You're slipping away

Some people get drunk through
Alcohol
Through other people's love,
The intimacy of a kiss.
I get drunk off of
The poetry you speak.

I can't discern left
From right when
I'm with you,
How am I supposed to
Think straight?

I wish I knew how to
Tell you how I feel.
Whether it be
In person
Or through writing.
But instead when I'm around you
My thoughts get jumbled.
I become incapable of forming
Coherent sentences.
Maybe the best way for me to tell you
Is to not tell you at all,
But to show you
What you do to me.

The world is my canvas,
But my hands are shakey  
I have the wrong brush
And my colours aren't clean

I can't get enough
Of your Teddy bear love

You are not driftwood, so don't go with the flow.

You can look but you won't find
The girl that you left behind.

If a tree falls
And no one is around to hear it
Does it make a sound?
If I'm falling apart on the inside
But no one can tell
Does that mean the pains
Not real?

You showed me something real
And the way you make me feel

Love is
Gentle
And caring
It's bittersweet  
It's magical.
But most of all
It's painful.

Don't over complicate things
Say what you mean,
And mean what you say.

We lock ourselves in high towers
Out of fear of someone hurting us again.
We build a moat and push everyone away
And then wonder why no one comes to save us

I have built a tower out of my fears
To protect me from harm.
I've built a blanket of my loneliness
To keep me warm at night

To my parents,
I hope you are out there.
I hope that you have not forgotten about me.
But I hope that you do not worry.
I have a family I love
And that loves me back.
I hope you still love me,
If you ever did.
Cause I love you.
You gave me this life.
I hope that you are healthy
And happy with your lives.
And I want you to know
That the daughter you didn't want
Is not sad that you did not want her.
But she is sad that you missed out
On everything I've become.
I hope that what you wanted
Was worth it too.
Cause you will never know someone
Quite like me.

I guess it's true
It's not you its me.
It's me who has insecurities
Who's afraid of never being loved
To break down the walls.
It's me who can't move quick enough for you
It's me who can't open up
To every question you ask.
It's me who can't get over the past
Who can't take a hard hit
And shrug it off.
It's me who carries around a large suitcase
Filled with the things I've seen
The baggage that I have to carry.
It's me who's slowing you down
And for that,
I'm sorry.

Some see weeds,
I see flowers.

I always pay a little more attention
And give a little more love
To the weeds in flower gardens,
Because, like me,
They are the odd ones out.

A beautiful bright star to call her own
Because the darkness is all she's ever known

Oh, Aphrodite I pray to thee
Find someone for me to love
And bring their heart to me.

We are lucky enough to be a chapter
in the Universe's storybook.
