Your kiss
stirred
my dull
         roots,
brought a
   a sheen
all over my
  being;
see it clearly
in my eyes
that borrowed
two stars
from some
  love struck
               galaxy
I'll be known
                widely
as your
"haloed lover"
hereafter.

your saliva
tasted like
fine wine,
fermented
moonbeams
added with
rainbow
just enough for fizz
'patented
just for one'
I heard the whisper
of your eyes.
I'll tightly wrap
my arms around you
to keep
the formula a secret,
strictly between us.

I am still
in intoxication
after all these
cycles of lives
If I should ever lose my sight
No longer seeing through these eyes
I still will gaze upon the prize
For my eyes they've seen the truth

If words no longer fill my mouth
If what I had to say did not come out
There would never be a doubt
I would continually sing my praise to you

If both my legs they were cut off
I would still be standing for the cause
Continuing in my faithful walk
Each day in you I stand anew

I know I'll never lose my heart
For it loves and knows How Great Thou art
To the very end from the very start
Jesus, I will always be in love with you
The song that was my life
Rang such a simple tune

Played by a four piece ragtime band
The only song they knew

But that was yesterday
Because today is you

Now the music of my life
Is the sweetest of melodies

Such an easy tune to hum
This song of you and me

I revel in who you are
My everlasting symphony
I move my fingers
up
&
down
they scribe,
pen pieces of my heart.

Can you feel them
moving in circles,
creating these
heartfelt lines,
can you ******* soul,
can you.

"Run!" -heavy breathing-
You cannot trust them
Please.. Don't wait for me
Go..
If you have faith in me, don't ever look back.
Promise me.. "
His voice was trembling
I know you want me to come back
Take me into your bleeding arms
How can I forsake you?
If this means my death, so be it
Your beautiful eyes, I need a sight of 'em
.. And so, I did turn around to run into his arms
-silence-
-collapsing onto the ground-
No.. NO!
I was bathing in his sacred blood
Moaning and screaming till it thundered
The silence was deafening
My slaughtered heart stared at the corpse
of the man that I saw God in
My tortured heart stared at the corpse
No..*

Woke up, gasped, started to cry out
You rushed into my room to wash away all my doubt
I wiped my tears and hugged you tight
.. this, yet one more proof of how lucky I am to give and get love
from people
Including you, or without.

two
Two is a number
Until you meet someone then
It's your destiny
Can't I just keep pretending
Like you are only *sleeping?
she* was the funny one
with wicked humour
and a sharp tongue
my cousin
she'd *****
so would i
we'd fight
we'd clash
but that was okay
because we were family
and that's what families do
she was the life
among us

we swam together
one on each lane
racing to the finish
or just helping each other make it
to the finish line

we laughed together
at the jokes that were cracked
laughing until our stomachs ached
and our eyes filled with tears

we sang together
four little voices trying to blend together
messily
but happily
we were happy

then she moved away
to a different place
to a different country
to different people

i remember
how she would
look in the mirror
everywhere we went

i remember
how she would run
against the wind
with her head tilted
so it would not mess her hair

i remember
her Michael Jackson dance
and the song she made
about a guy in our class

and i remember
when she made new best friends
and wore pounds of make up
and took pictures
with her cleavage showing
and we didn't meet up
because she never came back
and we rarely talked
because she was too busy
with life

a life where there is no me
no us
no inside jokes
no fighting
no sticking together

and what can i do
but sit here
and watch
as she goes out into the world
and the world changes her
until she only was
the person i once knew best
Part two of "Best Friends Forever?", which are just a jumble of thoughts penned down
