Oh, you and I, let's try to stand
To leave this rough and crazy land
Let's make the move and escape from strand
Come take my hand, come take my hand

Our life could be so dull and bland
Things could be hard and not that grand
Our love taught us to understand
Just take my hand, just take my hand.
Monotetra at this time...

You are not too old to dream a dream
Not too weak to walk a mile
If you really want to see the light
There at the end of the tunnel, you can find
When you take the risk, when you take the chance...
Take it.

I said I love that black sando
You said it's tank top
Whatever it is, sweetheart
I just want you to know
You are always adorable to me
Whether you wear black or white
It is not the outside that I see
But your golden heart inside
So when I say I love that tank top
I want to hug and kiss it
I actually mean I love you
I want to hug and kiss you
The way you hug and kiss me
*Since you took my heart
I will always remember their story. :)

Oh, sorry, my man
You're teasing me again
But I won't be affected
I won't change how I feel
Always and forever
It's the same heartbeat
Unaffected by your teasing. lol

It's not easy to accept that some things really wouldn't last
Even the people you want to keep are just like those butterflies
Once they get out of their cocoon, they would seek for their own lives
But what is painful when you realized that they have found another heart

I am not greedy, not that selfish but it really really hurts
Knowing that someone you love the most won't be with you until the last
Why this world has to make you feel that you are alone from the start
There'll be borrowed moments, borrowed joys, but you can never borrow a heart

"If they will come to get you here, will you really go with them?"
"I won't," he said. "You know that I love you, you know me well.
But maybe when I grow old, I can go and live with them"
That made my tears roll down my face, my broken heart, I cannot tell

I thought I have him here with me and will be mine until the peak
I thought someone will care about me as my own blood when I am sick
I thought he's not temporary, that he is mine, though I don't speak
Oh, why I have to over-think about these things that make me weak?

Over-thinking...

Lover of yesterday
You rise and shine
Fragmented into pieces
Yet coated with art

Colored teardrops
Harmonic cries
Tessellated walls
Of your broken heart
Tessellate: to form or arrange in a checkered or mosaic pattern

God is a great teacher and we are His students
He prepares examinations for us
Which He knows according to the level of our strengths
He even knows we will pass His tests
Just a random thought for tonight.

Thank you for the love
Thank you for the understanding
You never gave up on me

Yesterday, today and forever!
I love you forever!

That girl is always waiting
To read words from you
To see your heart and spirit
Yes, she's your number one supporter
That girl is your number one fan
Forever
That girl will always be
Your baby girl
She is and forever will be. <3

That girl in the rain
You found yesterday
Who was crying alone
Now that you're with her
She still cries, but not in pain
There are tears of joy
And smiles and laughter
Because you came
An angel to her

That girl in the rain
Who saw rain like tears
Now that you opened her eyes
Rain becomes a beautiful thing
You never leave her
Together, you dance in the rain

I can see clearly
Two shadows under the rain--
A man with wings
And *that girl in the rain
.
She loves the rain. <3 <3 <3

He is the most creative man for me
The kindest guy, like angel that I see
He is with me, he never sets apart
He is the one, the man who stole my heart.

He always smile and never mad at me
He understands what gal I need to be
Why things are made and how to make a start
He's helping me, that man who stole my heart

When I'm with him I almost cannot speak
My tongue seems tied, my words I cannot seek
But when he smiles, I know I can be smart
He inspires me, that man who stole my heart
I fell in love again with the same man...

My skin  is now ready for your eyes
Not for a stranger in the night
I know you are waiting for a rhyme
Like a rainbow that's out of sight

I painted birds and  chickens on canvass
I know you'll remember this day
Spend time calculating the hues
To create a piece all the way

You may fall short of  time and chance
Sometimes you may pause and then hurry
But that's how we  create like we explode
Be obedient if you don't want to feel sorry.

-----

She's an artist. She paints.  She write songs,  poems and stories.  Even a stranger  could prove that. Her skin tattoos speak so well.  You can see flowers and animals on her arms,  neck and shoulder.  So funny that even chickens can be seen once you closely look at those marks.

As a poet,  she mostly observe rhyme and meter.  She would always spend time calculating the syllables in a line.  She always remember her mentor's teachings even when writing short pieces. There was no moment that she's not obedient of the rules she had learned from him. She won't forget that anything should not be done in a hurry.

She is an artist,  and her  creativity is like an emotion that is going to explode once properly set.

She's the artist of love
She creates every piece of art
By getting a tiny piece of her heart
Every song are words
That echoes from her spirit
Every stroke of brush
Contains a song from within
Every poem she writes
Has the color of her paint
Every story she tells
Has the verse of her soul
She's an artist in love

Wearing the gown you have chosen for me
I walked through the aisle with this pink bouquet
A smile painted in me with sparks of  love
Now I'm going to forget yesterday

You welcomed me with your arms open wide
You held my hand and let me wear the ring
We gave our vow then the kiss, as a seal
We heard our heartbeats like the songs we sing

The people's joy and the greetings they gave
As endless as the love that you recite
We entered our room to complete our bind
To wait for another dream for a night.

But when you made a crown for me
And put it on my head
I tried to forget how I hate its thorns

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow

Every step I make, I feel you are there
Though even a little bit you do not care

Alas! I felt those warm hands holding mine
While my eyes are closed, I can feel the twine

Just to be surprised it is not you, dear
You are there watching, cannot hide your sneer

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow.

A sweet music plays, then you hold my hand
Take me to dance in the middle of the night
Eye to eye, your hands on my hips
I don't want to take you out of my sight

My teardrops flow, sweetest of all
You press your lips against mine
This is the happiest moment of my life
Tasting your lips as sweet as wine

But why it's turning dark, just like before?
I feel so weak and afraid again
For in this dark room I cannot see
My shadow that comforts me when I'm in pain...
Alone...

If you cannot see from my eyes the truth, the love I feel
If you cannot see from them what my heart says
How come you've taught me they are the window to my soul?
How come I've seen from yours the love you have for me?
How come you don't know? Why can't you see?
Are your eyes blind or they're the ones that lie*?
Do the eyes lie?

You said "Faith, Not Fear"
And I always believe in you
And I believe in God
And his faithful love
My love, nothing can change us
Nothing can lead us
to separate directions
We will chase our dreams
We will fly together
to face our future
That will be ours
You and I
Yes, you and I
Only you and I
Forever...
Nothing can change my love...

I saw you there
Holding a precious gift -
The one I dreamed for so long
So I moved and made few steps
To be closer to you
While you smiled at me
And made a sign that
You want to give me the gift

I made another step
And another more steps
But still I can't reach you
And the gift you wanted to give me

You are there
Smiling at me
While holding the gift
And yes, I can feel it-
I can feel the air
I can feel a different breeze
While getting closer
And closer to you

I know I need more strength
And persistence
So that I can hold your gift
Someday, somehow.
One day...

Christmas had passed
New Year is coming
And I haven't wrap a gift for you

Yet I see it here
Shining like the sun
Something that won't make you blue

I've kept it for so long
To give you as present
Though I can't send it right

Still, I have this hope
That you will hold it well
When the time is right

I wish you will take care
You won't let it cold
It will stay so warm

Or maybe hot enough
Through the test of times
Away from all the harms

Yes, I have a gift for you
A very special gift
I want you to receive

This is only for you
My life, my everything
My all I want to give

Now detaining my precious,
Aloof and so vulnerable
Yet he is careful
Scared to crush the gem
Into smithereens
For it cannot be the same
Once it is broken

Thank you for the great room this place has provided me
I was just like a little kid writer who wants to be free
In this house everyone has a special place to dance
Where one can sing and paint all words anytime, not just once

Thank you for the time spent reading all my words
For listening to my songs and understanding all the chords
My poems are just the scribbles coming from heart and soul
But I do wish a word can heal, one of my greatest goals

Thank you for the ray of light each of us have made
We are like a family, our sunshine never fades
Keep up all the good works, keep shining in this world
Each of us is a treasure, more precious than a gold

This is our house, my sisters, my brothers hear my call
Let us keep the peace and love by understanding all
We should not condemn or judge whatever word we say
Provided that we're not casting stones in all the ways

Hear the song  a singer sings to express all his love and care
Read the lines a poet has made like his heart and mind he shares
Look at the photographs when someone shows with joy
Could you ignore them and see them like your oldest toy?

A piece of art is still an art, either happy or sad
Why one would look at other's work as something that is bad?
Unless the post is like a gun pointed on your head
I know we have our eyes to see the real dark or red

This is our house, dear housemates, this is  our home
We live by our thoughts, our life is there in our poems
This is our place together, we should walk hand-in-hand
Speak our minds and listen, together we will stand!

~~¤~~
Let the speaker speak and hear the words you want to hear
If you do not want the song, then you don't have to scream
Need not to cast a stone and envy when one is tall
Life is like a cycle, tomorrow your name could be on the wall...

I know you are good in assumptions
Your assessments are the best
Even the things only One would know
Because you are a fine judge
Who you think you are

But your judgment now is not
What matters at all
To the critical...
Another venting.

I come into a place
where everything is floating
It is a dark place for me,
nothing will pass into my liking

The houses are haunted
and thorns are everywhere
It is like a dangerous forest,
all paths lead to nowhere

At first I am scared
and I want to run away
Creatures have different languages,
I don't understand what they say

Everyone seems grinning
Like they want to tear me apart
What else would I think and do
If I feel they would break my heart?

But I have nowhere to go
so I decided to take the risks
I am scared but there's little courage
I am gripping with my fists

With the flicker of hope I wander
to study the mysterious place
Bit by bit I learn something,
enough to cope within each phase

Until I find little creatures
that thriving on a haunted tree
When I stop nearer to them,
they seem so scared, so afraid of me

I feel that sadness, I am bothered,
why they're afraid, I'm just harmless
My little hands could do nothing,
I just want to watch them exist

But  suddenly one of them comes
closer and flies in front of me
I realize it want to be handled
so I open my hand and let it be

It settles down on my open hand
while I walk around, it is my light
And I'm thankful for the little lamp
now I have lessen my fright

A little light that gives me hope
it makes me strong and lessens my load
That tomorrow I can find the way
to get out of this darkest road...
Sometimes answers come in unexpected forms...

I am the sunshine
the ray of your first light
that kisses your cheek
and gives you warmth in these cold days

I can enter even at your sealed room
can pass through your closed windows
to watch you there in peace
while holding the glass bird in your hand

I give you the torch,
the lamp that you need when the room goes dark
and the flame when something needs to be held
like holding a glass of  rain and a bottle of wind

You tell me that stars are not far
while oceans are just few steps ahead
That my warmth gives you that strength
to build the ladders and bridges we need

Yes, I am your light
and I will share my glow with you
Until the last beam that I have
Because being your light gives me life

For you are the ember
that ignites my light to spark
For you are who  I am
And together we will share this light.

Two decades and still
You're the Lighthouse
On the shore of my heart

Decades may turn into centuries
And you will still be the same Lighthouse
Spreading your rays into the walls
Of my heart

Centuries may turn into eternity
And you will be the Lighthouse
That forever shines
Into the hearts of those
Who will remember our story

You are the Lighthouse
I am the sea
And this is our story*.

There's a mansion that I know
Where many people come and go
The owner invites visitors each day
Then entertains them, let them stay

The guests are happy, they feel good
There are many free clothes and foods
They celebrate a party each night
They eat and dance until the first light

Since all the guests are good people
They're not selfish nor ungrateful
They work for free, they clean each part
Love the place from the bottom of their hearts

But the owner turns into someone
Who doesn't understands who's a free man
He starts treating each guest like a child
There comes a time he acts so wild

The rumors spread to all the guests
They start to observe, make their quests
Each day one of them finds something
That makes him leave on the next morning

There's a mansion that I know
Where many people come and go
Each door has a secret to unfold
Will you come to that place to find a gold?
Relate?

I met a man, a man who talks and talks
He weaves fabrics and makes them into socks
Then sell the socks and buy some antique clocks
The clocks are then put into a precious box

This man I met, is man who talks and talks
Even he sits, or whenever he walks
He also writes stories 'bout the docks
Or clouds and trees, even worlds of faux

He is the man who loves talking to himself
In front of mirror kept so long from a shelf...
Having fun with rhymes :)

She always look outside her door
Or stay beside her window pane
She wants to know and see much more
Her neighbor’s deeds and what they gain

She has to meet the rich and poor
She always look outside her door
But that motive of yesterday
Gone with the wind, 'twas blown away

She’s now but an observant one
Who always judge and sneers at man
She always look outside her door
Seems she forgot what is life  for

This poor woman, she never know
That now she looks like a scarecrow
While her feet stands flat on the floor
She always look outside her door.
Quatern
A Quatern is a sixteen line French form composed of four quatrains. It is similar to the Kyrielle and the Retourne. It has a refrain that is in a different place in each quatrain. The first line of stanza one is the second line of stanza two, third line of stanza three, and fourth line of stanza four. A quatern has eight syllables per line. It does not have to be iambic or follow a set rhyme scheme.

I thought I was good enough
To earn everyone’s love
I shared my life—
I offered my shoulders
I opened my arms
I listened to their pleas
I carried their loads
I gave everything in me
Everything
Until I find myself helpless
Weak and hopeless
Because there’s nothing left after all

I wept and felt all alone
But I was still wrong
I thought there’s no one left
But still there’s You
The One who stays
No matter what

When everybody walks away
You never leave me,
My Lord.
He will never leave you.

(A Short Story)

One night I had this dream. I was walking along a trail in a forest. I was so afraid. I called for help...and then somebody came. It's you. You walked with me in my journey. I was so happy that somebody was  walking beside me. I knew I won't be alone. Not anymore...

But the trail was becoming so dangerous. I was wounded, and so were you. We continued to walk...and walk. Until I finally saw you running away from me.

"Wait!" I shouted while trying to follow you.
"I don't know you. I have my own journey. I'm sorry," you shouted back.

What shall I do? I tried to follow you but you were already out of my sight. I waited for an hour...which turned into day. It's becoming darker and I feel more scared. Shall I wait for more hours... or days? I give up! I won't wait any longer. You left me with no choice but to walk on my own. I have to be stronger. I have to reach the end of the trail.

So I walked alone for it was the only choice.
You left me with no choice...

She undressed in front of the mirror
Then stared at it once again
To that amazing canvass for years
To it, painted every emotion
Every pain, every laughter
Yes, both her joy and sadness
The storms she has faced
The mountains she has climbed
The seas, the rivers, the lakes
Every wave she passed
But the most beautiful painting
Was the man holding a glass bird
It is there, where she can hear her heartbeats
That painting...

Today is the perfect day, the finest day of my death
Holding a fine bouquet like this is the perfect wreath
Those eyes are watching me while I'm wearing this wedding dress
But the queen in their eyes, has these heart and mind in a mess.

I remember the last time that we talked to each other
When you gave me that call that I won't forget forever
I was trying to be strong but my eyes were full of tears
I tried to say these words though my heart was full of fears:

"My love, at this time, I won't ask so many things from you
You have done so much for me and you know it hurts me so
I can do nothing today but just to cry over you
You'll be alone and I'm here preparing to say "I do".

But I have a request my love, the  last favor I'll ask
Before the day of my wedding, please be there, please come so fast
Don't be late, be on time, I will wait for you 'til the last
When I give my vow to him, there won't be no time for us."

And now I am walking in this humble aisle of  my grave
I take the last glance at the door for a hope that I'll be saved
But no shadow of you there, now I have to face my death
I can hear my heart's mourning from the sound of the wedding bells.

Today is the perfect day, the finest day of my death
Holding a fine bouquet like this is the perfect wreath
As I have realized how fool I am, why I believed?
Today is the perfect day, let them watch my perfect death...

I  was awaken by the song
Playing on the radio
The librettos are familiar
To my ever longing soul
So I get an old photograph
Of us together
I put it on my chest
Close to my heart
As the melody pacifies the air
My soul  sways again
Ah, it is always you, my love
The reason,
My *joie de vivre
Joie de vivre: a delight in being alive
: keen, carefree enjoyment of living

The truth is-
    she really hates men
    wearing shiny glasses
    and boots
    riding on their big bikes
    like Kings of the Road

But everything changed
when she met at an old park,
someone who writes in simple paper
simple words of encouragement
and lessons based on his life

He was wearing shiny glasses
    and boots
    and black hat
but never rode on a big bike

She loves his works so much-
   simple but elegant
   sometimes hot, sometimes not
   some are with silly things,
   but most are inspiring

His words feed her soul a lot

So if ever he forgets the way
back to that old park
she will search for him
or wait and pray

Only his words feed her soul a lot...

On their way to the park, they walk hand-in-hand
With the smiles on their face as they have now the band
People are looking, some are murmuring and frowning
As they see two people like morning and evening.

Why do these folks cannot see the light?
What's wrong with numbers- the age, weight or height?
If they have differences, should they care for those words
Or nothing but their hearts with common beats and chords?

Yet the woman smiles, she then hugs her man
She's not worried at all but now the proud woman
Why not? He's a gift, the most precious gem
What matters is the love that is real between them.
Inspired by a scene in a park.

She met him
Like a gentle rain pouring
Touching her skin
Healing the wounds
Of yesterday

She has to go away
For the purpose of
Painting the smile in his face

His laughter
Her tears
They will never meet
Just like in her dreams

She now sees the sky
The rain is going to fall again
But not like before...
She wants him to be happy...

There is...

There was a story that I once told
Nobody believed me, felt they were so cold
I was hopeless to see a heart made of gold
Who could understand my story ten times fold

There was a woman who smiles in everything
In every moment, every situation that it brings
She was there hiding behind the mask while she sings
Nobody knows her tears, she's holding on to her last string

There was a story that I once cried with you
Now it was just a story to recall when I want to
Seeing us together, strong and faithful as we grow
There was a story, now I can't recall but you.

"Where is your ring?" I asked upon seeing his finger. It's not there.

"I pawned it," he said. "You know the reason."

I can't say a thing. I just looked at my finger where the ring with the same design is there.

"Actually, I need to borrow yours," he said.

I feel the tightness inside my chest. It's so hard to breathe.

I looked at his eyes while wanting to ask why, but no word came out of my mouth. I can do nothing. The ring came from his family. Now he wants me to look at it as something he still owns.

While trying to control my tears, I took the ring from my finger and gave it to him.

"Thank you," he said while smiling.

I turned my back so he won't see my tears falling...
It was never mine...

Claire looked at Edna like asking her help in making a decision.

"Do you want them? Then buy them," Edna's voice is low. She pity her sister but she doesn't want to show it to her.

Claire got her wallet and smiled to the saleslady. "I will," she said.

Tomorrow, they will go back to their province.  Claire will not ask Ron again to give the original wedding ring to her.

Tomorrow, Claire and Ron will wear the sign that they are husband and wife.

She smiles while looking at her finger with nothing on it. The ring she bought a year ago was there inside a box.

She will not wear it anymore.
In silence...

She is the stained girl,  a diffident dreamer
Who looks for the sun and the rain together
Her  panache is to craft blissful memories
Festooned with vivid thoughts, her accessories

She is the stained girl,  a feeble believer
Who relies on a happy ever after
Yet scared to be seen from her cheerful facade,
Something that would charge her of being a fraud

She saunters in the midst of the piqued storms
Resounding the hues of the jaundiced norms
Like a bird highlighted with vibrant plumes
To fly around the walls of perplexing rooms

She wears the best maquillage, old and new
To make everyone away from being blue
She offers her hair, those gilded strands
Yet they exploit her gift with their vicious hands

She is the stained girl who seeks for uprightness
Yet pain has shaped her with creased faithfulness
In front of a looking glass, there I see
That magnificent, stained girl looks like me.
*Stained here is colored or painted.

"Stealer!" I said to him
But I am not even mad
For he stole nothing from me
But my soft and loving heart...
For the silly couple I knew :)
