Through the forest of trees from your lips

I can read your unspoken words.

       As each leaf falls

the view becomes much more clear.

Words that once reverberated through the forest

seem as lifeless as the fallen leaves at my feet.

I await a rush of fresh air

to stir and animate the dead silence around me.

I hate this
The way you make me feel.

I cry
Every
Single
Day that I don’t see you
Obsessive over little things,
My mind runs at 1000 miles per hour.

Your eyes: green, orange too,
I could study them for days and see something new every minute.

You make me laugh to my stomach - I think you’re the first to ever do that
And you make me wail in sadness - I think you’re the first for that too
I’m losing my mind

Not everyone can accept you
It takes time
But all will be ok because people will realise that you are who you are
And no one can change that.

So let’s run away
Rob a bank
Hot-wire a car
Or just live one day at a time

I love this

Wet paint!
Well it is.
Obviously I'll try
The sign was right
Now,
stuck to my hand
the colour green
I facepalm!

recognize
the untold power
in your own strength
plant seeds in the hurt
where others threw dirt
use your tears
to water the cracks
your heart once lacked
because
those are the places
your light shines through
your darkness is a reminder
that all you’ve ever needed
is radiating from you

Promises last
As long as you make them
Intentions
Of promises being kept
Is a fickle measurement

I’ve left footprints
in deserts
where no man’s been
in millennia; a thirst
not yet quenched
these dry cracked lips
can still spit out a poem
on old buzzards’
bones, trekking alone
whistling Dixie, my brother
I’ve a few miles yet to go.
Yo. :)
I hear ya, brother. Laugh with me.
