I am a Christian, what is wrong with that?
You make me look like some kind of rat
Why are you so hateful?
This time that I take to convince you isn't wasteful

I love Jesus, I love God
But some people think this is odd
I don't know why they act like this is new
When everything I preach is actually true

"Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong"
I used to love the sun on my skin
warming me from the outside in
then an aberration change happened
now it torments me
it rays bury deep
making me wobbly
and dizzy
making me tired
and nauseous
making my heart pound
and my mind into mush
the heat is my kryptonite
slowly draining me
once I'm in its grasp
aberration: a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically one that is unwelcome

you never listen to the words i don’t say, but that’s what i always need you to do

until your today
bleeds into your yesterday
there is no spark,
there is no connection.
there stands only the dry
and the tethering affliction:
we hold onto until
the day buries the night away.

you dance
ill be the shadows
in your hair at the party
ill be the tinsel
on your dress
or the embers
lingering from the fireplace

you smile
ill be the sweet fruit tea
in your red cup
and the lollipop stick
you chew
long after
the candy is gone
If you are afraid to die
Then you are not ready

A person is like a light bulb
The light comes from within

Death extinguishes light
from the outside in

But the live wires of life
will still remain

Waiting on someone to turn the switch on again

Death pats itself on the back but then

Life puts the dagger into
it's empty hand
Life is so harsh
perhaps that's why
nature gave us
flowers and butterflies
to help us forget the pain
even if only
for a moment.
