Bt even broken
I gather myself
Rising from what tried to end me
Proofing that pain
Cannot silence light
Still burning in me.

Will someone please
Just look at me
And ask
What are you doing
You are being so reckless
Why are you risking it all
Dont you know you are going to fall

But I would answer with a smile
A real one
Im happy
I’d say
The danger makes it fun
The chase makes it a game
Im finally doing okay

a moth mistook my lamp
for the moon,
and broke itself
believing
the light was love.
